There's so much great stock in this vintage boutique, she'd probably have to buy a couple of crates and charter her own private plane to haul them back to L.A! Beautifully decorated like an old Hollywood actress's attic, Somewhere has wooden floorboards, old cabinets packed with jewellery and accessories and lots of old black and white photos that give it a genuine boho feel. There's racks of incredible vintage dresses, skirts, suits, blouses, knitwear and coats dotted everywhere you look and a few select dresses hanging from the ceiling. I can't claim to be be able to spot an Ossie Clark dress from a hundred feet but I can tell that the owner of SIT is clearly a dedicated fashion follower that has encylopediac knowledge of different styles and periods in fashion history.

Somewhere in time is a vintage clothing shop and antique shop in one. Here you will find vintage dresses in excellent condition, like the 1940's white tennis dress I spied, as well as vintage shoes with a lot of wear left in them, and all kinds of antiques from hardcover books to teacups. Some neat collectable items I spotted: antique dollhouse furniture, cute earrings and other costume jewellery, and a shelf of classic novels. The reason I find it weird is because this place gives me the creeps but in an interesting fashion! It is almost Adams family like in nature and I used to love the Adams family! The store has now moved to a bigger location after it had to be closed due to the Paradise Street Project in 2008. It hosts the type of wear that would attract those who are more gothic and emo in style, so it is a great store to have as you won't find a similar store anywhere else.

How wrong I was! It's a gorgeous set-up with chandeliers and fabric draped across the ceiling with luxurious silky curtains. It reminded me of a princess's dressing room (and boy does she have good taste!) No two items are the same and they choose only the finest quality vintage outfits, none of that run of the mill 'I'll have to sew that here, and take that up there' nonsense. They not only sell vintage but also designer and upcoming labels which are all mixed together on the rails, hanging lovingly side by side could be a stunning designer dress and a 1920s vintage piece. The price ranges are as varied as the styles with dresses ranging from £20 to around £500 so everyone has the opportunity to buy their little piece of unique clothing! The accessories were amazing, they had headbands, brooches, rings, earrings... all sorts of little gems that would be great as gifts or as a personal treat, now these were the real bargains, all carefully handpicked and oh so cheap. Forget the common Topshop dresses and the outfit clashes and purchase some top quality threads from a boutique that will make you feel like royalty. They had some beautiful prom dress style formal wear, I just need an occasion and I'll be back with my credit card quicker than you can say Gok Wan.

In one of the windows belonging to the arcade you can see child mannequins modelling christening and bridal wear, and it has been a long standing joke that the little baldy boy looks a lot like one of my mates, even though all the child mannequins are quite freakish. The walls inside the passage are yellow and white, with decorative windows set in them. Inside you will find a newsagent, a children's formal wear store, a vintage clothing shop, a hat shop, a vintage/repurposed jewellery store, and a hair salon. Most of the shops seemed to be closed when I went in midday, however Hope & Winkle Vintage was open, and they are well worth the visit. There's a very interesting hat shop opposite Hope & Winkle which looks to serve nearly every possible hat need you could imagine. Sarah Daly hair studio is on the second or third floor, up a very windy staircase, as is the vintage clothing shop which seemed closed when I was there. All in all, a very cute shopping arcade.

Well, this little gem has only opened in the last two weeks, so the prices are certainly customer friendly! There are a range of floral 60s vintage dresses from £15-£20, polka-dotted skirts, checkered shirts, denim jackets and the rest...most prices are under £25 so all pocket friendly! If you're going in for accessories, you're likely to get an even better deal! The owner handmakes cufflinks (£3.50), headbands and rings all of which were cool and individual pieces. I saw some really cute heart shaped 1980s pierced earrings and they had a little trinket box full of belts, all at £2 each! I love rooting through the vintage prom dresses, there was one shiny emerald green number which was the perfect mermaid outfit! And when you've chosen those little retro buys which are "ready to wear" then you can oggle the mirrored till complete with space raiders. Too cool.

There are rows upon rows of dull vintage pieces that all seem to blend into one,sharing the same type of styles,eras and material. There are also collections of badly sewn day dresses that you would expect to find being cheaply sold at market stands. Now I will admit that I have found two items of beautiful and wonderful clothing at Pop boutique over the years, one including a elaborate vintage dress that was heavy and very elaborate in size, which the sales assistants ,who although are very nice,seem to have no idea and went to crush this beautiful ornate dress into a bag barely larger than an a4 sheet and then when i asked for a bin bag for it to put in it...lets just say it would have been quicker to go to the nearest shop and buy some. I believe that as there is a tremendous gap in Liverpool for all us vintage lovers that Pop Boutique is more popular than it should be and more often than not is more of a poor mans Urban outfitter rather than a vintage shop that has passion and love for just that,Vintage.

The staff was a lot of fun and just a general good vibe in here! It's super amusing to me how friendly the shopkeepers are in every town we visited. I know that a lot of their income is from tourists but it seems they go above and beyond to help you. This shop was along one main though fare that led to this bombed out church at the of street. It was on Joe's list of things he wanted to see. This street stretched out for a mile with tons of interesting shops, there was even a thrift store where I purchased a pair of flip-flops for 2 quid! Resurrection has slowly taken over Drome's mantle as Liverpool's number one independent retailer, reflecting the city's changing fashion tastes and as it has done so, steadily expanding its premises and range. The men's fashion primarily falls into two categories of modern, urban wear - what with your hoodies and printed, pop-culture t shirts n that - and vintage clothing - old clothes. Within these there is plenty that can be found for all tastes as long as you are veering towards the casual side of things and like more independent, smaller names. The trainers aren't quite as varied as some other retailers but as the store has recently expanded there's no reason to suggest that Resurrection doesn't have its eyes set on dominating the Liverpool fashion scene completely.
