I scheduled to drop my car off on a Friday "any time after dinner" and was told they were open until 9pm. I was told this actually works better for them. Then I get a dispatch call midafternoon they're at my house and need to pick the car up. A "miscommunication on their end". I wasn't out shopping. I was out running last minute errands for a cross country move. They said they would go to other pickups and come back, I came back early to get them my car. They did NOT wait 2 hours for me- I watched the guy pull up the second time. They actually said he would be there in about 2 hours, it was 4. I didn't need to rush home. Also, they did not pay for my Uber to dinner (but they did pay for my Uber to Walmart upon me picking up my car though after delivering it to the wrong location aka asked for my address and location but forgot to pass it on to the delivery guy and picked a random Walmart in a big city that was 35 minutes from me, so yes that Uber they paid for). Also, I am not a "young person" like your daughter. Let's stop assuming people's ages and even then basing how we feel about them off that. Plain and simple, the communication was poor, nobody on your team talks to each other which is why things are falling through the cracks, and I let you guys know that as a way to improve. Both delivery drivers were great, but telling someone to drop off their car at the downtown office after dinner and then showing up at noon "because of a miscommunication" and then going to the wrong delivery address "because we forgot to pass along the updated information" doesn't work for a business. Own it and move on! *** He responded again and is now saying my friends planned a surprise dinner for me (not true, I was going to dinner with one friend) and I blew them off. I am attaching photos of the emails and text communication with them. It shows the email they sent me when the driver thought my car was already at the office so I had to reroute and make myself available for them, which they thanked me for.... not I blew them off for a surprise dinner lol. Also a copy of his Yelp response for when he changes it again and lies again. Be careful with these guys!!

Cross Country Movers is actually located in the Los Angeles area. As a result they did not arrive…read moreat my San Diego condo until noontime and without the required floor covering which was clearly outlined in the condo's moving requirements which was emailed to the company. In addition the moving requirements clearly stated that movers were allowed the hours from 8 AM to 6 PM to accomplish the move. As a result the movers were unable to complete the packing and loading on the day of the move. They had to return the following day to complete the move. Fortunately I had the next day free but had to pay the condo HOA an additional $150 for the second day. So all of this is the bad news. The good news is that my household goods were transported from San Diego to Southport, NC on time and in excellent condition. This was the first move ( out of 7 previous moves ) where not one item was lost or broken. The packers were meticulous in packing everything including crystal glassware and china. It was a pleassure to work with these guys who were pleasant and respectful as well as very hard workers. My grandfather clock was packed in a wooden crate and arrived in perfect condition. I can highly recommend this moving company. The only caveat is that you should note that it will take time for them to get to San Diego and if you have a large amount of household goods it may take them 2 days to pack and load.

At first, I was sort of hesitating using this service since I wasn't sure whether or not it was actually legit. I had to make some phone calls and asked some questions about the procedures, prices, as well as shipping processes. Mia helped me all the way through with her enthusiasm and patience. I immediately signed the contract since there wasn't literally no other moving company could ever have better offer than this. Total was $3200 but I got a discount to $2976. The movers were very professional and careful with packing and moving every item. While one of the items was damaged on arrival, the mover submitted the information immediately to the office. One of the items was accidentally left behind at the arrival warehouse. Again, I was contacted within the hours and they made arrangement to have it delivered. In fact, they were able to have it delivered by that evening! We were moving from San Diego to Trenton NJ and I have never done a move like this, and my first time hiring movers. It took us a long time to be able to schedule a date because our move was very up in the air up until the last minute, and Luke was able to help me get everything scheduled appropriately. We moved a 1 bedroom apartment and a vehicle, as they do bundle deals. They sent someone out to take inventory of our apartment before we even scheduled anything to get an accurate quote that was VOLUME based, not weight based. Meaning they would not turn around on moving day and say "hey this was heavier than we thought we gotta charge more," which many friends and family had told me horror stories about. The quote they gave me after the in home estimate was what I paid. The men they sent to pack up our apartment were exceedingly professional and packed everything up in 2.5 hours. I packed almost all boxes, they packed my kitchen and the rest of the apartment. They packed all my paintings delicately, took off the stands and such as needed from our TVs. I didn't have to lift a finger. Everything took almost the full 2 week window to arrive, however it's cross country, so we planned for this. We received almost daily texts about our household items, updating us on where the truck was along the route. For both the car and household we got calls/texts the day before to schedule a drop off window. Delivery of the car came first: they need to deliver on an 18 wheeler so it's possible you will need to Uber to a pickup location(our was only 8 minutes away in a supermarket lot), however the driver will comp you for this. Just bring change just in case! Car was in great shape, no problems there. Household items arrived 2 days later, and the movers were equally professional and quick. They reassembled anything they had to take apart for the move. All in all, I had ZERO issues with this company and they did everything as expected and promised. I was very lucky by "moving standards" because not so much as a single glass cracked. I have nothing bad to say. I wholly recommend this company if hiring movers is in your budget.
