Came to the mall around 1030 to look around Macys , since Torrid is Supposed to open at 11:00, so at 11:00 I start heading to torrid and get to the door and they have a sign up now saying they will be opening at NOON starting today . Well they should it updates their website. I just basically wasted my time going to the mall, the only reason I even went was to return something to Torrid and also buy some more clothes at torrid! I am a long time Torrid shopper and actually worked at a different location years ago. I also typically have a lot of patience and generally low expectations while shopping, having worked in the industry. That being said, I'm never going back to this location. I went in looking for a particular intimate item and I noticed that they had literally one lingerie item on the rack. I asked the manager (tallish, blonde) if they had any more and she responded with "no, that's all we have. You should buy a little something and then take the survey on the receipt and tell them to send us more lingerie!" I kind of laughed and then asked her and the other employee if they knew of any stores around that sold similar items and the manager literally told me to go to ANOTHER Torrid an hour away. The employee was helpful and suggested Lane Bryant but was quickly chastised by the manager who stated "we don't work at Torrid to send people to Lane Bryant." The fact that this manager cares so little about her customers as people (rather than dollar signs) is disheartening. I mean we're all women just trying to find clothes, be nice, it's not hard. read more

Torrid is an extremely fashionable and trendy clothing boutique for plus sized young gals from teens to thirty five. Sort of like a Forever 21, Level X, Charlotte Russe everything is flashy, spicy, sassy and well put together. Even the mannequins are full in size. Although Torrid can be compared to other plus sized Lane Bryant and Ashley Stewart, Torrid is spicy, flashy, sassy, overly feminine and everything but matronly. Its more than just colors, it's the cut, style and design. Casual, work, denim, shoes, tops, bottoms, dresses, jewelry, hosiery and even lingerie are available at Torrid. Having been to Torrid on several occasions, I must say that I have been really disappointed with both the selection and quality of their merchandise. Being a seamstress myself, I'm appalled at the poor workmanship and cheap materials in just about every garment I have looked at in the Torrid store.... ESPECIALLY since the prices are so high. They seem to be more interested in fashions that are "trendy" than in clothing that is flattering to a plus size figure. I'm all for being in "style", but not at the cost of looking good.....if that makes sense. Also, why in the world would a woman who is a size 12 or 14 shop at Torrid? They can find similar styles at Hot Topic for 10-20% less. Since when is a size 12 considered "PLUS-Size"??? Since the store carries these "non-plus-size" garments, it leaves less space for a greater selection of true Plus-size clothes. One thing you definitely have to keep in mind is that the clothing is sized for JR PLUS. This means that they are made to fit a figure that is more straight up and down, than the classic hourglass figure. Bottom line is, if I'm looking for something that falls into more of the "costume" category, I have more luck at Torrid than if I'm looking for clothing for real life and work. read more

So, here's the thing... 3.5 stars. Being a stylish big girl, I happen to know where all the spots with stylish plus sized gear is, and Torrid is my fail-safe for when looking for stylish clothes in a pinch. Torrid is owned by Hot Topic, and suffers from the same problems you can expect from Hot Topic stores, the merchandise mix is insane with no rhyme or reason, the quality of Torrid's own private label leaves something to be desired. The quality is on par with Forever 21 but at higher prices. You can expect most pieces you purchase to start falling apart after a handfull of washes. Torrid's private label lingerie and bras don't fit as well as pieces from Lane Bryant. While the price is cheaper on these items, the construction of their undergarments are poor, the quality of the materials is cheap, and they simply aren't worth the money. I have however found a few pairs of adorable ruffled burlesque panties here....however, most of the proportion on the clothing here is off, the armholes on most garments end up being huge, so I have to alter them myself, the bust measurements of most pieces aren't accurate to the size on the label, and don't get me started on the weird unexpected lengths on skirts and pants. The customer service at this store leaves you wanting, on every visit I've had to seek out employees to open fitting rooms for me after holding a stack full of garments, waited in long lines, and had to navigate through a store of overstuffed racks of mishmashed clothes. Still, when looking for a cute top for a night out, I know I can visit and find what I'm looking for, but I don't expect stellar customer service or quality. I know I can find reasonably priced leggings and tights here, and a huge selection of trendy belts and accessories. read more

