The staff here is so friendly, and service is top notch. Plenty of parking too! Prices are good. They actually carried an IPA wasn't expecting which was the Civil Society "Fresh IPA". Which by the way excellent beer. read more

I have been to several Crown Liquors in South Florida but the Boca Raton store is the most spacious and beautifully set up. The variety of wines are the largest I've seen in any of their stores and it is fun to browse here to find wines I never see in some of the other wine stores. I have been to several wine tastings here and because of the space in this store I never feel cramped in the isles at the multi distributor tastings where they sample several wines from different vineyards. I've found some I've never tasted which I ended up buying. Crown does a great job accompanying the tastings with plenty of food, bread, cheeses and jams that go with the wines. Along with the large tastings, they offer specific winery tastings where a winery will come down from Napa Valley or other wine regions and set up an organized sit down tasting with cheeses and crackers to pair with the wines. The representatives from the winery put on presentations about the history and what goes into their production as we taste all the wines one at a time with the background of that wine. Crown offers wine tasting discounts on any bottles purchased from the wine tastings at a pretty good savings. Last night I went with some friends to a fabulous tasting from ZD Winery out of Rutherford in Napa. Crown set up tables comfortably in front of the presentation area with plates of cheeses already put out for us to pair with the wines. Best way to get to know what tastings are coming up is to get on their email list. They will send out notices and tickets can be bought in advance. Crown Liquors also has an award point program that gives points for all purchases to go for future discounts on wine and liquor. Speaking of Liquor, Crown has a very large variety of different brands of spirits. Quite the variety of Vodkas, Rum and Tequila. I am planning on attending more of these small vineyard tastings because smaller productions usually yield better flavors and Crown always picks some great ones to do tastings. A solid spot, no matter what you need. I live in the area, so yeah I'm probably a little biased. But I have options, and Crown wine is one of the best options in East Boca. I was in the other day looking for a Bourbon for a picky client. I couldn't find it right away but the cashier saw me wandering and came over and helped. It wasn't the best price ever, but I was happy that they carried it. They always seem to have what I'm looking for. That includes bites. I have stopped in before heading to a party or get together a couple times, and was able to grab some cheeses or other bites all in one stop. The best part of this Crown wine I haven't mentioned though. The tastings. A couple friends invited me to the first one I was at here, a scotch tasting. It was just a couple bucks, and was great. We tasted our way around Scotland. I was back for a 2nd one, and it was different whiskeys, with a different pitch. So in short, come for the bottle you are looking for, and come back for one of the amazing tastings they have. read more

I was trying to track down a certain cigar for a Christmas gift. I called two other places and they didn't have what I was looking for. I figured I would try Crown since they have such a solid reputation. Mark acknowledged me & he answered a quick question or two but that's about all he did. Helpful he was not. Maybe he was having a bad day, who knows. He was dismissive and I was ready to wrap up my holiday shopping with a few bottles and cigars. He clearly didn't want my business because he made no effort to assist me. I asked about gift sets which are popular around the holidays and he told me to buy a bottle and stick it in a gift bag. Not the right answer and in my opinion he was grouchy. His loss was someone else's gain because ABC went out of their way to help me. Let me tell you that my experiences at these two stores were like night and day. I found great gift sets, a nice bottle of wine, a few bottles of liquor, gift bags & cigars. I gave Crown the opportunity first, they dropped the ball & ABC got the sale. My experience at Crown was not pleasant. Would I go back? Not in a million years. Actually lets make that a trillion years. I am not comfortable recommending Crown based upon my own experience. However, I do feel comfortable recommending ABC, just down the street. read more

This is probably the best Crown location I have been to. Best staff, best service, best selection and well put together events.

Excellent customer service every time I am in the store. Always a greeting and familiar with any products we have always needed for our parties. I like coming here for the welcoming vibes and the selection. Its also close to the house and not overly crowded so you can browse the store for all the extra meats cheeses and specialty products they have if looking for hors devours and or cheese board. read more

Big fan of their wine tastings. They host great events with a large variety of wines both red and white to sample. They offer different vendors to try a variety of cheeses, meats, rubs, and more. They have a great deli section, and a respectable array of different bourbons. The staff there are well versed. I went there one time to grab a bottle of bourbon and was talked into purchasing a bottle of Afrohead 15-year aged rum that is phenomenal. Needless to say, I'm a fan, and have been of Crown in general for over 14 years. read more

Crown Liquors overall is good as a chain. Only telling this experience because I manage retail stores and was caught off guard. Like everyone else, it's been a tough week with Hurricane etc. I run in at 9:50 to grab a small bottle of Whiskey and go. As I walk in one of the guys behind the counter looks up, and with a "hey you" attitude says "10min" and goes back to laughing with coworker. Pretty sure that's not in the employee manual. I then ask if they have ice, which I get a quick No, again with a chuckle. As I'm paying I look down and see small packs of large ice cube for cocktails next to the counter. I ask about them, and get a "oh yeah, I guess that's ice"? Thanks guys for the help lol. read more

I see from the reviews that they are either big or go home. For me, they are a bit in the lower middle range. They had lukewarm service, but also old man 70s hardware store attitude when I wanted certain bourbons and wines. Owner or whomever it was was "you see it in front of you, huh?" Actually, no, I wanted P Noirs, and he pointed to Cabs. Very Trump Country guy. Also, no one knew what Boudreaux's meant. Honestly, they liquor guys at the 5th Ave Publix next door were much more friendly and helpful. To be very honest and fair, they had a great cheese selection and the young guy behind the register was very nice about asking if all was good, but honestly it wasn't. I refuse to buy my champagne and liquor anywhere else! I don't buy wine often so I can't comment on that, But they always have a great selection of high end champagne, branded gift packaging with most bottles, and the employees are absolutely phenomenal! Chris is so helpful, he always gives his honest input on quality/taste of the bottle and provides an overall first class experience. If I tell him it's a personal bottle, he'll let me know if there's a special bottle on sale in the price range I typically buy. If I tell him it's a gift he helps me find the most bang for my buck and the bottle that would be most appreciated depending on who I am giving it to. They have a huge selection of liquor, they always have my 1942! Highly recommend signing up for their rewards, it pays off read more
