Final result: I have a complete new roof and a "Fortified Roof Certificate" that qualifies me for a reduced rate on my Homeowner's insurance for the coming year. I'm more about quality than a fast-track job, so McRoof was a good choice. Ask your questions and be clear about your goals... they do a fine job of responding (although you may end up swapping messages w/ 3 or 4 different folk). Also, take note that their bid may well NOT be the lowest you'll get... but if you get what you pay for, who wants the lowest quality roof over their heads?

Then on a Sunday of all days i get a call from someone else who said they would come out on Thursday and i said i really wanted to meet the owner but Thursday would be fine. Then on Monday i get a message from the secretary who said they would have to cancel Thursday and cant come until i picked them as a contractor on the grant program Even though both the owner had already tried to come and and another person said they would be here Thursday. Ok whatever, Then after Thursday i picked them as a roofer on teh computer and they declined to come give a bid, Just wasted everyone's time from the get go and now the computer wont let me pick someone else, i have to get it fixed!

Sentry was a company I had heard of but never had any business with so I wasn't sure what to expect because I knew they'd be busy, as we were obviously not the only people affected by the storm. Not to mention, I live about an hour from Norman where they're based out of. Blake answered the phone and surely heard the desperation in my voice (can't sell a tornado damaged home!). He had one of his foreman at my house THAT DAY to assess the damage and estimate what it would take to repair. Very quick and very responsive. Here's where Blake separated himself from the other contractors I spoke with... after insurance had their inspector come out they tried skimping out on us big time. I was given a laughable report! 40 shingles, 12 sq ft of siding, yada yada.. I'm no roofing expert but from the ground with the naked eye I knew that wasn't accurate. Blake was completely honest and transparent from the get go. He assured me I needed a complete roof replacement (which I had already thought myself) and that there was much more damage that needed addressing. A thorough professional in my eyes. He took it upon himself to help deal with the insurance company and get another inspection done with his guidance. The tone seemed to change afterwards and we were scheduled for all our repairs immediately. I will do my best to remember to update this review with pictures after the repairs. Thank you Blake!
