Very impressive painting being done on the 150 yr old "Library Bar" building in the national…read moreHistoric district of downtown La Crosse.The other day when i was stuck in my building trying to fix my ice machine i observed the Big river Painting owner pull up in his truck(w biz logo on door) at sun up prepping then painting the intricate trim & exterior of the historic building til 9pm in super hot/humid weather then showing up the next morning at sun up to get set up and continue the important restoration work done in our downtown which is a focal point for the community and for the tourists who always enjoy looking at the amazing work done by the master craftsmen of the 1870's as these 21st century master craftsmen are doing work 150 yrs later to preserve the gorgeous old soft brick buildings from the pioneer era of our community. Next time i need work done on my 1874 built building i will be calling big River painting & hope like hell they will be able to fit me in to their (for sure) busy schedule.
