Steven Torres of Torres Team Real Estate was truly an answered prayer for me. I had interviewed two other real estate agents, but neither one felt like the right fit. When I met Steven, I knew right away he was the person I wanted to help me. He was kind, patient, and genuinely cared about what was best for me. I never felt pressured or rushed. I had lived in my two-story Oceanside home for 27 years, but it was no longer practical for me. Steven helped me sell it and buy my new home in the Oceana senior community. He negotiated for me to remain in my old home for an additional month at no cost, giving me the time I needed to move without rushing. He also helped coordinate trusted vendors to prepare my home and make the move easier. Even though escrow closed several months ago, Steven still stops by from time to time to check on me and see how I'm doing. I am very happy in my new home and so thankful that I found him. I would gladly recommend Steven to anyone who needs a kind and trustworthy agent to help them buy, sell, or downsize. read more

If you're a first-time home buyer, the entire real estate searching, researching and purchasing process can be daunting, but my partner and I were so fortunate to find Steven Torres and Torres Team Realty! From the initial call, to the virtual meeting, we could tell we were in good hands. Steven is a highly experienced and knowledgeable agent in the region, extremely competent and most importantly, exceptionally patient and kind; and truly cares about you and your partner's wants/needs. We could tell he was here for the process and he helped us through every single step of the way. Steven truly listened to us and he was able to narrow down what we needed and wanted in our first home - and that is no easy feat, especially working with first time home buyers in a seller's market. Steven connected us to this (first) property and made the complicated process of buying a home, so easy. As this was our first real estate transaction/purchasing experience, we were learning and in awe of the entire home buying process (yes, it is a lot of back and forth, paperwork and time), but because we had the right agent and team providing exceptional communication, everything was seamless, (honestly, we loved the transparency), concise, simplified and made so easy. Steven and his team will explain all of the details, clarify any confusion and answer every single one of your questions. Seriously, save yourself the trouble of sifting through people and have the peace of mind in knowing that an experienced quality agent and team will have your back. I strongly recommend Steven and the Torres Team. Definitely made fans out of us and we hope to continue to keep in touch with the Torres Team Realty! read more

Steve and Linda are a wonderful team, and we made an excellent choice engaging them for our condo search and purchase a few years ago. They are knowledgeable and experienced. We were hesitant to make rash decisions in a hot housing market, and Steve was very patient in meeting with us over the course of multiple weekends to view properties in the north county coastal area. When we finally found the right property, Steve was great throughout the purchase process. Issues that came up unexpectedly with the seller were handled in a professional and efficient manner. We have kept in touch over the years, and would not hesitate to use them again for real estates transactions or recommend this awesome team to others! read more

Steven and Linda are a great team! They were both extremely helpful in the selling of our home and we'd use them again in the future.

Steven put in the time and hard work it took to help us zero in on what we wanted to buy in a new area that we were not familiar with. It took months of looking and Steven personally was there to show us homes, answer our questions, and represent us well. His advice was critical in securing the winning bid during a very strong market. We feel so fortunate to have Steven on our team! read more

My husband and I found Steve randomly from realtor dot com. We could have gone with a bunch of others because of course everyone has a realtor they think is the best. Within seconds of meeting Steve I knew he was an honest guy, and that's so important! We ended up sticking with him for our home buying process, and we're so glad we did. Steve gave us his honest opinion and helped us through this VERY stressful process. If you're looking for someone who will help you stay within your budget, educate you in this process, and not let you get in over your head, this is the Realtor for you. read more

This was my 7th personal home real estate transaction and without a doubt it was the best brokerage experience of them all. Steve has all the qualities necessary for a successful real estate outcome: he is a pleasure to deal with, he's an excellent negotiator and has years of knowledge of the North County market. We are from the other coast buying a 2nd home to escape the New England winters as well as spend time with our grand children and we worked with Steve virtually as well as in person. Steve and his team, along with his recommended service providers worked seamlessly to find, negotiate and close on an ideal property. He provided the spot-on guidance we needed to navigate the incredibly fast moving market here to find the right place at the right price. I wouldn't work with anyone else. read more

