I'm really starting to love this location, It's huge! Such a great selection of delights and they have a tasting counter and mixology classes! I cannot wait to get to a class here. Staff is nice and deals are awesome!

The Emeryville Total Wine is a huge location, just make sure to bring your ID if you're purchasing alcohol. There is plenty of parking available and the store is super clean. Prices are comparable to Bevmo. The staff or manager who explained the tasting experience was very friendly and welcoming. We had trouble finding a specific liquor but the staff explained it with detail and made sure we were able to locate it.

Total Wine & More in Emeryville offers an exceptional wine tasting experience with a vast selection of wines and spirits. I recently attended a fun wine tasting class with a group of girlfriends, recommended by a friend. We chose the Vive La France wine tasting class, where we delved into the world of French wine, exploring its regions, unique characteristics, and perfect pairings. Our instructor was incredibly knowledgeable, shedding light on the significance of wine slopes and soils. We were introduced to some fantastic wines during the class and even received a coupon to purchase them afterward, which I did. This class is perfect for date nights, group gatherings, or solo adventures for wine enthusiasts eager to expand their knowledge. They also offer other wine classes focusing on different regions worldwide. I highly recommend Total Wine & More for its exceptional staff, accommodating nature, and ability to help you find the perfect wine or spirit for any occasion.

I'm new to total wine, so having one move into my neighborhood came along with a little bit of hype. Safe to say, it lived up to the hype, and even exceeded any expectations I might have had for a wine and beverage merchant. Their selection is vast, you can find nearly any wine or spirit from around the world. Their beer selection is top notch, they offer cigars, and even wine tasting courses at an excellent value. If you're looking to get educated on regional varietals, their in-house sommelier Tony is super knowledgeable, and their classes are really fun. All in all, a great place to shop for any adult beverage needs.

Total Wines is my go to store for wine, spirits and beer. The nearest location for me were in Pleasanton and San Ramon. It was exciting to hear that a new store had opened at the East Bay Bridge shopping center in Emeryville at the former Decathlon and Toys R Us location. To make local area residents aware of this new location, they sent discount flyers with various discount amounts. I took advantage of the $100 off a $250 purchase and picked up some nice bottles of cabernet sauvignons. Workers are friendly and asking if you need any assistance. I am a fan of Total Wines with prices comparable or better than the warehouse store and better than the other big box competitor. I am happy that a location is a lot closer to me.

Every beer I looked at had old brew dates - the freshest being January 2025. Again, we're in August of 2025. I took a picture of one Fort Point beer - March of 2024 (see my screenshot). This is not remotely acceptable. And that does it for me and Bevmo. There are lots of options out there to get good beer - you'd think Bevmo would stop selling this super old stuff - but they won't. It appears all Bevmos sell old beer. Count me out. That's the last time I ever step foot in a Bevmo. Also note - people do not need to be greeted when they walk in. For the life of me I do not understand why Bevmo thinks people like this. The person stops what they're doing a the register to yell "Welcome, hello!" to everyone who walks in. This isn't Blockbuster. It's a liquor store. Let people walk in and mind their own business without being accosted when they walk in (and walk out - "Bye, have a great day!"). And bye to you, Bevmo. (and note, the "Customer service" bot will respond with the stock response "we're sorry to hear about your service, please email us at blah blah blah..." And what happens when you email them? Nothing, outside getting put on a spam list. Avoid this dump) update edit: And the customer service bot responded exactly like I said. How is this place even still open?

I don't consider myself a beer connoisseur, but I like trying different beers and ciders so this place was right up my alley. I had a friend visiting Berkeley from out of town so we came here to hang out and catch up. One thing that stood out to me is this place, because it's a taproom and not a brewery, is open later than the other beer places in the East Bay. Many choices of beer and cider on tap. I tried the ginger peppercorn cider and it was very unique, I've never had a cider like this flavor, it's almost like a cross between ginger beer and cider. My friends enjoyed various beers on tap. The place is pretty small but very clean and cute. I like that you can choose from 10 oz or 16 oz pour, so people like me can try more varieties in smaller portion than just drinking one boring thing. I like variety. The all you can eat popcorn was a hit with our little group. The truffle flavor really elevates the popcorn and it goes well with beer! There's so much free parking in this area at night... super convenient... although it scared me for a minute when I couldn't find my car in the very empty street lot, before I realized I was another block farther down. This area of Berkeley feels pretty safe at night even at 11pm. Good place. I would definitely go again!

