Some of the improvements being made at the club are transformative and it is starting to look "resort-like". I love the shore, and still find time to go during the summer, but the convenience of spending a few hours after work lounging by the pool is a great stress reliever. Once the pool opens, it becomes the focal point of our summer. I can't wait!!

Class sizes have ranged from 13-25 for all that I've tried, Boot Camp, Zumba and Piloxing.

We walked up to the fence which was weedy and trash shrewn. I looked back and noticed the building. A short man with a beard wearing a baseball uniform was walking toward us. I had the pup back in the truck when he came up to me and started complaining about the dog. "Well i apprecaite that you didnt walk him on the field." Why would i? I thought. He proceeded to tell me he was "taken aback" by me letting the dog out to go. I wonder. If someone is willing to walk 100 yards in 90 degree heat. How thin skinned must they be. And honestly whats he like with kids that attend events. I am pretty sure people walking their dogs along that road do likewise. I imagine if he is that quick to anger over a dog. He must be a real ass to others as well

The bad - level of cleanliness has fallen drastically. Pool sides are filthy. The vents in the ceiling are so filthy they have turned black. The locker room floor hasn't been scrubbed in months. Almost never a wait to find a bench or machine to hit the movement you're looking for. Cons - (Mild complaint) the free weights are never put back in their designated spots at the end of the day. Saturday mornings are extremely busy b/c they open at 8am as opposed to their weekday opening at 5am. If you're a morning lifter it's best to avoid this log jam. One free weight bench has been out of commission for over a week. Again - these are minor complaints. Overall - I've been a member of all types of gyms. The small ones have charm and great people but the lack of equipment is just not conducive to achieving a great workout. If you're in to taking classes with a tight nit group, then I'd suggest a small gym. If you're goal is to weight train then a larger gym with lots of options is the way to go. This is one of the best large gyms in the area. Four stars from me as of 6/16/17

Of course, then I remember that I stunk at roller skating and spent most of my time holding onto the wall or picking myself up after falling on my butt again. Unfortunately, not as many kids want to fall on their butt for hours at a time while skating in a circle so Skater's Choice - as it used to be known - had to evolve. It is now called Choice Inline Arena. The space that used to be the roller rink now houses a basketball/futsal court on one end and the home of Jersey Pride Cheer and Tumble on the other end. Sharing the entrance is what is called Court 3 - which is a full-sized roller hockey rink complete with locker rooms and everything. In the last few years, I have only visited this facility to watch my kids play futsal. It is the home of South Jersey Futsal - which is run by Don D'Ambra. Don D'Ambra is a Philly guy who played soccer at St. Joes and later was the player/coach for the Philadelphia Kixx. He is currently head coach at St. Joes. For those that don't know - futsal is a type of soccer that is played 5v5 with a smaller ball that is 30% heavier than a regular soccer ball to limit bouncing. It is a fast paced and fun winter game that is played on a court the size of a basketball court. The facility is fine for futsal - although the amenities are a little lacking. The roof ocassionally leaks when there is a lot of ice, rain, or condensation. There is limited seating courtside that is only accessible through a very narrow walkway that may or may not be handicapped accessible. The snack bar is limited and the bathrooms serve double duty as the locker rooms for the roller hockey rink and are as smelly as you might imagine. The parking is very limited and you may need to park in the lot next door. It is great to have facilities like this available for our kids to pursue the sports they love. Come here with the appropriate expectations and you will be OK - but I guarantee your kids will be tired and happy and that is the more important thing.
