I just had a bad experience with the cashier with the long white grey hair at the total wine in doral. He rudely asked my mom, aunt and I for our IDs. My aunt was the one buying a bottle being an adult over 40 asked for her ID and regardless if her proving her ID insisted for my mother being the oldest to pay for the bottle. Didnt even ID the young couple paying in front of us. Location must train employess so they can provide better customer service. Unbelievable. read more

Total Wines & more is the one and only place to go for alcoholic drinks. Everything you truly need is there, and if it's not there, would you really want it? They have the best French, Spanish, and Italian wines. They have the best North American and South American. Overall, they have the best wines from around the world. But it is not only wine they sell. Their whiskey, rum, and many other beverages are only top line. In my most frequent visit I bought Campari for some negronis, Alperol for some spritz, and crème de Cassis to mix in with some of my white wines. read more

We frequently visit, especially on Thursday evenings for the classes regarding tastings. We love attending these classes and they have become a weekly ritual for us. Some of the staff members even know us by our names it is a true delight they greet us, with kindness every time. The wine connoisseur Ashley Castro is who presents the classes at this location. I walked in this store with my daughter I was helped and everything once I got to the register this scarecrow asked me for my ID & then requested my daughter to give him her ID when asked why does she need to I was told oh "you might be buying liquor for minors ". WHAT?! Then I was told "oh if you buy liquor and something may happen we are liable "... How? ATP they was racial profiling because I never got this treatment at any Total Wine. Total Wine Singular Sensations Scotch Tasting Class We went with a group of friends for the tasting. I was pleasantly surprised to see that we had 8 or more tastings. It was well worth the $20 price tag. They also provided sliders and chips prior to the tasting. This was a nice touch - it's probably so the customers don't leave blitzed after the tasting. The instructors made everything short and to the point, and there was audience participation which made it more interesting. I would attend another one of these events. read more

Quaint TW with lots of parking. It is in a mall area and seemed to be the biggest retail attraction. The ambiance is very sleek and minimized compared to other larger locations but they're BIG on Service and had great selections. We went to purchase Champagne for a Birthday gift and they had a Box set within our budget and perfect for the occasion, along with plastic Flutes so we didn't have to go to another store. They had a VERY GOOD standard Tequila Tasting: Suavecito, which was informative and delicious, especially the Blanco, Reposado and Extra Anejo. It was also poured by a resident native of Jalisco. She was very friendly, provided great tequila information and fun. Overall, a good location to visit. read more

Total Wine is only good for wine and spirits. The beer section at every single Total Wine is overpriced and primarily old. I drink all kinds of beers, but I really enjoy IPA's and everything on their shelves is old. They just opened and I was excited because they will have fresh cans. Nope. I was wrong. I was looking at the dates on the cans and a smug associate said, "don't worry they are fresh since we just opened." I said, how is an average of 2-3 months old fresh? She walked away. read more

I've been coming here for years since I live pretty close to the store. Never had an issue with any of its policy to show ID at the cash register or people checking up on me around the store as I really love the place and tends to be my go to even though there an ABC liquor store close to me I still make the 7min drive to come to this store. Well I just wanted to get two bottle of wine nothing too crazy when I was stopped at the front door by a man that seem to be serving complementary whisky (I believe as I was not really able to see too well what he was handing out) to customers, I had already been to this place as I stated before so to my knowledge this things were optional, therefore, my immediate reaction to this person calling me is to just keep walking as I did not want any of his optional complementary services at all. However, my intention of coming in for a quick bottle of wine was completely ruined as the this person probably unaware of his own policy stopped me because he stated that for me to even walk in to the store I needed to show ID (something that was new to me on my 30th times to this store). I continue to ask the man if it was really nesessary for me to do this as I've been here before and I've not gone through this, the man adamant to show him my ID continued to state that I'm required to show ID before coming into the store. I gave this man the ID for him to just grab them and flash the ID on the camera for the entrance. I've never felt more of a criminal than this moment in front of the customers that he was assisting with complementary drinks. I'm sorry but I've never been treated like this before in this store not sure if this person was new or something but I hope that this is not a norm when it comes to training those whose are used to pass out complementary drinks as I've always been welcomed with a nice warm smile and an opportunity to try something new that the store may have for the season but respectfully asked for ID before trying, and not before I even step foot in the store I been to and this point way too often. At this point 7min do not seem to bad when it comes to better customer service. P.S. the girl at the cash registered was great offered all services and also reminded me that I have an account for point. Something that I almost forgot through my confrontation with the Free sample person. read more

