2025: $800 out of pocket for an MRI with insurance. $450 if paid in cash, wish the US Healthcare system wasn't so broken. 2026: Showed up to have an ultrasound done just to be told they can't do it because I can't have eaten in the last 5 to 6 hours. No one bothered to tell me this on the phone during scheduling. I was quoted $66 with insurance on the phone, in person they quoted me $221 which I paid just before being told they couldn't do it and to schedule it another day. Last straw. Shame as they're a 15 minute walk away. read more

1. They called and left a message to ask me to confirm my appointment. I called back and was on hold for 15 minutes and then they answered and immediately hung up on me. Why can't they provide a text option to avoid this ridiculousness? 2. I stood in the lobby for 15 minutes before one of the staff, all of whom were just talking among themselves, could finally help me. The guy who checked me in was a low talker who spoke in a monosyllabic manner and made zero eye contact. Checking in for a medical appointment when staff is abundant should be much easier. 3. Scheduling the appointment was also difficult. I told them I could come in any day except Tuesday and I had to schedule after 12. She suggested 8 am on Tuesday. I repeated my request. She suggested 9 am on Tuesday. Again I repeated my request. She suggested 10 am on Tuesday. It became too frustrating and I had to call back to speak to someone who could listen. 4. On the upside , the imaging technician could not have been nicer, more efficient, or more helpful. She made the entire process very simple and was very communicative and professional. Conclusion: once you get through the labyrinth of unskilled and uncaring workers , the professionals are extremely patient focused, kind, and proficient. read more

although staff was pleasant, especially in light of location's declining numbers, appt was a problem before it began. After Dr's referral, I as called repeatedly to make appointment. Then at reception beforehand I asked about co-pay then told there was none. Turned out wrong ins ID entered, then there were billing problems because I DID owe a co-pay. This caused delay in payment. Now I'm worried abut negative impact on my credit rating. Don't know if other Touchstone centers are as bad, but recommend avoiding this downtown facility. read more

I went to Touchstone Imaging Uptown for an X-ray and MRI earlier this week. I was NOT in a good mood when I arrived because I knew that that MRI would be painful. As soon as I approached the front desk, this wonderful woman greeted me with a huge smile. She was so kind, so helpful, and so accommodating that I forgot all about being afraid of that MRI. She is probably among the best customer service managers I have ever encountered. It was memorable, to say the least! THEN, my MRI technician was also amazing. She helped me get comfortable on that MRI and was very helpful in making sure I had what I needed. I am very grateful to them both. But wait! There's more! Then, I went to XRAY, where my X-ray technician was the nicest guy I have ever met. He was so kind, helpful, and wonderful that I got through the X-rays with a breeze. I am so grateful to these medical workers who made my life better while I visited their establishment. They were truly inspiring in every way. Thank you! read more

First, let me say that I have gotten nothing but great service from the receptionist and tech. I give this a 2 star because they told me my results would be posted very quickly. It has been 5 days and I have left a message and received no call back. I finally got a live person who was nice but he couldn't find anyone at the Wheatridge location to answer his call. It is nerve-wracking enough to wait for the results, but to just leave me without an answer for 5-7 days and wondering if everything is alright isn't acceptable. It is now Friday and I won't be able to talk with anyone until Monday. read more

One of the staffs called so I can make an appointment at Touchstone Imaging Uptown Location. This recent visit was sometime back on Thursday February 23rd 2017. My Appointment was at 12 noon. From the Ultrasound that needed to be done, I NEED to drink 20fl oz of water 45 minutes before the Ultrasound appointment. I arrived way before 12 noon, enter Touchstone Imaging and made the proper EXACT payments at the counter etc. The staffs answered all my questions thoroughly. The staffs are very accommodating and the technician who handle the ultrasound for me, reassured me that things will run smoothly. There is one procedure, that I was not keen to be done at this location. One of the staffs called my OBGYN to verify, and from the conversations they had, I don't need to do that "procedure". Professional services aside, their billing problems are a mess. First, there were difficulties with the insurance company reimbursement. To quote from the comments on the invoice, "claim information is inconsistent with pre certified authorized services." (whatever that means). Then I had to download an app, "papaya" to pay online. The app would accept my input and then later send me a notice to reinput my DOB. I would do this and would get a confirmation This happened multiple times. Finally I got an email that my payment had been declined. To repeat, there are issues with their billing practices. read more

This was one of the best MRI experiences I've ever had. The waiting room was pleasent and they had snacks - which is a nice touch since I'm always too nervous to remember to eat before an MRI. The staff was all very welcoming and conversational - which was also great because it helped relax me a little. Best part for me was that I didn't have to change into freezing cold scrubs and had the option to keep my shoes on (since I wasn't wearing metal) AND they gave me headphones connected to Pandora that played my choice of music. The headphones didn't really block out the sounds of the machine, but it was nice have to something to listen to I'm the background. They really did everything they could to make one of the most uncomfortable experiences almost enjoyable and I'm really happy this is where my Dr. referred me. read more

Staff is extremely incompetent and the lady at the front desk wanted to argue with me over whether I was sent a text reminder to show up early for my appointment or not. She then proceeds to tell me that this location requires $450 upfront for an MRI. Ha! Not only are you rude to me, but then you want to demand $500 when I show up with no prior message or anything telling me this information? Absolutely unacceptable & unprofessional. read more

