Quite frankly, she has set the bar too high for any other photographer to come close to achieving. Nervous at first, the free spirited artist was able to put our minds at ease in record time (seriously, she had my wife relaxed in under two minutes and a half - yes, I am anal retentive enough to time that shit). The photographer is very personable, with a keen eye for 'just the right pose'. Reviewing the shots I was (and still am actually) amazed at how well she was able to capture the moment. Ladies - Julia is sweet, warm, and kind spirited. I do not believe for a minute she'd ever ask you to do anything you're uncomfortable with. Her dedication to art ensures you will look your best when you review the photos. She WILL make you into the cover girl you've always dreamed of being. Guys - Shhh, let the ladies work, you'll be happy you did. Seriously, kind of like a wedding the moment is all about her; let her enjoy the spotlight and you'll see just how beautiful your woman really is. They say a picture is worth a thousand words - until I met Julia and reviewed some of her work I would have agreed; but after seeing the awe-inspiring art she manages to conjure with a camera lens the only word that comes to mind is "WoW". I am typically articulate to a fault; but her work leaves me speechless - every time.

Did my google searching for photographers in Houston and contacted about a dozen. Perhaps half responded they weren't available, and half didn't respond. However, one adorable young lady in Austin (3 hours away), Julia Vie of Vivian's Muse, said she was very excited about shooting me! We exchanged several emails about the process and logistics and had an extended phone chat. My trepedation morphed into excitement and anticipation. Let's do this!! The big day! Julia shot perhaps 400 photos in an hour or so, all the while offering instruction, incredible encouragement and showing me what she had captured in her viewfinder. All with a monster camera and first class professional lighting. We shot on the couch, on the stairway, in the window, on the bed. Woah, so exhilerating! Nervousness was gone and my inner goddess had taken over. I'm not one for exaggeration but this was truly one of the best hours of my life. Back the next morning to review and select proofs. Oh no, her computer jammed up, wasn't happening. No problem in the digital age. We had more girly chat, comparing notes on all of the fun we had had the preceding day. A few days later the proofs arrived via email. I was blown away. OH MY! That cannot possibly be me. But...it is! Being a goddess, even for a short while, really gets in your head. And stays there. Who would have thought the idea of having a little fun by trying something different would turn into a life changing event? Thank you so very, very much Julia! And, girls, if you have any lingering doubts about treating yourself to this experience, all I can say is do not delay, call Julia today! Hugs, Michelle

She's always been talented and had an eye for this but OH MY GOODNESS, she's grown to be such an amazing photographer. I kept wondering why she would stop to adjust the curtains, adjust her camera, adjust the lights...we even waited for the clouds to pass by because she mentioned how it would affect my pictures. I was and still am blown away on the entire photo shoot. Oh, before I continue.... Tiffany managed to hire the best of the best when it comes to hair and make-up. Ana and Billy are truly one of a kind and I honestly wanted to bundle them up and take them home with me. Not only did they make me look flawless but the nicest people I've ever met in that line of business. Their technique, their "customer service" was out of this world. I can't wait to be able to hire them again for another event. I've never felt so beautiful. Thank you both! Ok, back to Tiffany Tagle Photography - even though she's my sister, I can honestly say that, that photo shoot was the best photography experience I've ever had in my entire life! When we started, I can't help but share how nervous I was..yes, I was nervous but when the camera started, she took off her "Sister Hat" and it was business. I followed her lead and felt at ease. Ladies - this was the best decision I've ever made. I set the date back in January and never worked harder in my life to look the best I could possibly look with exercising, participating in races and eating healthy. I couldn't wait to give my husband the Book of Me for our anniversary and last week I did and his jaw dropped!!! I have a feeling he's going to send Tiffany on a cruise around the world for the job well done! :) Thank you Tiffany! Thank you so much for a day that I'll never forget. Considering that I had taken the day off work and had to wake up pretty early since I was doing my own hair and makeup, I was pretty upset about having to push back the photos till later in the day. Ms. Tagle suggested we arrange to try to meet at 4 or 5 in the afternoon. It's SXSW weekend and getting hotter and hotter as the day progresses and she wants to meet downtown during the worst time possible, seriously?!? It didn't help matters that my fiancé had specifically taken the morning off and had to go into work at the time she wanted to reschedule. Thanks to modern technology, I found out through facebook Ms. Tagle had spent the night before at SXSW till early in the morning and had the audacity to post status updates on her whereabouts. In others words, she lied to me on why she wasn't able to make our appointment. I immediately canceled our appointment and requested she refund my deposit. Photographers are a dime a dozen in this town and Ms. Tagle caused me a lot of stress and unneeded anxiety during an already stressful time. Save yourself the trouble and look for a professional and reliable photographer who can make this a joyful experience.