So happy to finally have Total Wine in our neighborhood. It's a large store with an awesome variety of wines and spirits from all over the world and for every price range. The staff are all very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. The tasting station is great; there's always a few selections of wines to try out, as well as a handful of specialty spirits. The store is immaculately clean throughout, very well organized, and the shelves are stocked. There's also a special wine tasting room that will be used for wine tasting classes... I'll definitely sign up as soon as they're launched. read more

Manager Max Vidal did his utmost to give me assistance on an order I made a few months ago which was stuck in customs. The invoice was with the order and I had no record or information to supply him. After 45 minutes of trying every angle he was able to find it and I was able to get my order released. Terrible experience here! I wanted to buy some things for my birthday weekend. Walked in with my wife & sister in law & I began grabbing things. My sister in-law is 20, my wife is 26 and I am 25. As we walk to the register to purchase the items, we were asked to ALL show an ID. My wife and I with no hesitation showed ours as my sister in- law stood aside to allow us begin our purchase. The cashier said everyone had to be 21 in order to compete our purchase, she said she had to ask her manager before allowing us to pay (being that my sister in law wasn't able to show her ID) but mentioned that it shouldn't be an issue. The store manager Ryan came up to us and immediately told us we weren't allowed to buy the items because we were seen on cameras walking around the store with a minor. We made sure to let him know that I was buying the items. My wife whom is also over 21 was also able to buy the items as well. We found that a bit odd. (We checked online for that policy but we could not find it.) My wife then asked if my sister in-law needed to step out and he still refused to let us complete our purchase. I guarantee my sister in law did not even touch a bottle or any type of liquor, she just helped us by grabbing a box of canned soda. Ryan then told us we couldn't shop there for the rest of the day, and that we had to wait until the next day to come back to complete the purchase? We were more than willing to show our ID's. i usually go once a month and their selections are great. They also have a good assortment of Cigars. My only complaint has been that the cashiers never say hello or thank you for your purchase, But today they broke the mold. Our Cashier "Leslie". Was exceptional. She was helpful Friendly and smiled. The staff/SWAT team followed me around the store eyeballing me like I was a criminal. I usually don't shop at Total Wine because they don't have one in my town, but I will stop in when I run across one when traveling for work. Enough so to maintain a Grand Reserve status. I was intending to buy several bottles of rare Red Burgundy that I have trouble tracking down. However, I have never been more uncomfortable in a retail store and chose to pass. Not before one of the night stalkers asked me for the millionth time if I needed help and stared me down. I guess it was unclear when I responded "no" as he proceeded to try to speak the most busted up Spanish I have heard. Not sure where he got this cue as I am the whitest dude from South Dakota that has probably ever visited Miami. This place is a joke. read more

hands down the worst total wine I have gone to yet and is also the one located in doral. Since thanksgiving is tomorrow I was planing to buy some wines for the family with my girlfriend since she has worked as a server before and knows about wines, so I got some and when I was about to pay, mind you I'm the one buying not my girl friend, the cashier asks me for my ID everything is fine but then she asks her for her ID but she didn't bring it, before we came to this total wine she was supposed to buy the groceries but since she forgot her purse at home, I was the one who had to pay, needless to say I was not happy about that and now this cashier is telling me I have to wait for a manager to see if they let me pay and it took about 10 to 15 minutes for the manager to come which was adding more fuel to the fire for how long she took, and to top it off she said she wasn't going to sell me the wine because my girlfriend didn't have her ID, I'm going to be 30 next year and that is disrespectful. So based on their logic if a dad or mother brings a daughter or son thats over 21 years old to buy wine from total wine and the daughter or son forgets their ID "which is not uncommon" they will decide not to sell it to them, with all due respect this logic is pretty stupid, about the same if their is a group of 5 people are at a restaurant and someone forgets their ID even though she or he is over the age of 21 all of the other 4 can't drink because he/she didn't bring the ID, honestly that is laughable. So after I left I went to the total wine in kendall which took me about 30 minutes to drive there, and I bought half the bottles I was planing to buy without a problem. I'm very dissapointed with total wine located in doral, so I would advise other people to go to other total wine and not go there, and above all go alone because even if your a parent you might leave empty handed and it doesn't matter if your kid is over 21 or not if they forgot to bring their ID, Total wine doral will not sell, based on their logic even if your 50 years old. read more