Made a reservation on Yelp but there were plenty of tables on a Sunday evening. Greeted warmly by our server and we could choose any table we wanted. Settled in at a two-top under some heaters and checked out the menu. A little bit of everything on the menu from ribs to burgers and pizzas. Large drink menu and full bar as well. We ordered a mocktail, glass of wine (Rhone blend), deviled eggs, ribs and steak frites. The Rhone blend was a very generous pour and my husband enjoyed his NA cocktail. Deviled eggs were the best bite of the night. Ribs were a little tough for me but I enjoyed my steak (it was a tad overcooked- I asked for medium and half was medium and half was medium well). Frites were just okay. The macaroni salad that came with the ribs was great! We agreed that the price point here is a bit high for the area and didn't really match the vibe/presentation. There are TV's in the dining room for example so if they are going for a special occasion sort of place (with prices to match) it sort of didn't quite fit. The presentation on the entrees could also use some finesse (especially when compared to the flawless presentation of the appetizer). Service was perfect-our server checked on us and offered some menu recommendations. The space itself is also beautiful and feels special. I think we will be back to try some other menu items. A more focused menu and slightly lower price point would make this a 10/10.

We went out of our way to go to Honor, since they have one of the only remaining prime rib Mondays in the East Bay. Both of us ordered medium rare, Standard Cut. They came out cold to the touch, like they'd been in the fridge (or freezer?) and put onto a sterno. Maybe put into an oven for a few minutes, but no one checked the temperature. I timidly asked if they could please fix it. I have never made an obnoxious request like that before, and wanted to blow my head off for even asking. But I asked anyway, because this is my family we are talking about, and I was also insanely starving at that point. When they brought the plates back, they were scalding hot with steaming mashed potatoes turning into mush, but the prime rib was barely warm. I guess the microwave was set to 10. I ordered a second drink and waited for my wife to resent me. I am so fucking sad, and so hungry. The creamed spinach was disgusting, like a wad of cold cheese dumped onto a Popeyes-style can of greens. I took my almost-fully-intact piece of meat home to see if I can possibly salvage it, so an animal didn't die for fucking nothing. I'll probably throw it away tomorrow. My son's burger somehow came without cheese despite him asking for cheese. They took his plate away, and they put cheese on his burger and reheated it, but returned his plate with ice-cold fries. What are we doing here. Did I do something wrong? I hate this place with my whole heart. Server was nice. Not her fault. I would rather die than come back here again. We have had a rough week and we hoped this night out would help, but instead my wife is in bed and I'm sitting here on the couch waiting for a food delivery so I have something in my stomach before my youngest kid wakes up again. Let the grave swallow me now.

We found it very tasty, but paying over $25 for this on DoorDash--certainly not worth the price even though we really enjoyed it. The spicy chicken parm sandwiches were not good. The chicken breast was flabby, and came across like it was one of those frozen cooked Tyson jobs. I would be very surprised if they actually breaded chicken breast, fried it, and made the sandwich with that. It was mushy, and the breading was like paste on the chicken. Pretty awful. They charge extra for sauce, which is a little much, given that we paid $21 for each sandwich. But we figured out pretty quickly why they do this: there was hardly any sauce on the sandwiches. And precious little cheese. We each ate half of our sandwich and figured we doctor the leftovers up the next day with a jar of Rao's and a bag of shredded Italian cheese. That helped, but nothing could save that chicken. The meatballs. We paid $15 for four, and we had high hopes, but they were so mushy that they fell apart in the sauce, and I couldn't tell what was sauce and what was meatballs. The only flavor that came across was fennel. Why any meatball should be so fennel-forward strikes me as bizarre. We got what we thought were pretty basic things, and they were fails. If an Italian place can't make a decent chicken parm sandwich nor a decent meatball, that says something. If you go, try the pinsa.
