I had a 2:30 appointment, but by 3:00 I still hadn't been seen. When I asked the front desk how much longer it would be, I was told the stylist was "almost done with a client." If that's the case, why schedule me for 2:30 and have me sit there for half an hour? I even overheard the stylist say, "Tell her I'll be with her shortly." Experienced stylist (Robert) did a nice job on my simple cut with bangs. Not everyone can do bangs and he nailed it. Very lovely salon - well decorated for the holidays and the shampoo was relaxing too. Love the colors. Great environment, friendly people and a good stylist - what more could you ask for? From my check-in to my shampoo and finally my haircut by Christina everything was perfect. Christina did an amazing job cutting my hair and blowing it out. First time I left the salon and didn't have to wet my hair to redo it. This amazing blowout lasted 3 days still looking good. My bestie and I came for a few days for my birthday. Last minute decision to get our hair cut while we were here brought us to Total Image. The friendly lady who answered the phone squeezed us in even though they were extremely busy and we both were very very happy with the results. We both got a cut, blow dry and style. Loved it !!! Diane did my hair and listened when I said I wanted a trim and shape on a shorter stacked look style. She did a great job! My friend has long hair and Christine did a great job with her as well. Cut off dead ends and shaped her front around her face and blew it out. Looked fantastic. Very friendly and lovely establishment. Why do hair stylists think they know better than the client? I recently moved to the area and went to Total Image for the first time yesterday. All I wanted was a good trim of my long hair. I ask to have my hair trimmed to about 2 inches below my shoulder, I even gave a visual indication. Well, I guess Gail who had only know me for 3 mins decided this is not what I wanted because I ended up with hair above shoulder length. All I can say am I am terribly upset cried all day yesterday, now I just need to wait a year or so till it grows back so I can wear it up as I wanted. It saddens me to write a bad review because everyone in the salon was very nice and I really wanted to like this place. read more

A charming salon with wonderful staff & very talented stylists - love my hair & highly recommend!

I would give this place 0 stars for my haircut if I could, but the people working there are very nice. I got my haircut here about 2.5 years ago (so whoever cut my hair may not be there anymore). I asked for long layers and a cut to about my collar bone. My hair was cut above shoulder length with short layers, but to make things worse the cut performed on my hair left the right side noticeably longer than the left side. I didn't go back because I honestly didn't want anyone here touching my hair again. My hair took over a year to become even again. read more

When I left this salon, I was so, so upset. It was clean enough but I did not receive the outcome I had asked/hoped for. She was slow to work, even stopped to chat with a regular, and this was after letting her know I was in a time crunch before a wedding. I intentionally kept my hair unwashed that morning to hold better but they insisted on washing it anyway. The style wasn't what I asked for and involved lots of messy teasing. I had Shirley Temple-like curls but my stylist refused to make them any different, insisting they would "fall out nicely." Eventually she saw how upset I appeared and tried to shake them out, resulting in a frizzy mess. I was beyond upset and frustrated and got out of that chair and seat as fast as I could. To add insult in injury, they charged me for a full updo even though only a few pieces were pinned back. It cost me over $80 when I was expecting less than $40. I was so behind schedule from the slow service, I didn't even bother to try and argue or discuss the style. Thankfully a friend was staying at the same place as me and was able to rescue my hair. read more
