Yes, the line was long, but it was extremely organized. Employees were stationed throughout the store to direct customers, organize the line, and guide people to open registers. Everything moved efficiently despite how busy it was. On top of that, the staff was very helpful when we needed help locating specific drinks. Prices are great! Cheaper than most other stores and great collection. Lost point because organization. I look for items online first and then verify they have it in store. Repeatedly I've gone to location and it's not there. I double check website to make sure I'm at the correct location and that I selected only items that are available for pickup. Still no luck! I walk around and it's not even an item on display or in a promotional area. I'm never too mad because it does get me an opportunity to wonder and see something new but it's still annoying if I wanted to do a quick in and out. read more

Not only do they recommend different bottles according to your taste, preference, and budget, they are also very knowledgeable. Today we had a disappointing situation with the local Total Wine Store. We had purchased two bottles of 2019 BV Georges Latour online and we went to pick them up. At the time, I ordered them, I remember thinking that I would have to check to make sure that they sold us the correct vintage. Lately, they seem to offer more recent vintages and don't even bother to notify us of the change. Well, today it happened AGAIN. The odd thing is that the sale person insisted that the 2020 bottle was a 2019 even though the label said 2020. The bottle had been incorrectly been entered into their system. It is my opinion that they need to examine their policies and notify their customers in advance before making a substitution in vintage. read more

We came here for a wine tasting class and we were thrilled! Steve led the class and did a fabulous job of explaining the French wines and the regions they are from! There was no hard push to buy any of the wines which was lovely. Of course, people did buy wines and Steve gave some coupons out to encourage people to buy a few items. This place is huge! Definitely perfect for any kind of wine ... they even hold periodic wine tastings inside the shop. And they have quite decent prices for all ranges. They have the wines sorted by types and countries. And wines take up about half the store. But the "more" part is quite big an area, as well. All sorts of different beverages -- again sorted by type (gin, vodka, rum, whiskey, cordials), etc etc. And then along one side are all the beers -- cases and cans. Familiar names. And imported and different ones you may not have heard of. By the registers upfront are several displays with miniatures -- which is a perfect way to try something new without the expense. Or for when you need something (or want something), but not a whole bottles worth. In fact, I'm not much of a drinker of anything alcoholic, but have bought the tiny bottles when using rum in a recipe. And I've come here when I've needed a nice housewarming or Christmas gift. Even though it wasn't something I was planning to do, I thought "What the hell" let me stop in and take a look around. Upon entry I was really impressed with Total Wine. As expected, they have an amazing selection of liquors and wines. It's really something. Anything you can think of is there from cheapies all the way up to the exotic and rare. Also got to try a few samples as I was perusing which was nice! The staff was super friendly and pleasant and maintained that friendly and pleasant demeanor even after I pestered them with a few questions about Japanese Whiskey. I really like this place! I've been here many times over the years and never once had a bad experience. Recently, I bought a kegerator and have been ordering 1/6 kegs from here. Descent selection, but more importantly, they will order you kegs that are not in stock and really doesn't take long. I called up and ordered a keg on a Friday and it came in that next Wednesday. Pretty good response time to me. This store's associates are also helpful from "Heather" who stopped what she was doing to get my keg to the manager who worked out my $5 reward code at the register. I would like to see a wider selection online and even some tastings of kegs in the store cause 1/6 keg is about $100 and if you're not sure of the brand, you're not going to pay that much without knowing the taste. We went to Total Wines for a chocolate and wine tasting with friends and fellow yelpers. It was fun and the pairing of wines and chocolates were wonderful. My favorite was the G. Vesselle Perfection Rose Champagne from France. fresh, fruity and elegant paired well with Godiva chocolate. The speaker was very knowledgeable but a little boring, and you had to ask to revisit a wine. Everyone received a coupon so of course we bought the Champagne. I love the prices here compared to places like Publix or Target, and how insanely close this store is to where I live. But I just recently turned 21 and went here to get a few things to start me off, so I go to check out and am questioned by the cashier. I'm guessing because my ID is vertical since I haven't gotten a new one yet. The cashier was rude and cold, made it seem like I was an inconvenience, and made me stand to the side to help other customers while I waited for the manager to come and validate my ID, even though he scanned it and it approved. Wines of all kinds are on one side, hard liquor, mixes, craft beers and other types on the other side. Small sample bottles in the front. There are also accessories and some snacks here. You can mix and match bottles which is nice but it gets a lil addicting lol. The staff has always been very friendly and helpful... They know their stuff. You can ask for recommendations, they'll ask what your preferences are and make suggestions. I stopped in at Total Wine to, wait for it, buy a bottle of wine. A number of years ago I took a trip to South Africa and bought a bottle of wine from a vineyard called Rickety Bridge that I visited and it was great. I wanted to see if Total Wine had it. I stopped one of their employees and he said they didn't have any bottles from that particular vineyard but they might have something similar. Of course, I didn't remember the exact name of the wine but he was able to figure it out just by asking me questions. It was a Chenin Blanc (no idea how he could know this). So he pulled out a bottle of Chenin Blanc from another vineyard in South Africa called Spier which he said would be pretty close. I also happened to have visited that vineyard in South Africa. Needless to say, I was extremely impressed by this level of knowledge and service. Oh, while I was at Total Wine, they also had free wine and beer tastings going on. I tried a local beer called Wizard Wit from Barrel of Monk Brewing and it was delicious. I ended up buying some of that too. As a result, I have no choice but to give this Total Wine location a 5 out of 5 stars. It was Christmas Eve, and the store was hopping. A large sign, "pick ups," directed me to the right place, where I met Brandon. He made things so easy, I got my Christmas spirit back!