It was October 11, 2013 when I officially ruined Christmas…read more I had been planning since the beginning of the summer to get boudoir photos taken and surprise Hubs for the holidays this year. The problem is that when it comes to surprises, my brain goes into four-year-old-mode and my mouth becomes about the size of Dallas. I. CAN'T. HELP. IT. In the months leading up to photo shoot day, I asked Hubs EVERYDAY (again, think four-year-old-mode) if he wanted to know what his Christmas gift was going to be. Every time, he would firmly reply, "No, I like waiting. I want to be surprised." Well, after much anticipation, shoot day did finally come. I tried my damndest to keep my mouth shut. I made up that I was attending a salon/spa Yelp event...at 8am on a Saturday...carrying a big duffel bag...so that was why I was going to come back with my hair and make up done. I know, SUPER fishy. I'm a terrible liar. But that kid is so trusting and all he said was, "Have fun!" My experience with the ladies of deBoudoir Austin was awesome from the moment that I stepped into the studio until the moment that I left after choosing photos. Rachel Leigh was so helpful when I was shopping for lingerie, and she skillfully infused my fine, flat hair with the kind of volume that any southern lady would be envious of. When I was all ready, Alina took over the reins, and I can honestly say that I have not met a more talented photographer. Photography is an art- some people have the gift to do it well and some people don't. I'm pretty sure this lady could even make my dog (no offense, Lilly) look like she belongs in Playboy. The last person who I worked with was the manager, Rachel. She was incredibly down to earth and easy going, and her input was very valuable when it came down to going through the 130+ beautiful photos and choosing my favorites. So this journey began with four year old Ann, and trust me, it ends with four year old Ann as well. After I finally chose the photos that I didn't want to live without, I left the studio- giddy as shit- to meet Hubs for dinner. I WAS going to at least make myself wait to print the photos and put them in an album or scrapbook before I presented them to him, but...umm...yeah, that didn't happen. I consulted with my staff (i.e., me, myself, and a 750 mL bottle of beer) and made the executive decision to pull up the photos online (you have full rights to the photos that you purchase) and show him that night. He was speechless. "Best present you've ever received?" "Um. Yes. By FAR." Fast forward a day later, and I'm now having the photos developed and will start physically putting together the gift today. I'm probably going to end up handing that over early too. Big surprise, huh? So it isn't even Halloween yet and Hubs has pretty much already gotten his Christmas present for this year. He doesn't seem to mind THAT much though.

From the moment I walked in the doors, all the girls were so excited about each outfit and were there to help me put things together. I was handed a glass of wine and sat in the prep chair for my hair and makeup with Kylie...which turned out FLAWLESS!!! If you have the resources I definitely recommend getting hair and make up. Make up at the very least.....makes your pictures so much bolder. I asked for a bolder natural look and that is exactly what I got...not over done. And lashes helped :) i was made to feel so comfortable during the photo shoot. Everything felt natural and easy (and it was proven when I saw my final product). The studio has so many different angles and Alina knows how to work all of them into your outfit and energy. It was nice to have a one on one with Alina. I debated on bringing my sister or best friend but I truly believe it is best to go by yourself. After all, this is and should be for yourself and you will be less likely to hold back. I cannot express enough how easy going and professional Alina is. She will play music and fill your wine glass (appropriately ;)) to help you feel at home. When I went back to view my photos I was astonished. I had never done anything like this before and I looked like I had been doing it for years. The shots and editing are impeccable and timeless. They are definitely VERY pricey......sort of have to think of it as buying wedding photos, but they are so worth it. Every shot is gorgeous and there was no way I was going to just be able to pick a few. Luckily, they have a payment plan you can do in 4 months or less.....totally worth it. I do not regret it. Side note, I added 30 minutes (extra $$ but I had done the groupon so it wasnt a big deal) and I ended up doing to fine art shoot. This is a totally nude shoot but all in black and white and is the most beautiful art I have ever seen....and its me!!! Literally breath taking. Every woman should do it if they can! They are so soft and artistic and capture the most intimate and beautiful curves. I am not one that is shy about being nude but I was nervous about posing and afraid my face would look awkward (seeing as Im a casual/goofy lady.....not girly or "sexy" if you will). I was almost in tears seeing these photos. Amazing work. I have no problem giving these ladies 5 stars...I wish there were more. My only con is the price of pics......but who cares.......when you see the outcome youll understand. Thank you Kylie, Alina, and Rachel.....such a beautiful job you ladies do. Ive managed to get 5 ladies to sign up just minutes after my shoot ;)

Unfortunately, her presence on the wedding day and the final product were very different from what was advertised. She seemed distant and distracted throughout the day, barely engaged with us, and did not take time to get to know us or offer direction. Several key moments--especially the large group photo and our couple portraits--were rushed, poorly composed, and lacked basic guidance. Important details were missed, lighting was harsh, and many images were unflattering or unusable. When we raised our concerns respectfully, they were dismissed as "personal preference," and requests for reasonable edits or a fair resolution were denied. We paid $350 per hour, including a full hour set aside for getting-ready photos with my sisters. Darby did not pose us or provide any direction, and those photos turned out so badly they're honestly crushing to look at. The best photos we have from our wedding were taken by friends on their iPhones, which has been incredibly embarrassing--we've had to ask guests if they have anything usable to share. Her profile and portfolio show one level of care and quality, but what she delivered was very different. We only have a handful of usable photos from the gallery. I wish I had taken the one negative review on Zola more seriously--it ended up being spot on. Paying full price for what felt like amateur-level effort has been heartbreaking. You can never re-shoot your wedding photos.
