We could not possibly be more pleased with her professionalism, attention to detail, personal touch, and overall cheerful demeanor. Every step of the process was stress-free, and Elissa even went above and beyond on several occasions by mailing us chocolate (always a plus), and helping us get an idea of what to expect from other parts of the wedding planning process completely unrelated to photography. Beyond her incredible diligence (all of our wedding photos were edited and posted online before we returned from our honeymoon), Elissa is also a very talented photographer who is very light on her feet. For the most part, we hardly noticed her presence (with the exception of some great, and amusing direction during the crazy family formal shots), but the photos indicate that she has a way of being everywhere at once! My mother-in-law actually expressed concern on the wedding day that she thought the entire ceremony had only been photographed from behind my wife, such that there would be no photos of her face during a very emotional event. When I saw that there were in fact gorgeous, artful and intimate photos from just about every angle--I was relieved and elated that my MOL's worries were proven to be baseless (aren't they always? haha). I had a client who was not so happy with her wedding photographer but was in LOVE with his engagement session shooter. Guess who that was? They loved loved Jenna! I honestly have not had the honor of working with Jenna on the professional level but think its much more important to describe what it's like on a client level. We (my husband and I) are not photogenic people. We hate posing for photos unless we have had something to drink (and by something I mean a lot!). She is unique from other wedding photographers that I saw in that her photos portray colors vividly and boldly. She has an incredibly inclusive and diverse business and is accepting of all different wedding and couple types! Jenna as a person really tries to get to know you and she even took us out to dinner just to chat a few weeks before our big day! We absolutely loved our photos from our engagement shoot and our wedding - most of the important moments were captured in beautifully vivid color. We had an Indian fusion wedding and chose her because we saw another Indian fusion wedding she had done in which we fell in love with her photography style. That said, there is a certain dramatic style and culturally specific type of photos that Indian weddings usually have and I felt that I missed out on some of those types of photos (even though we are not a fan of overly dramatic to begin with and she already adds a good amount of drama to her photos!). There could have been a little more cultural exploration there and of course that will come with her practicing on Indian weddings. Regardless, I am so glad I took a chance on her because we were really happy with the results for a totally reasonable price for wedding photographers. Would certainly recommend her in general! And for Indian weddings, just make sure you work with her to tell and show her exactly what you're looking for, but she can definitely give you the drama you're looking for!

Pros: -The prices are posted upfront on the website. -Prepared, punctual, and responsive. Frank was on time for our engagement shoot, and early for our wedding day. They were setup and finishing up their test shots before we arrived at the venue. -Frank and his assistant (I think Mike?) went above and beyond on the wedding day. They helped make sure our outfits looked perfect. It had rained earlier during the day on the wedding date, and they ran to grab some towels to dry the ground so that my dress didn't get wet in some of the prime photo locations at the venue (Hummingbird House). -They also helped divert some persistent bees that were swarming our bouquets - this is one of those unspoken but valuable perks if you have an outdoor January ceremony. -Our wedding party loved them, too. They will pepper you with compliments and tell you when you've nailed a good pose. It's a great confidence boost for the one day where you'll be perpetually stressing over minuscule details in your appearance. -The photos! They're amazing! I'm really happy with how they turned out. -My husband and I weren't very picky with any sort of "vision" or "look" that we were trying to achieve in our photo shoots. We'd also never taken professional photos together prior to the engagement shoot. Frank helped direct us into optimal pose positions (e.g. cross or uncross your ankles, tilt your shoulders *this* direction, etc.), which cut out some of the awkward poses that we were forcing ourselves into within the first few minutes of the session. Just to be clear - she did not give me her business info or anything - I took the initiative to find out she had her own business and write a review for it separately from the company she contracted for. It was ugly out when we took the first look photos - humid, grey, pouring down rain - the lighting was just awful, but the pics turned out surprisingly well! She definitely knew what she was doing. The sun came out during the ceremony and reception, and she took advantage of that and took some great pics.
