From the very beginning, this company took advantage of what they knew was not an urgent situation. I was traveling abroad and my wife alone at the house was told the problem was very critical and required immediate attention, creating pressure to move forward without being given a clear explanation of the work. After the first visit, the technician spent less than two hours at my house and left. Only after I complained, sent photos showing that the repair was very poorly executed (see pictures), and asked for an explanation of the work, did they tell me that it had only been a "temporary patch" (something that was never explained to us beforehand). The story kept changing after every complaint we made, which completely destroyed my confidence in the company. They eventually, they sent us a breakdown just saying parts$650, labor $1350 and a month later returned to "finish" the repair, and when they did the crew was at my house for, again, about two hours. I have no issue paying a fair labor charge for a work well performed (was not the case), BUT, since it was our fault accepting that, I really questioned being charged $650 for parts when the primary replacement part was a standard galvanized gooseneck roof vent that retails for roughly $80, along with some underlayment and sealant. Even after asking, I still have not received a satisfactory explanation or itemized breakdown of the material costs. What disappointed me the most was John's attitude when I asked reasonable questions all we got were threatens of lien and etc, Instead of providing documentation and answering my concerns professionally, I felt intimidated and pressured into accepting the invoice without explanation. A reputable contractor should have no problem providing an itemized invoice and explaining their charges. I've met my share of dishonest people over the years, but this experience ranks among the worst. If a company becomes defensive or hostile simply because a customer asks for an explanation of a bill, that's a major red flag. Do yourself a favor, get multiple estimates before hiring this company. Ask for an itemized quote, ask for proof of the work performed, and don't let anyone pressure you by exaggerating the urgency of a repair. The attached photos show the work performed and the replacement vent that was installed. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company.

I always get a detailed (and understandable) report, usually with arial photos taken by drone. Work has always been done on time and professionally. Once repairs were made we've never had a problem in the same general area. Finally, Mike is the consummate professional. He is a true professional and gentleman. I cannot offer higher praise.

Today (Palm Sunday) we had a leak in the part of the roof Mike hadn't originally installed. I gingerly texted Mike to ask his advice. What I got back was well more than anything I could have expected. Mike called to tell me his supervisor, Travis, was already en route to our house. I then got a call from Travis saying he was twenty minutes out. 18 minutes later, he was at the door. He reviewed the leak inside, got his ladder and climbed up the roof and within ten minutes, was back down and showing me pictures of where he'd determined a dryer vent had let water in. Mike called me back to tell me he had a team he could send. Now. I told him it's Palm Sunday, I don't want to take your guys away from their families. Mike said, they are busy all week, this is my best chance to get this fixed. It won't take more than four hours. I agreed and within an hour, there they were at the door, ready to go. They cleared the tile, laid proper under layers - three layers in total. Then buttoned it all up again and were done within two and a half hours. I got a full set of pictures from Mike explaining every step of what was done. All this would be great on a weekday. But a Sunday? Palm Sunday? I am just in awe. From a customer perspective, it's like having a choice of hiring superheros like Mike and his team, or saying no thank you - I prefer the usual sheisters and snake oil salesmen that typically make up the roofing business. You can spin the wheel and take your chances - but for me - I just feel damn lucky to have found someone who provides this level of service and this quality of work all for a really modest price.

FQR came as a highly regarded referral from close friends who also used FQR to install their new roof within the last 2 years. German Duarte the Founder & President and Deborah Haase the Office Administrator were outstanding throughout the entire process. German and Deborah were always accessible and very responsive to all of my questions and concerns via email, text and telephone. I went with the Boral Barcelona 900 tiles (Chestnut Burnt color) and CertainTeed Flintlastic SA CAP Commercial underlayment. FQR is fully licensed, insured and provides a 10-year workmanship warranty against leaks on sloped roofs. From start to finish, FQR took under 2 weeks to complete my job which included previous roof tear off, underlayment and new tile installation and township inspections. The FQR crew was on-time starting no later than 8am and finishing around 6pm each and everyday on my project until it was completed. They did an excellent job of cleaning up my and my neighbor's property at the conclusion of their work each day. German and FQR are very transparent, no hidden charges and extremely communicative if job must be postponed for a day or 2 due to rainy weather. The entire FQR team deserves a 5 star rating. I highly recommend you consider FQR if you are in the market for a new roof for your home!

We chose Florida Quality Roofing wisely and carefully after interviewing more than 5 companies and could not have asked for a better experience than we received from them. Most companies will send a salesman out to talk to you but with FQR the OWNER comes out! German (the owner ) is far from a high powered salesman, he's about as mellow as one can get!! I like that, I don't like being pressured. He discussed the different types of metal roofs that were available and what he recommended and what he didn't. We formulated a plan and within a week German provided the cost and said our roofing material was available. We went with the plan and a month later we had a beautiful brand new roof. I learned a lot about metal roofs. They are labor intensive, much more complicated than asphalt shingle roofs. You really need a skilled crew of workers to install a metal roof correctly. Florida Quality Roofing has been around for a very long time, rare for roofing companies, they know what they're doing. I would hire them for any kind of roof.
