I haven't had a massage give me instant relief like this in years. For context, I had a pretty bad motorcycle accident in 2019 that led me to two hip surgeries & a surgery to repair my meniscus. Since 2019, most athletic endeavors have been met with a ton of pain and discomfort - and after my initial session here I knew I needed to continue to get work done with Jonathan and scheduled another session. I'd highly recommend Jonathan to anyone - he's super knowledgable and addresses your concerns immediately. Really looking forward to being a client for the foreseable future and what that will mean for my wellbeing. read more

I had a major hip surgery. Once I started physical therapy, I was in so much pain because all my muscles were constantly firing to compensate for my lack of strength. My pain was so bad I couldn't walk for more than 10 minutes but after a few sessions my muscles relaxed and my pain went away. Jonathan helped relieve my pain so I could continue strengthening my muscles. He is very knowledgeable with what he does. I would highly recommend him. read more

I have been getting massages for years from local brick and mortar establishments in the West LA area. I would feel relaxed after the sessions but wouldn't notice much improvement in my muscle tightness and relief of knots afterwards. They seem to offer a one sized fits all approach going through the same motions on each and every visit without much focus on the specific areas that I was having issues with. Jonathan took the time to inquire and discuss my goals for the session, then honed in on the areas most important to me. He applied a broad range of techniques and approaches to relieve muscle tension, some of which I hadn't seen before. I hopped off of the table with a new lease on life, feeling muscle tension relief I hadn't found in any of my aforementioned massage establishment sessions. It's also worth mentioning that he was early for his appointment which is very rare for any LA mobile service business. He was very courteous, respectful, and professional throughout all of our interactions. I would highly recommend Jonathan to anyone seeking massage/sports massage services. read more

I was dying for a massage but didn't want to drive anywhere. Jon was available and came to the house on a Saturday. I wore loose clothes and he had no problem with that. He has a good touch especially with my neck and feet, where I have problems. 1 1/2 hrs. $155. For someone who comes to the house, I think that is reasonable. He brings his own table, very comfortable, and if you prefer chair massage, he has that too. He plays very nice meditation-type music and I almost dozed off at the end. Felt very relaxed and less creaky. Already scheduled again. read more

Been looking for good massage therapist in west LA, tried many options. Happy with the care from Jon! Haven't found anyone that can compare in the area. Each massage is custom and adjust to what your body needs and pain you have. He's great at figuring out what's misaligned and causing issues to provide actual relief. And provide very good pressure so you body responds well to the treatment. Recommend for deep chronic shoulder issues, posture/back pain. read more

Jonathan is amazing! I feel like he cares about his clients and clearly knows his stuff. He's been treating me for a few months for general muscle tightness and my back pain. He's helped ease my pain and giving me advice to fix the underlying problem. One thing Jonathan does well is knowing how much pressure to apply and where. He finds every knot and problem area without much feedback. read more

So happy I found Jonathan! He is always on time, listens to what issues I have and makes sure to focus and follow up on how areas are feeling. He has a wonderful set up, strength, knowledge and tools. I look forward to using him for years to come. read more

Intuitive and knowledgable, Jonathan provides an outstanding therapeutic massage. Exhaling and relaxing comes very naturally to me when working with a gifted therapist like him. Word of mouth is often the best bet for finding someone you can trust, and that's how I got wind of Touch Brilliance. Happily, he's great. And yes, Mobile is in the name, too. (Haven't had a mobile massage in years, but man, could it make things any easier?) Communication is key, and it was very easy to share my trouble-spots and concerns. A great listener, Jonathan takes it all into account, and incorporates his expertise and instincts for a great massage. Our chatting was minimal (which I really appreciate). Still, we were definitely in sync, and communicated on an as-needed basis. He would check in on occasion regarding pressure - if it was good or needed to be stronger or less. He's on-time, and even found parking on a challenging weekend day on my street. Jonathan is friendly and very strong, but has also sensitive touch. He effortlessly lugs his massage table portmanteau to your place, which then unfolds into a comfortable and sturdy person-holder. I like how he brings his own music, plus something that plays a soothing, waterfall-like soundscape. It's all so calming. Touch Brilliance is an outstanding massage therapy experience. Definitely looking forward to making it part of my health and self-care regimen for the New Year. read more

Found Jonathan via Yelp and decided on a chair massage. He's very responsive, reliable, professional, friendly, and I felt like I was in good hands! He got a few knots out & gave me some tips on preventing them in the future at the end of my session. He also had a little case of 10 different essential oil scents, which I thought was neat. He had "Christmas Wreath" as one scent. I went with lavender. :) I booked with 24 hours notice via text and it all went smoothly! read more

Jon is absolutely amazing. Hands down the best massage I've ever gotten. I did a 90-minute session with him ahead of a big boxing competition after weeks of super hard training. I went in super sore and tight, but a couple days after our session I had better mobility and my body felt completely reset. A lot of massage therapists will just run through a set routine, but Jon takes the time to speak with you about any trouble areas, assesses your muscles, and caters the work to suit your specific body needs. He's very professional and provided the perfect mix of relaxing massage, deep-tissue work, and stretching. If you're an athlete looking for a sports massage, Jon's your guy. He's also flexible with scheduling & location, which I appreciated. Will definitely be calling him again for more regular maintenance! read more

