I was freelancing and didn't have insurance for a while and then got a new job and was extremely busy, so it had been 5 years since I had gone for my annual exam. Dr. Macey said, "The last time I saw you, your hair was longer and darker". He was absolutely right!!!! HOW COULD HE EVEN REMEMBER THAT WITH ALL THE PEOPLE HE SEES EACH DAY????!!! I LOVE Dr. Macey and his nurse Lori. When I go to them I feel like a real human and not part of a cattle call. They are very thorough and you can ask them anything without feeling embarrassed... but you probably wont have to ask anything, because they will tell you every scenario of anything you could think of before you even have to. I would never go to anyone else... if I had to move to Australia, I would fly back to Nashville once a year to see Dr. Macey. My daughter is grown now and goes to Dr. Macey. When she goes in, they ask about me and told her that I really needed to get in there. When I told Dr. Macey that I bet he will be delivering my grandchildren in the next few years, he tilted his head and said in a humble sincere voice, "Oh, I really hope I do". Of course he will!!! My daughter loves them too!! Thank you Dr. Macey & RN Lori!!!!

I made an…read moreappointment on their website about a month in advance, and was able to verify that they accepted my insurance as well. New patients start out with their WHNPs rather than with an MD, which makes total sense to me. There are detailed bios and availability calendars online for all of their providers. If you've never been to this office before, parking can be a bit tricky to figure out. There's a garage for patients off of 20th Ave., and the easiest way to find the entrance is to turn right on State St. and then left into the garage. After parking, you'll want to take the elevator to the second floor walkway over to the medical building, and then follow the signs in there to another elevator and take that up to the fifth floor. It sounds more complicated than it is, and it's easy to remember after you do it once. The office waiting room is beautiful, with lots of natural light, plenty of seating, and a gorgeous view of the Nashville skyline. There were dozens of women waiting for appointments, but the check-in process is all done online through a QR code, making it super quick and easy. Their team is efficient - and it makes sense why they can see so many women in one day! I saw Elizabeth Napier (Lizzie) and have nothing but wonderful things to say about my appointment. To any women who are putting off their well women exam because they don't know where to go ... this is the place!

Do not recommend…read more This is the first time in my life I have ever written a review. I made this Yelp account to write this review. I don't know if I am doing this correctly, but I would honestly advise against using Sterling. I made an appointment months in advance because I was struggling with depression and wanted to pursue getting antidepressant medication in addition to diet, exercise, and therapy. I confirmed my appointment two days in advance, signed my forms digitally, and was glad about getting help for my condition. They responded to my confirmation with an additional message, so my confirmation was confirmed. Thirty minutes before my appointment, they let me know it had been cancelled. I called the office to ask why, and perhaps reschedule. I get it. Sometimes physicians get sick or have a family emergency. That would have been totally okay and I could have done the appointment another time. The receptionist pretty rudely informed me that my would-be psychiatrist quit a month ago, and that she was no longer with Sterling. I told her that was a bit confusing for me as the patient, because they still confirmed my appointment. She responded to this negatively as well, and when I asked about scheduling with another physician, she said that would be not likely or not possible because Sterling only has one psychiatrist and he is far too booked up. I really needed help with my depression, and I wish that Sterling hadn't given me what was basically a fake appointment. I also wish they weren't so rude when I was following up looking for care. If I had known my physician quit, or that the appointment wasn't happening, I could have gotten treatment somewhere else. Now, I am still in need of medical advice regarding my depression, but I'll likely have to wait a few more weeks to get advice somewhere else while my condition worsens. I can't speak for every physician or every patient experience, and I am sure that Sterling has some great physicians and patients with great experiences. However, my experience was pretty bad. My advice would be to either get psychiatric care somewhere else, or to pick up the phone and call to confirm appointments, because they'll apparently mislead you about availability and confirmation through both text and email. Thanks.

My problem is that every time you go you are waiting for at least 90-120 minutes to be seen after your appointment time. The first visit was 90 minutes late, but as a new patient and given the fact that her bedside manner is tremendous i thought it fluke. Many third visit back today, it was 120 minutes and i went to ask how much longer they told me another 30 minutes. Advice: the providers are WONDERFUL. The time management is not so great (healthcare bureaucracy). If you have a full day off --- do yourself a book an appointment. If you took time off work... don't bother and find another group.

One star is generous…read more This office has some of the worst patient communication and customer service I have ever experienced in a medical setting. Today, I spent TWO HOURS trying to reach someone. No answer. No callback. Nothing. When I finally got through, I was told there were "no providers" available to help me. I questioned that because this is a large OB/GYN practice. Suddenly, after the front desk spoke with the medical director, the story changed: there actually WERE providers there -- they were just fully booked. So after wasting two hours trying to get help from my own OB's office, I asked if someone could squeeze me in. Their solution? Go to the ER. What exactly is the purpose of having an OB/GYN if your own office is completely inaccessible when you actually need medical care? And this is not a one-time issue. At my previous appointment, I sat in their office for TWO HOURS because the provider I was scheduled with had called in sick. No one bothered to call me beforehand. No one apparently thought my time was valuable enough to notify me before I showed up and sat there waiting. There is a staggering level of disorganization and indifference at this practice. I understand that doctors get busy. I understand that schedules fill up. I understand that providers sometimes call in sick. What I do NOT understand is an office that repeatedly fails to communicate with patients, leaves them trying to get through for hours, gives conflicting information, wastes hours of their time, and then essentially tells them to go somewhere else when they need help. Patients should not have to fight this hard just to get basic communication from their own doctor's office. If you value responsiveness, organization, respect for your time, or having any confidence that someone will actually help you when you need care, I would strongly recommend finding another practice. Based on my experiences here, this office seems far more concerned with managing its schedule than taking care of the patients on it.

No one ever answered the phone for billing. I was not called back. Until 70 days later. MORE: They were basically unreachable. Glad I wasn't pregnant or in need of actual care! I eventually bartered the bill down after being sent a letter for collections and talked down to by the manager. It has now been 4 months since I first set the appointment. I'm out the cost of the bill and multiple hours of my time. I still haven't had my annual exam and I still don't have a Gynecologist! I have to start all over bc this office tells people they are in network when they aren't and then doesn't fix the problem. I hope this saves someone the complete BS I went through.
