Never going back. Here's why: I went in for a regular adjustment, nothing out of the ordinary. I regularly go to a Chiropractor, so I know the routine. Having been to Chiropractors over the last 20 years, I know when someone is good and when they're not. In my adjustment he only partially moved my neck, it wasn't even a complete neck adjustment. I asked if that was it and he said yes. That has never happened to me with any other Chiropractor. I've always had a full adjustment of my neck and back. I immediately knew I couldn't trust him, so I decided never to return. Weeks after my visit I got a bill for $64 dollars, which is after my insurance already paid the negotiated rates. Everyone's insurance is different, but I have good insurance that already paid $144 for 1 visit. With that insurance, I've never been billed this much for 1 visit from any other Chiropractor. I went back to my old Chiropractor and he told me this guy is taking advantage of me. There's a ton of Chiropractors out there, and I don't need to be paying that much for 1 visit. Never going back. read more

First I want to say my wife was right. She's been seeing Dr Schuester for years. My first visit I felt better but worse? Weird, right? Now I've seen him and his staff 3 times. WOW! Now I'm seeing why she's been going for 3 years. VERY friendly, caring and professional. First a massage, electro stim with a heat pad and then the adjustments. I'm hitting my driver 30 more yards, irons are 10 to 15 yards longer and I'm walking more upright. Walking with MUCH LESS PAIN! THANKS DOC. read more

This was my first experience at a chiropractor and it was far beyond amazing! I tweaked my neck while lifting weights and was unable to move my head left or right. I was referred to Dr. Schuster from a co-worker. After my visit and treatment with Dr. Schuster and his staff, I had full mobility! Dr. Schuster talked me through his treatment in order to educate me on proper care for the body. I have nothing but respect for him and his staff. Thank you Dr. Schuster and Total Athleticare for an amazing experience! I will be sure to come back for routine care! read more

Just wanted to let everyone know how great this place is ! Warm welcoming feeling when you walk in. Dr. Schuster treats all of his patients like family. Super motivated and very positive. I had aching hip pain for about two years until I went to see Dr. Schuster. I had seen several doctors and no one could help. Finally I can walk pain free. Great massage therapist and a very down to earth atmosphere. Check him out. I live in the city so it is a hike for me but definitely worth the visit. read more

I have been a patient since August 2011. I started going to Total Athleticare due to severe lower back pain. I had gone to see two other chiropractors for this particular problem and I was not getting any relief. I decided to try one more place and I found a winner! Dr. Schuster and Dr. Barreyro are both great. You really get the sense that they both care about their patients' overall well-being. I have never been to another chiropractor that is as thorough as they are at Total Athleticare. Every visit consists of electric stimulation therapy, a spinal adjustment and massage. I still go once a month for "maintenance" since I have a long history of chronic back pain. The office is welcoming and the entire staff is very friendly. I highly recommend them if you are looking for a chiropractor! read more

The team from Total Athleticare are all friendly and professional. I've been a patient of Dr. Bradley Hirsh (a chiropractor) for several years and am very happy with his care. Massage therapist Eric is one of the best I've ever been to. I'd recommend Total Athleticare to anyone who could benefit from their services. read more

I haven't used this office since October of 2010. The chiropractor that I was going to isn't even in business anymore. I got a bill from them wanting money from my visits in 2010! When I called the office, some woman with a Minnie Mouse voice would not even listen to why I was angry. Um 1. The doctor that took care of me is GONE and 2. It's been 1 1/2 years since I even went into their offices! Why wasn't I billed previously? I was told by the office that the only charges we would receive was the copay. It's been nearly 2 years. Write it off and stop bothering your ex clients. read more

Have happily been seeing Dr. B for a year, now, and I couldn't be any happier with my treatment. Her, Dr. Schuster, the massage therapists, and entire staff are the friendliest and most knowledgeable and professional people. They truly care about your well-being, and make you feel like family. I happily recommend them to anyone needing care. read more

Great practice! Very knowledgeable and always leave feeling better! Highly recommend Total Athleticare!

