As a woman with limited knowledge, I wanted to be sure not to overpay, so I called a few places and East Coast Auto Repair offered to check my car out the next morning, which worked great for me. (I was right about the high quote from the dealership by almost $400.) I asked the person who greeted me at the shop if they had time to complete a thorough check of the car while they had it for my brakes and they did. When completed, their review included the work on the brakes and only the usual maintenance type things with no pressure for any additional, or possible unnecessary work. In fact, they appreciated my need to control my expenses and made suggestions on how I could get the most out of my car. The people working there were polite, knowledgeable and honest. They deserve their high ratings and I am happy to be able to have found this exceptional auto repair shop close to my new home. I highly recommend them.

My longtime mechanic had retired, and I wasn't sure where to go next until I discovered D&G Auto Repair on Yelp! In August 2025, I brought my car in for brake service (pads and rotors replacement). From the very beginning, I felt I was in good hands. Paulo, the manager, responded to my Yelp inquiry almost immediately. He was professional, kind, and attentive. He listened carefully to my concerns and explained everything in a clear, respectful way, something I truly appreciate. I felt a strong sense of trust that he genuinely cared about my car and my safety. When I arrived at the shop, Paulo was just as professional and kind in person. He made me feel confident in my choice to use to D&G Auto Repair. After I left my car, he followed up via text with an estimated bill before starting any work, which gave me peace of mind and control over the process. The shop itself is small but clearly run by expert technicians, and the waiting room is clean and comfortable, a nice bonus! I returned yesterday with a question about a noise I'd heard. Tony, one of the technicians, came out and personally walked around my car with me. He pointed out how clean it looked and even asked about repairs I had done elsewhere. He gave me a mini lesson on body repair which was surprisingly enlightening. He then gave me directions to the nearest Auto Parts store and Car Wash. That kind of extra care is rare and so appreciated. One of the reasons he chose them is that they offer a 3 year/36k mile warranty on their rebuilt transmissions. Wow, right? They fixed it almost 3 years ago ( our anniversary is 9/27) and on the way back from New Jersey - our transmission gave way again - and let me tell you, we were concerned about how to handle this. Mike was amazing - he didn't balk at all (at least to us) when he had to find a place that was as close as he could get to where we were brokedn down - Cherry Hill NJ - and that would take us in and handle diagnosing and fixing whatever transmission problem it happened to be. (I will yelp about Mike's Transmission in Collingdale PA too). Mike's Transmission in PA worked well with us and with FNA and although we had to stay in NJ for a few days, we were happy to get our van back. The one thing that I have to say about Mike at FNA - he is very kind on the phone with people like me who haven't got a clue. I like to do as much to my own vehicle as…read moreI can with my skills and tools available, but when I encounter maintenance or repairs I have neither the tools nor the skills for, I say "screw it" and call these guys. Most recently, Driver's Edge did a fabulous job on my little Subaru Forester. The SUV needed rear brake rotors and pads replaced, and in the process they discovered the source of a rattle from the exhaust system I was hearing around 1,400 RPM...which turned out to be a common issue Subaru Outback/Forester owners face, a heat shield over the exhaust manifold that comes a bit loose and rattles. I was aware of this issue, but unaware Driver's Edge did exhaust work...they called and asked if they could repair it, to which I said "Absolutely!" It was very nice driving home from their shop to not hear that tinny rattling at 1,200-1,400 RPM. I previously had them perform a brake fluid flush when my fluid got too old and that job was done well and quickly also. These folks are super professional and when they diagnose your car and need to take action to repair or replace anything, they give you a call first rather than just throwing the parts on your car and charging for it. Just one tip...Be sure to book 3ish weeks in advance of when you want service, as Driver's Edge is a popular shop for good reason! They not only do great maintenance and repair work, but they also offer upgrade services like lift kits, performance exhaust systems, wheels and tires, crate motors, and more.

I had been having problems with my car for months. 3 warning lights would come on when I was…read moredriving. I took my car to my usual mechanic and they repaired what they thought was the problem, however, it did not repair the problem. I brought it back and they tried something else, but the warning lights persisted. I then thought a fresh set of eyes might solve the problem, so I brought my car to a garage near my office and they tried their fix, but it did not work. I was told that if their first fix did not work, the problem may need a costly repair. I was talking to a neighbor and relay my concerns about whether anyone could fix the problem and he suggested Ted's Tranmissions and General Repair I dropped my car off and within an hour they diagnosised the problem. They recommended I bring it to Sullivan Tire for an alignment. None of the other shops had suggested an alignment, so I figured at this point what did I have to lose. I got the alignment and I am now light free! I would recommend Ted's to anyone who is having getting answers for a problem with their car. They are wonder diagnosticians and I am sure they would be great at repairs, it they could have repaired my car.
