Eventually, she brought me the lemon, and then I paid. The whole interaction felt unnecessarily difficult and came across as rude. The Panino #8 was really good and I enjoyed it, but it could definitely use a lot more pistachio sauce. I'd recommend asking for extra when you order because the flavor is great...it just needs more of it. Overall, the food has a lot of potential, especially if you make a couple of small adjustments to your order. I just wish the customer service had matched the quality of the food.

A small an unpretentious place, it is manned by a very friendly staff. My brother and I happened to get the same sandwich; a coincidence. Salami and provolone was what we ordered. We were asked if we wanted sharp provolone and we both jumped on that. I'm tired of the wimpy provolone at home. He grabbed a fresh roll and made the sandwich up right in front of us. Our server gave us each a sample of the meat from a 8" diameter huge salami roll before making the sandwiches. Fresh and delicious. Quick and friendly service all rate a "cinque!"

The staff were super friendly and welcoming and I would strongly recommend you drop by here if you are heading into Ortygia as the prices are far better here than in town. Small quaint deli-like bistro and right away we are jabbering with the owner and son. Wasn't soon and we'd worked out what to eat and drink. THEN the rain came down hard and the thunder rolled right over our heads. We were going to be here awhile. What am opportunity to try so many home made foods! Eggplant; can NEVER go wrong with this. Although we ducked in to escape the torrential rain, we found a simple menu with wonderful fish dishes and sandwiches, and a homemade Caponata that really satisfies. They have a decent selection of Italian and Sicilian beers, including drafts, and a delightful array of Sicilian wines. We enjoyed it so much, we returned for lunch the next day. Cheers!