I was having crippling neck pain right before my wedding abroad and I was extremely concerned about being on a plane for 15 hours in this condition. Luckily, they have convenient hours and I was able to get in on a Saturday at around 1pm. Dr. B did a great job re-aligning my neck/spine and she referred me over to a massage therapist that was able to loosen up the muscles in a therapeutic way not the kind that you would expect in a spa. The nice thing is, everything was covered by my insurance read more

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. B and the entire team at Total Athleticare! They provide a service and treatment that is unmatched, in my opinion. I have been a patient of Dr. B's for over 6 months now and have been completely satisfied with the care I receive. Dr. B is fantastic! Not only is she incredibly knowledgeable, she has an awesome sense of humor and a caring bedside manner, all of which are important to me. I've called a few times at the last minute when in an unbearable amount of pain and they make it a point to work me into their schedule as soon as possible, sometimes even the same day. I can't thank Dr. B and her team enough for providing me with the best chiropractic care available. Highly recommend! read more

Moving to Chicago meant I left a chiropractor I loved back in Ohio. Total Athlecticare has met and exceeded my expectations. They provide my family with excellent service and the staff is great. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Schuster, the massage therapists and everyone at Total Athlecticare. read more

Bar none, Dr. B. is my healthcare go-to. Was diagnosed with Trigeminal Neuralgia several months ago and neurologists treat this with anti-seizure meds, which have awful side effects. Dr. B. adjusted me and from that point on I've had absolutely no more pain from TN...a miracle to be spared a lifetime of visits to the neurologist and horrible meds. She is a compassionate, amazing Dr. and I will always be grateful! read more

1st time going to a chiropractor and I'm hooked! I was in a car accident and hesitant to see a chiropractor but my doctor insisted. I went to Dr. Schuster because my friend said he was great. Let me tell you the name "Total Athleticare" fits! Hands down the BEST place to go for "total" care! Dr. Schuster is AMAZING! I can walk without pain and my body is healing thanks to everyone at Total Athleticare. Whatever you need this is the place - guaranteed! read more

I have been a patient of Dr Schuster for approximately 10 years, he offers wonderful, professional & compassionate service. If you are doubting yourself about visiting him, don't hesitate another moment. They are all truly awesome at Total Athleticare! read more

The office setting is nice but they are a bit unprofessional. They have me a massage on a table with no coverings, not even to lay my face in so i just used my arm. When Dr. Schuster adjusrtes me the door is left open and it only takes him a total of 2 minutes each visit and he recommends I come everyday. Any person in their right mond knows you do not go to a chiropractor everyday. Each time I go, I deal with someone new. Im glad that I found a new chiropractor that really cares. My first visit was no different fron the rest. They never took notes of how much pain I was in when I started nor when I ended, read more

I have been coming here for at least 10 years. Everyone there is like family to me, including Janeth, Diana and Felicia at front desk. Dr. Schuster and Dr. Barreyro have helped me enormously over the years with different types of treatments. The rooms are always clean and soothing. They are always willing to accommodate my schedule as well. The massage therapists are top notch with relaxing music and essential oils in a diffuser to soothe your soul. Would NEVER go anywhere else and have recommended them numerous times to anyone and everyone! Luv all of you and thank you read more

Great place to go to for effective pain management. To be honest this is the next best chiropractic practice I have found in Schaumburg area after my original chiropractor from Functional Health and Chiropractic moved to Texas. The staff here is extremely helpful especially Diane and Victor who made sure that all my questions were answered. Last but not the least Dr. Barreyro was extremely patient and really took time to understand my problem and give me my prognosis. Even with a "non cooperative" (as I have problem relaxing my muscles during adjustment) patient like me she was extremely patient and made sure that the nerve that was pinching for me got adjusted and I got relieved of my pain to a good extent in just one session. Personally, I can definitely say that I have found my next best chiropractor in the Schaumburg area and I highly recommended her for your chiropractic needs and I look forward to continue my treatment with her. Thank you Dr. Barreyro. read more
