He comes out and checks out your job, gives you an estimate, and then does exactly what he pleases and ignores what you tell him to do. Never finalizes your job when he starts just comes out and does it the way he wants and expects payment. If you question it, he leaves, makes you wait until he is ready to come back and upcharges you for making him leave and come back. Never goes over the job before he starts when it is months after he gives your quote and you end up with what he wants to give you plain and simple. I will never hire him again for anything. You pay for what he wants you to have not what you hire him for.

I hired Jeff's to do landscaping when the fill around my foundation was washing away. The job was…read moreso poor that I had to hire a second company to redo it. Jeff's put sand in the eroded areas, which began washing away with the first rain. The fabric under the rocks was such poor quality that before long I had weeds growing right through it all over the project. They installed a water catcher with a popup drain. It never worked. I told Jeff I thought it was broken. He looked at it but said that's how they work. The second company told me the drain was broken. They fixed it. The job was horrible. Then to add insult to injury, they said to fix it would cost roughly six times what they had originally quoted. Was this a bait and switch? The company that did fix the landscaping and did a very nice job charged me less than one-third of what Jeff's second bid was. Finally, Jeff said he would refund my money if he could have the drain back. I said fine, just be sure to leave the new landscaping in the same condition it was before you removed the drain. That was a year ago. I have sent Jeff's many emails since. He doesn't even respond. As you can imagine, I never got my money back. The company that did a very nice job of repairing everything Jeff's didn't do told me that among landscapers, Jeff's has a very poor reputation. The only good thing I have to say about Jeff's Landscaping is that the men who did the work were very diligent, friendly, and hardworking. Jeff's has great people working for him but he doesn't send out the appropriate materials to get the job done, and he doesn't know what he's doing when he quotes, apparently.

He even went so far as to pull off the circles on some grid tile we were using in the niches and shower floor and place them manually as he didn't feel he could match the squares without significant gaps. When he came back to do some final baseboard work, he actually teared up looking at the final result of the bathroom. He said it was as if his grandfather and father (who taught him to lay tile) told him to take everything he learned and turn this into a showcase piece... and he did. They showed up to work on the job when they said they would, painting my exterior with precision and care and stayed on the job until it was completed. This home is a three story Victorian with areas that are not easy to reach, and intricate trim that is unusual. They were professional, competent, and skilled at their craft. They were considerate by caulking joints that needed it, pointed out issues I could not see from the ground on my three story home, and completing the work to my expectations. The price was very reasonable and they did a walk around to confirm the work. They have a small town "responsible for their work" value system that left me feeling that they were trustworthy and honest. They were careful with my exterior plantings. The work they did has added to the value of my home but it was done with such ease that I wish I could have them do all of the maintenance work (plumbing, electrical etc) as it was so easy for me, and that is not my usual experience. I have contracted with them to do interior work, and would be ok with them in my home when I am at work based on the care they showed for my property. As a woman, I am thrilled to work with craftsmen who show respect for me and my instructions. Corey and his crew are so professional and respectful that I would recommend them to my elderly female relatives with confidence that they would be treated well. He does dry wall if needed for ceilings and walls then paints them to look wonderful. He created a very fresh look with his work which now shows off the beauty of my home. He is great working with women or older customers as he has a kind and cooperative manner. He showed up on time and worked until he finished the job. He was willing to do research on unusual requests and aims to please. The rates he charges are very competitive, and after he did the exterior I had many neighbors ask for his number. He is the real deal of being a craftsman with the work he does. I would hire him again and do so knowing it would be stress free.