Thank God Steve was able to guide us through the chaotic, scary world of home buying! He made the whole process go smoothly. With my family's crazy schedule, Steve still managed to find the time to be there for us. I felt bad for the guy because between my wife and me, we probably sent him a thousand emails and called hundreds of times with all of our concerns and inquiries. Nevertheless, Steve still kept his cool with us and responded promptly and professionally :) Bottom line: STEVE IS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

I have nothing, but only amazing things to say about Steven Torres and his team. For first time home buyers, the process can be a bit daunting, but with Steven it felt like a breeze. He made everything so easy! We found Steven to be a very patient listener, super understanding of our needs and always there to answer our questions promptly (phone calls, text messages and emails). Throughout the home buying process, we felt that he put our interest before his own - which probably is THE most desirable quality in a realtor. Steven was not looking to make a sale, his primary interest was to help us land our dream home. We never felt pushed or hurried through any tours or decisions. He is extremely approachable and flexible to work with. Simply put, he is AWESOME! I highly recommend Steven Torres for all your real estate needs. read more

Steven goes above and beyond for you. We had a great experience with him, we always wanted to move out of Orange County and buy a place in San Diego, but being so new to the area it was hard to find good neighborhoods with good schools, price etc... Until we met Steven in one of our house searches. He quickly did a search of all the houses in the area with all of our must haves and price that we can afford!... His quick, honest and loyal person. Steven was a pleasure to work with. He focused on what I desired in a home and sought diligently to fulfill my dreams. I am very picky, but through his efforts he finally found a place that fit my needs. He either answered my calls immediately or returned my calls in a timely manner. I look forward to working with Mr. Torres with any future purchases. read more

My wife and I were lucky enough to buy our first home through Steven. He was knowledgeable and patient in explaining the steps of the purchase as we encountered them and made sure we were comfortable with everything that took place. Steven was easy to reach and addressed our concerns quickly, taking care of any issues we had in a timely manner. He was also honest and straightforward with us, giving us the information we needed to make the best decisions for our family, and his experience in the area was invaluable in evaluating the quality of the neighborhood, schools, and ease of access. Steven handled two transactions for me. He sold my home for me so fast that I didn't even need to list it. He then helped me find and purchase the perfect new home for me and negotiated a very fair purchasing price. He is very knowledgeable and professional, in addition to being a very nice guy. He was always responsive to each and every contact by me and if he couldn't answer a phone call, he would text me and promise to return my call as soon as he was available.; and he always followed through. No surprises We first engaged Steve Torres (Team) 3 1/2 years ago when buying a condo in the North County area. Then, as was our experience just recently, we were pleased with the attention to detail and solid follow through on our purchase. All issues were addressed directly and quickly, making for a painless purchase process. We just recently purchased a second condo and again called on Steve to handle the process. Demand for the property was noticeably high, so getting just the right offer in, along with positioning ourselves as the best possible buyer for the property was key. Again, Steve and his team were there for solid direction. We won the bidding and flew through the on-line signature process very quickly, arriving at a closing day that was virtually anticlimactic. As we are spending our first full day in our new home, it is with great pleasure and satisfaction that we can recommend Steven Torres. Looking back over our entire relationship with Steve, we could not have asked more of a Realtor. Beginning with our early stages of "looking" at homes in the San Diego area, Steve prepared a search report focused on our desires, which showed us existing and new-listing homes within our criteria as they came on the market. In this area, he did not inundate us with homes out of our price range or out of our desired area of San Diego County. He regularly sent us these reports with houses just within our desired criteria. As we got "more serious" about finding a home, Steven introduced us to a wonderful mortgage broker who helped us pre-qualify for the loan we needed for the price and location of home we desired. With Steven's home reports and other internet resources we found a number of homes we were interested in viewing. Every time we contacted Steven, he was more than willing to show us these homes as well as others he felt we might wish to consider. Even when he was on a family vacation, he arranged to have another Realtor show us a couple of homes we "really" wanted to see immediately. He also maintained email contact with us throughout his family vacation. Once we found "our new home", Steven negotiated on our behalf and provided us counseling to arrive at a mutually desirable purchase price for our new home. Once this was established, he continued to support us through the entire "closing" process. Small things liked always responding to emails quickly, never being too busy for our needs, and just taking the time to drive out to our new home so he could hand us the keys to our new home, are just some of the things that make Steven Torres a great Realtor. Steven is a true professional with all the qualities a great Realtor should have. We are very fortunate we found him. Dennis & Kumiko read more

