I…read moreultimately picked Auto Express, despite them being $300-$500 more than some of my other quotes because they advertised NOT using brokers and ONLY using their own fleet for transport. This ended up not being true so I spent way more money for no extra reassurance. The pickup was supposed to be at their downtown office location on a Friday night around 6pm. They said it would be easier for me to just drop it off and not worry about timing so I made dinner plans my last night near downtown, however I got an expected call that afternoon the driver was at my house for pickup in North County. I wasn't even home and was running errands. He came back 2 hours later and I then had to spend $75 on an Uber to dinner since I no longer had a vehicle. Drop off was supposed to be on Friday, but ended up being Saturday. No biggie, except it turned into a whole ordeal. I get a text that the car is already dropped off at a Walmart parking lot 30 minutes away from my location. They claimed it was the zip code I provided, however there is email documentation of the address I sent them of where I was at (and there happened to be a Walmart 2 miles away if they wanted to do drop off in that type of parking lot). I was initially told the driver couldn't wait and I would need to wait until the following day or he would need to drive to Raleigh for another drop off and back and get my car in 6 hours, however he did end up waiting. They also asked if he could just leave my key in the center console, but I said no since my belongings were there and that was too big of a risk. I had to pay $31 for an Uber to the Walmart however they DID Venmo me back for this, so I'm giving them 2 stars instead of 1 because I do appreciate that much!! The delivery driver was super nice, however informed me that he DOES work for a broker company and does not work for Auto Ex. I had tried to confirm this with Auto Express Inc at pickup when I noticed the inspection email came from a different company and couldn't get a direct response from them. They said they were "part of their fleet", but I guess that's open to interpretation. The driver showed me texts from the company to him and that the Walmart parking lot was the drop off address he received from the start and there were no talks of any other provided address. I would give the delivery company 3-4 stars! They did a good job and my car arrived in good condition.

He got us a price we were comfortable with and booked us with transport. We were shipping a Range Rover Sport from Massachusetts to Los Angeles, so quite a distance. We were given a number to call for information from the dispatch, which we only used once. Our car arrived on time, no issues. The driver was very professional and was very nice to deal with. The car was in great condition with just a bit of dust from the ride. We were very pleased with this company's service and would use them again as well as recommend them to others.

As a result they did not arrive…read moreat my San Diego condo until noontime and without the required floor covering which was clearly outlined in the condo's moving requirements which was emailed to the company. In addition the moving requirements clearly stated that movers were allowed the hours from 8 AM to 6 PM to accomplish the move. As a result the movers were unable to complete the packing and loading on the day of the move. They had to return the following day to complete the move. Fortunately I had the next day free but had to pay the condo HOA an additional $150 for the second day. So all of this is the bad news. The good news is that my household goods were transported from San Diego to Southport, NC on time and in excellent condition. This was the first move ( out of 7 previous moves ) where not one item was lost or broken. The packers were meticulous in packing everything including crystal glassware and china. It was a pleassure to work with these guys who were pleasant and respectful as well as very hard workers. My grandfather clock was packed in a wooden crate and arrived in perfect condition. I can highly recommend this moving company. The only caveat is that you should note that it will take time for them to get to San Diego and if you have a large amount of household goods it may take them 2 days to pack and load.