I was referred here twice by two different doctors for pelvic ultrasounds. Both times I arrived early and waited longer than 15 minutes after my appointment time (but whatever, not too bad fora healthcare facility). The techs were nice and I felt comfortable but both times the doctors repeated the ultrasounds in the office and got different results than shown in the touchstone report. The billing is the huge problem here. The first time I inquired if I was being billed for everything (radiologist plus appointment) and was assured there would be no further charges. Several weeks later I got a bill. I called but was told that they had made an error and I would have to pay--I supposed that everyone makes mistakes occasionally so I paid it. The second appointment I was told that my copay was $370 after insurance, so I paid it and again asked if I would be getting another bill and told "no", Later I got my EOB from insurance and found that they had charged me more than twice what my copay is! The insurance company is helping me figure it out. Needless to say, I will not be going back. My doctors are going to have to find another imaging place to send me. read more

Last time I required an MRI (@ a different location/clinic), the machine was breaking every 10 minutes, and I was there for 3.5 hours. I re-tore my ACL in August and tried Touchstone Imaging Uptown for my MRI. They were one of several calls but by far the most accommodating. Getting an appt. was seamless. Parking was not an issue. The staff was incredibly friendly and fast. I was out of there in no time at all. Rarely do I walk out of a medical appt. and say out loud "that was easy." I highly recommend this place! read more

Horrible customer service! Hours are posted saying open until 1:00 on Saturday. I called two days before to verify hours and insurance. Dr sends orders on Friday. We drive across town Saturday and arrive here just past noon and they are closed. No one answers the phone. We wait for 38 minutes. And keep calling. This is horrific. I will speak to the director and owner of this business. Inexcusable service. Now I have to take time off of work and my kids will miss school on Monday to come back and get my their X-rays. Here's the quick rundown. I got scheduled quickly at the exact time I wanted - 2 days in advance. The parking is beyond easy. Big parking lot. Checking in was a breeze with a professional and polite employee. My tech couldn't have been better as far as timelines, communication, and professionalism. I was in and out in less than 45 minutes, and that is even with new insurance and paperwork to fill out. If I need imaging here in Denver - this is "the place". Horrible. Avoid this place. Went in for xray/scan and paid using flex spending card. 4 months later I receive a notification from Experian that there is a negative item in my credit report. It turns out that it is associated with a credit collections agency at the request of SCL Touchstone Imagining. I never received a SINGLE call from Touchstone or received a SINGLE letter requesting payment. I paid the collection agency immediately, but the negative item remains on my credit report. You would think that someone from Touchstone would have least called, emailed, or requested payment before turning over to collection agency. I guess there style is "just flip it over to a collection agency". read more

Touchstone was so easy to deal with and the staff was so helpful and efficient. I will never go back to the hospital where I have had MRIs and CT scans in the past. I will only use Touchstone from now on. From the first call I made Lakaisha was friendly and helpful. She went out of her way to find my referral/orders and get me scheduled quickly. When I checked in the next morning she remembered me and all my questions from the day before and had everything ready for me. They are quick and efficient. My appointment was at 10:00 they took me back at 9:58 and I was completely done with my CT scan at 10:15. I was shocked at how quick and easy everything was. ***This is about the billing process, not about the people **** The people at the facility are kind and accommodating. My procedure was smooth. At the time, I had to submit the copay according to my insurance plan. OK, no problem. The service took place at the end of May. FSA requested a detailed bill a few weeks later. The billing department was quick to send a detailed breakdown at my request. Here's the disappointing part. I had a credit. Touchstone received payment from the insurance company in June. There was no balance. My copay was actually less, and I was owed money. No one contacted me. I had to call and REQUEST a refund. If I had not requested a detailed bill, if I had not called to get a refund, who knows how it would have taken for some system alert to show credit due. My company does end of month balancing of accounts. Not sure if Touchstone has that type of diligence. read more

I usually only review restaurants, but this place did such a great job I felt compelled to write one for them. The staff here is super friendly and goes out of their way to be accommodating. The facility is comfortable and clean. I don't have any anxiety about tight spaces, but they make every effort to create a warm and relaxing environment. Personally, I could have laid in the machine all day. Hopefully I don't have a reason to go back anytime soon, but I feel confident it will be a great experience if I do. read more

Lots of my office's patients are sent here. I have to call to set up their appointments and have been super disappointed in the customer service. There were a few ladies who worked there that were amazing, but they are gone. New employees are rude, leave people on hold for extended periods of time, and never seem to get the test orders. Would really prefer my office to use someone else. read more

Touchstone Imaging..where they are proud to harass disabled people. We went to a show at the Ogden. I have a handicap placard and need wheel chair accessible parking which is almost non existent down town. Touch stone was closed and had a wheel chair accessible place. They are obviously unaware of the ADA and the City of Denver's handicap parking rules, because they had our vehicle towed while we were across the street. Again..their business was CLOSED and there was no other wheel chair accessible parking within a reasonable distance. We had to find a wheel chair accessible taxi and were charged $300 to retrieve our vehicle. What a craptastic attitude towards people with disabilities. I am taking this up with the City of Denver and the ADA. This is a horrible business for towing a wheel chair bound person's vehicle legally parked in a handicap space. I went in to get an ultrasound and right up front the receptionist tells me that I owe $155. I told her that they usually bill my insurance and then bill me for what my insurance did not cover and she told me that they already billed my insurance and that I had to pay the amount of $155. I was shocked that they would bill my insurance before I even entered the office and I was also really stressed because my business had been shut down because of the CoronaVirus and I had no income. So I paid but later contacted the manager to explain that I really needed that money for groceries and she apologized and said that I was misinformed by the receptionist and that I didn't have to pay up front. So I asked if I could get my money back and be billed and she said that the credit card company they use does not let them offer refunds. She said that she would talk to the board and see what they could do. I called back as I hadn't heard from her and she said she was still waiting to hear back. I messaged again and no response.
