Nope! We were…read morestaying in a nearby holiday home directly on the beach. We were very happy to spot this Beach Bar / Restaurant just a few steps away. So already on our first night we gave it a try. And for the quick reader: We never came back! There was some birthday party going on, so we had to wait an hour until it was open to public. No problem and understandable. So we ordered two glasses of white wine and took a seat on their beach chairs at the ocean. Later on we took a table and ordered a bottle of Red, a Swordfish salad/starter, Ravioli filled with Ricotta with shrimp sauce. And Pasta with Mussels/Vongole. Service was ok, nothing great but nothing bad. The Red Wine was really good, so much for that. But everything else a complete let-down. The Swordfish tasted very strong. We stayed in Italy for five weeks and had lots of great Italian food, great fish and seafood and great swordfish dishes. But this one wasn't one of it. The mains were a further disappointment. The mussels and vongole weren't just not fresh enough....or at least didn't taste fresh enough. The Ravioli were another - if bad - joke. Looked and tasted like something you buy ready-made in a supermarket. And then some shrimp thrown into the sauce. Shrimp that looked and tasted like fresh out of a class can (you know the kind you can buy in stores). We do understand that this is a beach bar. But - even on this trip (for ex. Nicotera) - we've eaten in Italian Beach bars and they all did beat this place. Some had even terrific food. Also some mom'n'pop trattorias were better by miles. So I think even though it's a place to drink and enjoy the beach and its views, the food could improve a great deal. All came together at 70 Euros...which is also not really moderate. If you really skip the food and just enjoy some drinks here at the beach, then this might be for you. But the views and sunsets we got from our holiday home, so I have to judge our food-experience and not the views. The also do rent beach chairs and umbrellas in daytime. Don't know the prices though, we had our own equipment. Too bad, we really wanted to like this place. But oh well, we ended up cooking at home, throwing some great fresh seafood on the grill from the local fishmonger.
