burritos yeah!
Maro T.

nice place - got food really quick even if it was total crowded this time. we tried every single burrito so far and can totally recommend this chain! for a little extra money you can top off your burrito. you can also choose between medium and large burritos. if you go with a vegetarian burrito you can try black and brown beans with guacamole on top :) go for a bonus card and enjoy a free burrito or taco when you reached 5/or 10 points. only sad part is that no matter how much food you buy, you only get 1 point ..

Review Highlights - Tortilla - Hammersmith

I do prefer the chicken here to the other options and the tomato rice has this amazingly special taste that makes this burrito original.

I ended up going to just before a show at the Apollo…read more My first impression was surprisingly quite good, I loved the decoration but had a moment of panic when I saw the Asian looking waitress. No time to waste, we went anyway. My friend and I both ordered Tacos and had a free garlic bread because of Apollo tickets. We had two tiny slices of bread... One each. Not very generous! As for the tacos... Pointless. Not spicy. just chicken and salad basically. I could have done it better myself.

I never thought I'd be adding a restaurant to Yelp just to tell other patrons to steer clear, but…read morehere we are. My boyfriend and I stopped in here looking for a quick bite before seeing Penn and Teller at the Apollo. It looked kitsch but in a funny way, like an old Disney cartoon before they became self-aware. We decided to take it for a spin. This place is definitely a hole-in-the-wall, but seeing one single waitress who struggled with English and looked completely confounded when I had tried ordering in Spanish (didn't even know the correct pronunciations of the dishes) at 6 pm in the evening was a little depressing. I ordered the sopa azteca and tacos (pretty hard to go wrong there). My esteemed companion ordered potatoes and grilled salmon. The sopa azteca was ok (read: edible), and honestly I was so hypnotically enthralled by my ice cold Corona that I wasn't too bothered by that. The potatoes were soggy, though the salsa was very fresh and good. The tacos were.. sad. Limp and not very spicy, with iceberg lettuce and those kind of tomato slices you sometimes see in restaurants but have never found in your own kitchen that are more white than red. I don't know how else to describe it but "sad," which is so far from the vibrancy I have come to expect from Mexican food. The salmon was passable, not "blackened" as the menu described. Much to our frustration, however, was that it came floating on a high tide of more of these mushy potato chunks that were identical to the starter that had been ordered. So, basically my boyfriend's dinner consisted of lots and lots of really mediocre potato chunks, and a reasonable hunk of salmon. It was something a server should have noted in the order, since the menu didn't even mention the potatoes in the salmon dish. Things took a turn for the worse when we needed to go and make the show, and the server was overwhelmed by most of the other patrons with the same intention. It seemed that her solution to this problem was to stand in the bar and not acknowledge anyone she was supposed to be serving. It got to the point where we finally got up (with two other parties also attempting to leave), and just stood in line for her to run our cards. Normally, such a circumstance would have left me mortified - I really hate being that sort of guest, and I will often choose not to even go to a restaurant unless I think there is time for something leisurely. Nevertheless, this server was being ridiculous, the £40 needed to change hands, and we needed to get the heck out of that dive. All in all, I really wouldn't go back for anything except perhaps another ice cold Corona. It was a pretty sad food experience.

Wetherspoon The…read moreWilliam Morris Pub in Hammersmith London. Wetherspoon. I visited the pub and sat quietly having some drinks on my own. A bar assistant made a serious complaint about me. She accused me of harassment and said I was touching her as she walked by. The manager asked me to leave the pub. I said the bar assistant is mistaken and he should check the cctv camera. 2 security guards returned and literally dragged me out of the pub accusing me of harassment. I could not even collect my bag. I was very embarrassed being treated like an animal. The security guards were aggressive and the african guard wished to have a fight with me. He kept putting his fists up and saying come on fight me and the baldy security guard did absolutely nothing to prevent him assaulting me. This is all recorded on his body cam and the evidence is there. I was furious and I shouted at them for mistreating me. Another african man was passing by with his friends and an argument started with them. The african man assaulted me by punching me in my face. I watched as he was then allowed by the 2 security guards to enter The William Morris pub Hammersmith with no problems or issues. The african man and his friends must be friends of the security guards. I called 999 to report the assault. The bar manager an Indian man came to me and said I was barred from the pub. I said I had done nothing wrong. He said I was abusive which is certainly true after I was dragged out of the pub being accused of harassment. He could not prove the bar assistants allegations using the cctv. So instead he barred me for getting abusive and angry in my reaction to being violently thrown out of The illiam Morris in Hammersmith for harassment. The police arrived and did not find the african man who assaulted me even though there were 8 policemen all standing outside The William Morris in Hammersmith. The police told me to leave or I would be arrested. Serious 2 tier police and security behaviours. The William Morris in Hammersmith London should not be allowed to treat customers in this manner. They were wrong to accuse me of harassment and the security guard who kept challenging me to his fist fight should be dismissed along with his dodgy fellow security guard. I think a background check on those 2 men would be very interesting. The security guards did not see anything from my view point at all and had no understanding whatsoever. Very dodgy pub they have there. Absolutely disgusting. Watch what you are doing. Please becareful. They are not honest managers and staff. It is unsafe inside this pub. Be vigilant when you are drinking in The William Morris in Hammersmith London.