We just had the best experience searching for our new home. We were unfamiliar with the area and needed to see several homes over a period of months to feel confident this was where we wanted to settle. Steven was so patient and directed us to the best neighborhood. Perfect location and the home has everything we were looking for. There was never any pressure to make an offer. He wanted us to be certain it was the perfect home. I highly recommend Steven if you are searching for or listing a home. He is extremely professional and personable. If you end up buying a home that Steven has listed, make sure you get all the keys, garage clickers, etc. before you close. We have been in our house for just over a week and don't have the additional garage clicker as well as we're holding onto some of the seller's personal items we found after moving in. Our agent has tirelessly contacted Steven to rectify this situation we're currently in. Steven is VERY slow to get back to your messages, not to mention he went on a 2 week cruise (in the final 2 weeks of closing) without giving someone else on his team a heads up on what needs to happen before closing. Miraculously we closed on time. If I could put less than one star here from that experience alone, I would. I'm sorry to blast your yelp, but this is gone on too long... read more

Steven Torres was amazing during my house hunting process. From the time I first began looking for a home to the closing of the purchase Steven was there with insight, guidance, expertise, and empathy. I am extremely happy with the experience Steven made buying a home for myself and my wife. I had originally contacted Steven on a Friday morning to see his earliest availability and he catered to MY schedule every single time. He was available that same day and at the time I was free. Due to my wifes schedule we needed to meet on a weekend at one point and Steven was more than happy to accomodate us and walk us through the home. Steven is a very punctual individual and not once was I ever waiting on him. Customer service to me goes beyond a smile and a hand shake, Steven does an excellent job and goes above and beyond what most realtors would do and with my wife and I we always felt like he put us first. When all was said and done we closed with a 30 day escrow and absolutely zero issues. On a scale of 1-10 I would rate Steven a 10, which encompasses his knowledge, sincerity, and customer service. I would highly recommend using Steven when purchasing a home and will definitely be using him again if the occasion should ever arise. -Steven S. read more

One of Steven's great assets is his patience and his resolve to find that elusive "perfect" house for his clients. We began using Steven since our initial plan was to reside in North County; but after a few months we switched gears and began looking in the city of San Diego (we ended up in La Mesa). To make matters more difficult, the vast majority of our house hunting was done from out of town using real estate web sites to find and qualify homes. Some weeks we had Steven running all over the place! And even though I'm sure we tested his patience at times, he never batted an eye. As ones who were new to the market, Steven was also a valuable resource on all sorts of real estate and neighborhood information. Steven comes highly recommended from us! read more

We had been searching for homes on line for a few weeks and "liked" one and within 5 minutes received a call from Steven. He asked all the right questions to learn what we were looking for and what was important to us. By the next morning, we had several listings to peruse and within a week we had lined up a list of showings. By that weekend we were putting in an offer! It was obvious he listened because we had several home we really like, but one in particular we fell in love with and it's now our home. Steven and his team made the entire process seem painless. He throughly prepared us for every step and accommodated our every need. There he was with Linda at our home presenting us with our key with the most lovely house warming gift with something special for every member of the family including our dog, Sandy. I highly recommend Steven and his team if you are in the market for a new home, the relationship does not end at the sale, we consider Steve and Linda our very first neighbors and friends in Oceanside!d. Steve is not just a superior realtor, but just an all around great person! He was very patient in helping us find the right home for our family. Steven was straight forward and has a lot of experience in the North SD area. His trained eye will help you avoid surprises while searching for a new home. I actually know Steve personally. Worked with his Sister-in-Law in past. So when I started looking for a place to own, I remembered he was in the Real Estate game.