Jon was amazing! I sit and stare at the computer a lot and always develop stiff backs and my neck always hurt. Jon knew exactly what to do and I started feeling better as he worked on me. The best part is that he comes to you with his own table. I highly recommend! read more

Jon is absolutely AMAZING!!! I suffer from tight muscles, neck stiffness, & shoulder pain. I have kinks & knots everywhere. From reflexology to high end spas and everything in between, I've been on the hunt for a combination of skill, knowledge & magic hands that are suitable for my body. I've tried chiropractors and Groupons for stretch therapy and myofacial sessions. All with no luck. I was impressed with Jon from our initial phone conversation when I told him about the lower back pain I was experiencing he immediately said it could be related to tight glutes & legs. I knew then he was the real deal. All that needed to be confirmed was his pressure & technique. JON MORE THAN EXCEEDED MY EXPECTATIONS! His pressure can be hard or soft depending on your preference but I also like the fact that he digs in and has you breath through the pain in order to release muscle tension. It hurts like hell but I have better mobility in the following days. I'm so happy that I found Jon. My life long search for a personal massage therapist is over! read more

Jon is an excellent massage therapist with particular skill at finding and treating problem areas. I recommend him highly....particularly for clinical/therapeutic massage. read more

This was really great. I am always skeptical at first with anything so I always wonder, will this person really know what they are doing. Plus it's a male doing the work on me so It's unsettling but I really needed a last min. Therapy because my muscles were all tight and I strained my neck muscle! Jon did great. He set up and the bed was comfortable. He was respectful and accommodating to my small room. He read my muscles and gave the perfect amount of pressure. I am not good with body work and get overly sensitive really quick so it was great to have someone professional make me feel comfortable, heard, and permission to over exaggerate. I am a yelper & this is how I found him! Yelper to yelper your money is well invested in him, he knows what he is doing, he is professional, & he's going to do the work needed for your body! read more

Very very good massage. Probably one of the top 3 ever. I am very picky about massages. I want a clinical and focused sports massage. I hate cookie cutter massages. John was referred to my by a chiropractor. I decided to give him a try. We actually had a discussion when he arrived. Went over my problem areas and areas that tense me up. He suggested a plan for the massage which was to start with my legs since that areas tenses me up. Then he would move to my back. His technique was impressive. He was consistently asking how the pressure was and telling me what he was noticing. I really liked it because it made me feel very comfortable about voicing my opinions about the pressure etc. it was a very technical massage. I got my dad a massage by John as well. My dad said the same thing. I am trying to schedule another during the holidays. I would highly recommend John. Very professional and nice. You really need to get either a 90 or 120 min massage with him. You are selling yourself short otherwise. read more

Jon was amazing! His knowledge and passion for his craft made me feel confident and completely at ease throughout the massage. He was very intuitive, continually checked in on the pressure and my comfort level, and really appreciated him taking it to the next level when he knew I could handle it. I really appreciate the tips and advice on how I can continue to improve my back. Immediately after my massage I booked his services for family members and will continue to highly recommend Touch Brilliance and Jon. read more

Thanks to Jonathan for the amazing massage he gave me last week! I had been incredibly burnt out this year from a combination of managing my kids and a busy work schedule while at home during the pandemic. The massage I got from him was exactly what I needed. He meticulously found all the knots and tight areas on my back and thoroughly worked on them. It was a very focused and effective session. The man has some strong yet gentle hands! For the next couple of days I felt a little sore but was relaxed and slept really well! Definitely looking forward to getting another session in next time I am in town. Thanks again John!! read more

If you are looking for an amazing, professional & relaxing massage , this is it ! Jonathan came to my house on Father's Day as my wife surprised me with a two hour massage . This was hands down the best massage I have had . I have extremely tight muscles from my back to my feet + a lot of knots and Jonathan was able to help relieve a lot of pain in my muscles and back. Jonathan walked me through the different pressures he could apply to make sure I was comfortable. The two hours went by really fast and the next day I was feeling myself again . It's safe to say that we will have Jonathan back real soon for another session. read more

I took a chance and am glad I did. My feet have been in so much pain for over a year and I have tried many ways to reduce the pain and nothing works. Just 1 hour session and I could feel the difference right away. Jonathan did not only ensure to relieve the pain in my feet but also check my arms and my back as well. It's been hours and my body feels so relaxed. He also gives you tips on how to prevent it from happening again. He is very respectful. Highly recommended! read more

