Extremely poor construction techniques- we are forced to redo much of the project and the contractor would not return to fix and or complete

My dryer broke and with a family of 6 I needed a new one quickly! Tobin was able to pick up a new washer and dryer for me and install it all in one day. Plus he helped me move my old washer in the basement so I can use both washers! I can't thank him enough. He helped fix a broken door handle, toilet, broken screen off door and various other small pesky things I have been putting off. So impressed and it's nice to know I have someone to call when the to-do list gets too lengthy to handle.

Within two weeks of hiring them, the team replaced my roof and installed new gutters and downspouts as an added bonus. Their responsiveness and attention to detail are rare--I wouldn't hesitate to call them again.

We called Ashton in November of 2023 for a bid of all new windows, new siding, and new roof for…read moreboth our garage and house. He gave us an estimate and we signed the contract in January of 2024. We read our contract and ashton wasn't going to do the jambs and trim of any of the windows (we have 11 windows). We had to call around to other contractors to finish his job, there was not a single contractor that would take the job. So we were brutally honest with him and said we cant get anyone to finish YOUR JOB, he said he doesn't like to go in people's houses. To properly install any window or door you need to go inside the house to shim. He eventually agreed to do all jambs and trim. He and his crew started our roof in March of 2024 it was "completed" in a day and a half. We were mostly impressed by the quickness. We arrived home after work and saw that we had box vents placed at the top of our peak. We have a knee wall so the vents should have been placed in that area, however his crew placed them in insulation and we had to have them take them out and patch them and put them in the correct spot. His workers also cut our roof for the ridge vent, just shingled over it, but never installed it till months later when we pointed it out. Fast forward to April when they started the siding and windows. They removed all the siding. My brother-in-law wanted to use our siding, so he brought a trailer and they were supposed to place ALL the siding on that. They didn't even give him usable pieces, they threw all the usable pieces away. So my brother-in-law that lives over an hour away wasted his time and gas for nothing. They started taking windows out, one by one and each window we had to had to be redone....because there was no insulation. We live in the Midwest, how in the hell do you not insulate windows? Everything they did had to be redone because nothing was correct, we had to babysit every step of the way. This was obviously the biggest project Ashton had ever taken on. We had to remind ashton of single thing along the way, which also meant they had to keep redoing things along the way. We were incredibly frustrated because we were never a priority to him! he was so busy taking on other jobs. He barely showed up, he knew we were mad that this project was stretched out for so long, but didn't really care. He talked about all his guys and how he puts them in the spots he needs them the most. But honestly he doesn't have a big team. He has 2 main guys. He talks a big talk and promises you the world, but doesn't really come through on that. Ashton says if it says he's gonna do something, he's gonna do it, but that's all talk. Ashton told us that our project would be done by early may. We weren't completed till mid June. If he would focus on one job that would help, but he doesn't! He shows up with materials and leaves, we rarely saw him actually get his hands dirty. He's very young and lacks the experience, our house looks great! But that's inspite of him. We would take 2 steps forward and 10 steps back. Ashton does not communicate well, you have to hound him and then you'll get the answer you need. We had a return of items and ABC just showed up we had no idea what needed to go and what needed to stay. He is too occupied with other things and he gets very scatter-brained. His crew is amazing, but he is a very poor business owner. Ashton has a bit of a temper. he was installing one of our windows and and broke the middle molding of the window. he did reapply it but after that happened we were scared to talk to him about anything. He said he told his crew to be careful around our shrubs and plants but they didn't care. They completed killed 5 plants, busted several limbs off of another. Killed our grass in the front yard and back yard. Zero respect for your property. We have very expensive stamped concrete and he said he didn't want them working on it. Yet he put wood putty on the window trim and got it all over our concrete...and it's still there and we still cant get it off!! It's been 6 months that our job "completed" the siding on our garage is falling off, but we had to fix that ourself because he's not coming back. He said he was going to come back to trim our back door...but once again...not a priority! Ashton doesn't guarantee his work! When it comes to Construction you know what you want done to you're house, and what you don't. we told ashton what we wanted he argued with us, that we never agreed it. If you are a good business owner the proper method is, the customer is always right! Especially when it is THEIR HOUSE!!!

At our first meeting, time was taken to throughly discuss ideas & concepts... possible concerns were noted... and firm dates were made for follow-ups. Anthony Lamore and his crew were always transparent about what was being done - and when - and were 100% reliable in all their committments. Getting permits in order was navigated swiftly, patiently, and with good humor (La Crosse was still figuring out the required permitting for ADUs). Communication was outstanding. When construction started, the various components of foundation work, plumbing, electrical work, and building contruction were woven together seamlessly. Construction - from the foundation, to finishing the inside with our requested lighting, appliances, & plumbing fixtures, was beyond impressive. 'Definitely solid, quality work, with thoughtful attention to details that wouldn't even be on the radar of many companies. They told us, the kids, the project would be 300k, it would be done in August 2025 and take a month to build. After all of that, Anthony and Austin went out to our parents house and had them write a check for $250,000.00 and sign an open ended contract for $750,000.00 where they have $500,000.00 after only doing the concrete. To that point, they had performed literally no work. What honest contractor would ever ask that of a customer. Our parents had no idea about the pay schedule. Needless to say, they were disappointed and felt taken advantage of. They asked if we could help them get of the contract. When we informed Anthony that our parents have a POA, and that we want the project cancelled, he acted ok with it. We also asked, per my parents wishes, he no longer contact them as we would deal with things from here. He said, he would transfer funds that day and would have the an itemized bill for us the following day. After saying ok, against everyone's wishes, he drove to our parents house to try to resell them the project. He didn't bring an itemized break down for the permit costs or the little bit of gravel work they did. He didn't bring them a check. Nothing. He just told them that he would send them their money "soon." My brother and I again asked about the breakdown and the timeframe for the return of our parents money because "soon" didn't seem appropriate given the situation. Then he proceeded to threaten us. Can you imagine someone stealing from your family and then threatening you with legal action? My guess is he already spent the money. There were lots of red flags along the way and we ignored them. I hope you don't. Please don't let him take your parents money. Hes probably out bidding another job to pay for the last one right now......Anthony Lamore is a crook. I have attached the "contract" for everyone to see
