She then tells him that he doesn't deserve the discount. He is a combat veteran so why doesn't he deserve the discount just like every other veteran or military person? Who is she to make that decision?The manager Joe was called and we were basically told the employee did nothing wrong and he would not do anything about her behavior because he wasn't there to witness her say these things. Why doesn't she go and fight for our country and then she can talk.. Also then my husband was trespassed. They would rather trespass people who stand up to their horrible employees than deal with the issues. I'v never seen such harsh mask requirements and even for people who medically can't wear them but Ace will not serve ANYONE Who does not wear one. Eventually, the owner, Decker, came out and admitted the lawn had been damaged--but still wanted to charge her half-price for aeration as a "fair" solution. Before the aeration, she followed their instructions carefully and marked all sprinkler heads. Despite that, the technician hit a sprinkler line during the service. When she called the next morning to report it, she was told it would be two weeks before anyone could come repair it. I stepped in and arranged for a local contractor to fix it the same day. When my mom called TruGreen to provide the invoice, she was met with hostility. Decker raised his voice, told her to "just admit this wasn't our fault," and refused to take full responsibility. When I spoke with him myself, he was initially polite, but quickly became defensive and condescending when I tried to calmly resolve the situation. The issue wasn't just the damage--it was the way it was handled. No ownership, no professionalism, and no respect. Things go wrong sometimes, but how a company responds matters. Unfortunately, TruGreen failed in every way that counts.