We have booked Jonathan twice now to provide chair massages for our staff in our Culver City office for Administrative Professional's Day. He is now part of our yearly tradition. Jonathan is outstanding. He is very thorough and effective. He does just go through the motions and takes time to work on and relieve the problem areas. He's very communicative and responds to your problem areas with just the right pressure. With the stress of living in Los Angeles (astronomical rent, soul-numbing commutes, shockingly bad tinder dates), self-care is critical to keeping your sanity and ensuring you don't have an epic melt-down on your cat, the most stable relationship in your life and whose reliance on you for her survival keeps you up at night (does your cat have any idea how fucked up you are?!). As you can see, I need some xanax or a massage STAT. unfortunately, the last time I took Xanax I ended up drooling on a park bench, so pills are out. Fortunately, I was referred to Jonathan of Touch Brilliance through some people I know and trust. He came to my house and gave me a very thorough one hour massage that melted my stress away and left me blissfully relaxed yet invigorated. The problem I often run into with massage is that people assume I like light pressure because I'm small-statured. Jonathan is both very intuitive and communicative, so the pressure was just the way I prefer it: smooth and firm. As someone who practices quite a bit of yoga, I have the usual knots and tensions in my back, shoulders, and neck from doing down dog and vinyasas so frequently. And my glutes and hamstrings are TIGHT. Jonathan was patient in his initial assessment and worked in all the areas that I mentioned were tight. Best of all, his prices were reasonable, especially for a housecall! I can afford to schedule him regularly without having to brave LA traffic or stress about parking, which is a win-win-win. I'm very experienced when it comes to massage and have had several modalities and venues (Thai massage, acupressure/shiatsu, reflexology, etc) and I know an experienced and nurturing touch when I feel it. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter whether you go to the Ritz Carlton or a strip mall. For me, Jonathan ticks the boxes that are important: Calm energy Easy to schedule Reasonable rates Fast response time Firm touch Convenience Can't recommend enough! read more

Jonathan is amazing! I had open heart surgery 3 weeks ago and my back was hurting so bad. I've only been able to lay in a bed or sit in a chair. My muscle back pain was a 10 out of 10. Jonathan carefully got my neck and back muscles working again and I'm pain free. So happy! read more

Johnathon was amazing! He showed up early, which I was very happy with. He was professional, kept his mask on the entire time, met my needs, and relieved a lot of tension I didn't even know I had. His techniques are amazing and he responds well to what your body is saying. He also explains the problem areas as he works to let you know where there are knots or tension and goes into detail of how these problems can occur. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND TOUCH BRILLIANCE not only because his touch is brilliant, but he allows you to feel so at peace. His foot massages almost put me to sleep! Thank you Johnathon. read more

I have never gotten a massage like the one Jon gave me! Even as a yoga practitioner for a decade (and now instructor), he made me much more aware of the many knots I have in my body. It was eye opening. The massage was intense at times, as he was able to pinpoint the exact locations I have been tight for most of my life. I immediately felt so much lighter after the massage. The next day I was a bit sore, but "functionally sore" like he said, so it actually felt great. It feels like I'm in a new body as I can feel the tight spots I have dealt with for a long time begin to loosen up. I'll definitely have to set up another session soon! Thanks Jon! read more

I have to say, when people wrote "Jon is amazing," i thought is was an exaggeration. But no, seriously, Jon is amazing!! He was very pleasant, super knowledgeable, professional and considerate of my pain tolerance. I will definitely be using his services in the near future again. Thank you, Jon! read more

Excellent massage ! There is a difference between a good massage and a great massage: Passion ! For Jonathan doing massage is not just a job. He is truly passionate by giving massage and helping his patients to reduce their muscular and articulation pain. And you don't need to go anywhere. He comes to your place with a complete massage setup: table, towel, oil. He makes things perfect so you can feel relaxed and comfortable. I was really impressed and so thankful to not have to leave my place and drive through the traffic to get a massage. Jonathan, first, ask you if you have muscular pain, if you want him to spend more time on a particular zone or if you are looking for a specific type of massage. Then during the massage, he checked with me if the level of pressure was too low or too high and adapted the massage in function of my feeling. He was deeply engaged in giving the right massage to me. Jonathan is very calm and kind. He is super professional and really good technically. I would definitively recommend him. read more

Jon was absolutely amazing! This is probably the longest I've ever gone without a massage, so he had his work cut out for him. He came to my house for an outdoor massage in the backyard (first time for me, second time for my husband). He is incredibly meticulous and communicative. The massage is definitely more of a sports massage, and he worked to get out knots in my neck and shoulders. He wore a mask the full time, so it felt like a very safe experience as he seemed to take every precaution. He was very professional and will definitely be calling him again! read more

Jonathan is excellent. I run over 40 miles/week and have a lot of tightness in my lower extremities. He was able to identify the most urgent issues in my legs and provide the much-needed relief I was looking for. Most of my pain was in my calves and feet and while he was massaging them, he let me know that if he stripped the muscle - with some trigger pressure and stretching - it would hurt at first, but it would aid in the recovery. Boy did it hurt so good! I'm sitting here about 1-1/2 hour after the massage, and I still feel my calves, feet, and knees continue to decompress. Thank you so much. I will be a repeat customer. Highly recommend for everyone across the spectrum - whether it be for relaxation or pain management, he's your guy! read more