Torrid is owned by Hot Topic and sells a wide range of clothing styles. From club wear, to work wear you can find pretty much anything your heart desires here. They have cute stuff for when you wanna go out to a club, and nice dresses for special events. The one thing I don't like about Torrid is the quality of their clothes. I have had some of my Lane Bryant clothes for several years and it still looks brand new. Most of my Torrid clothes are falling apart even though I haven't had them that long. The price points are slightly higher than those at Lane Bryant and their bras don't fit as well. Still, this is a good place to get fun clothes if you are a bigger girl. read more

SHOP WISELY AND KEEP IT CLASSY! This store largely carries trendy items for the larger lady but if you look closely, you will find a couple of great basic pieces that you can actually add to your wardrobe. Remember that not everything that comes in your size is appropriate for you to wear. When shopping, don't feel that you have to settle for anything because there are so many options available if you are willing to take your time and shop carefully. Accessories and sweaters are always a great way to add a trendy touch without going overboard, (a cute hat, a maxi sweater and a cute pair of boots). This store had nice basic sweater dresses, button up tops and jeans that are great wardrobe pieces and can be styled in a variety of ways. Focus on natural fabrics that will last a while,maintain their shape and can be laundered without falling apart. The store also carries accessories like boots, jewelry and hats. When it comes to dressing tastefully, remember that less is more! read more

I have called your company on several occasions from Germany because my orders will not go through. I am given the same excuse about the billing address not being correct, card number not correct, card not verified, credit card rejecting/declining orders. All of these are simply excuses. I have ordered twice for about $1,200 in November alone. I have attempted two additional orders for about $600 each. I have spent countless hours on the phone from Germany. I have written emails. I have verified everything is correct several times and have spoken to several supervisors. Yet here I sit in Germany with no one being able to explain what the problem us. Apparently even your corporate office cannot say why I am still not able to order. I really like Torrid, but feel Torrid does not care about my business or the time I have wasted trying to order. I am told no one can call me back because I live in Germany, yet I am expected to continually call you. Very unacceptable customer service. I live on a base overseas. I see on your site you deliver to APO addresses, yet I cannot order. This is by far the absolute worse customer service I have ever received from a company. I have shopped Lane Bryant for many years, but like the clothing much better at Torrid. Unfortunately I must now take my business back to Lane Bryant where I can get sone help. I have already lost Heute cash due to these issues with no mention of getting tgese back. This location was my go to place until it shut down a few years back. I then frequented the Snellville location and on occasion, the Buford location. Today was my first time back to the North Point location after it reopened. I'm beyond irritated and disappointed!!! There was no one in the store except the 3 ladies working. They were all sitting and talking when I came in. One said a quick "hi" and then ignored me like I wasn't even there. I attempted to ask for help finding a particular item and I was waved off into the general direction of were it might be. Uuuhhm... Really? I saw a dress I liked but couldn't find my size. I wasn't about to go disturb their conversation again. Maybe I'm just used to the girls in Snellville going above and beyond. I was so irritated at being treated like I was an inconvenience that I put the items in my hands down and walked out. My problem with Torrid is the quality. The clothes just fall apart. I have several shirts that have ripped, pants with missing buttons, and jewelry that has lost it's coating and it's dangly bits. I was so thrilled when they started carrying bras that I went out and bought 3. Here I am, 3 months later, and all three are falling apart. Underwires sticking out, straps fraying, and whatever else can go wrong with a bra. I emailed them, and their response was that since my purchase was made over 45 days ago, there was nothing they could do, but they were very sorry. I'm sorry, too! I'm not going to buy any more clothes from a company that can only guarantee them up to 45 days! That's ridiculous. read more

Not may favorite Torrid location but make the trip if Kennesaw is a little out of the way. The customer service here is not as friendly as the other location and the store is smaller so it does not seem as if they have more of a selection. The Torrid North Point Mall location closed. I'm not sure when it did but as of today October 11th 2014 it's no longer in North Point Mall. I was very sad to find out this news. The locations that are still open are The Cumberland Mall location , Town Center Mall , Locust Grove Outlet and the Snellville location. I absolutely love Torrid! read more

I have never had so much fun shopping for clothes! Normally I just buy clothes because I need something to cover my body, I never really found anything I loved or thought looked cute. At Torrid, everything fit and everything was cute and stylish, not old lady looking like all the other plus size clothes you see. This place is my new addiction. The girl who works there, Jennifer, is the BEST. She was so awesome. That is the best customer service experience I've ever had! My only complaint is that it is a little pricey, but for the chance to have some clothes I actually love for once in my life, it's worth it. read more
