Buyer beware. HAMILTON BROS ROOFING - Pompano Beach. I hired Patrick Hamilton in June 2023 to repair a roof leak in the master bathroom of my Coronado model home in The Bridges, Delray Beach. I paid $2,650 for the job. Less than two years later (May 2025), water started pouring from the exact same spot again. When I called him back, he came out and quoted me another $2,650, claiming it was a different leak and that his work is only covered for one year. He also pointed out an unrelated area in my garage and tried to upsell me additional repairs for over $4,000 total. When I questioned why I should pay again for a problem that clearly wasn't fixed properly the first time, he simply repeated that he only offers a one-year warranty and "this is Florida, it rains a lot." I found this experience to be very disappointing and feel it reflects poor workmanship and questionable business practices. read more

Patrick was great to deal with. I initially submitted a quote inquiry through their website, but didn't get a response. Called the next day and he stated he hadn't gotten a notification and then immediately came to the house to provide a quote. UNETHICAL PRACTICES, BREACH OF CONTRACT, INFLATED PRICES, FRAUDULENT LIEN ATTEMPT I wish I had good things to say about my experience dealing with this company but unfortunately they are in violation of their own contract agreement with us. In 2019, I was quoted $25,920.00 to replace the roof on my parent's house. In 2021, Patrick Hamilton stated that due to increase in costs, he stated had to increase the estimate by over 57%. Even though this was a huge increase compared to what we had been quoted before, Patrick seemed knowledgeable about working on barn styled roofs so I agreed to the $40,000.00 price. We paid $20,000.00 upon signing the contract. The balance of $20,000.00 was to be signed upon job completion. My parents signed the contract in May of 2021. They started working on the roof in the end of September and finished almost a month later. After the job was completed, the company is now demanding an additional $11,260.00 on top of the original agreed amount. Per the signed contract for the job, it states very clearly "Any alteration or deviation from above specifications involving extra costs will be executed only upon written orders" signed by Patrick Hamilton. It also states "You are authorized to do the work as specified. Payment will be made as outlined above" signed by my parents (amount $40,000.00). Hamilton Bros Roofing Co. did NOT notify my parents about any increase costs at any time nor did they ever receive authorization from them confirming any additional costs outside of the agreed upon price. Their attorney has reached out demanding payment and is even threatening to file a Lien on my parent's property. If they attempt this, I will be filing a countersuit for placing a Fraudulent lien on my family's home. Their practices are unethical and in clear violation of the signed contract agreement. read more

Being too busy or using the rainy season as an excuse to not take the time to provide an estimate or at least have a meaningful conversation with a potential new customer is weak. It gives the impression that you weren't interested in the job, and nothing else. I realize that a roofing contractor (or any business for that matter) is not able to control many things, but customer service is 100% within your control. We never spoke on the phone and you didn't take my calls after you left. Great company. I found a water mark on my bedroom ceiling after the first heavy rains in May 2020. I called Patrick who answered and told me he could respond the next day. Later that day he called me and said if I was home he could be there in 45 min, which he did. He looked at my roof and gave me an honest estimate. I had no idea the terrible condition my roof was in. He also told me that leak probably started when the roof cleaners probably nicked the roof paper. I hired him. He came out as soon as there was a dry day. He did the work in one day. I cannot say enough good things about Hamilton Brothers Roofing. They were very responsive. No nonsense with the quote and we're ready to perform the work within a day! Unfortunately the rain had other ideas. When they returned a few days later, they were quick, efficient and had some of the most knowledgable and experienced roofers I have seen in awhile working on my roof. The work was beautiful. They photographed each step so I did not have to climb a ladder if I did not want to. I did! The materials they used were top notch, name brands and proper weight and composition. I waited to write this review until it had stood the test of time but my flat roof has and is still dry and perfect. It has withstood some of the worst Florida thunderstorms you could imagine, including heavy, driving rain and wind blown rain from every point of the compass. Called Hamilton Bros to repair 5-6 roof tiles. Spoke with Patrick and we came by couple of hours later. He was super honest and advised that it's not worth spending the money replacing since what's important is what below the roof tile. He even gave my husband a roof tile adhesive to apply on the cracks. It's really nice to know that there still honest people out there, this for sure will be our roof company for any future roof repairs. Competitors were wanting to charge us $600-$800 for this work. I'm finally back from deployment and just as I expected the problems persists. When Hamilton Bros originally came out to fix the issue I had all new sheet rock and insulation put in. I now return home and there is still a leak coming from somewhere in the roof. Mold has now begun to appear in that general area. The stain that Mr. Hamilton claims was already there has grown bigger since I last saw it. I know FOR SURE I'm not going crazy. Stains and Mold don't just start appearing out of nowhere. THIS IS VERY FRUSTRATING AND DISAPPOINTING. 08/23/18: I called Mr. Hamilton last week to see if he would be willing to come out to my home to see what's going on with my roof. To my surprise he accepted and today he came out to my home. Although the warranty had expired from the prior job he did, Mr. Hamilton found the issue and took care of it. I truly appreciate his responsiveness and willingness to maintain customer satisfaction. We hired Hamilton Bros Roofing for a roof leak. They repaired it for $1800.00. Roof still leaked in exact same spot. They came again, re-repaired it. It still leaks (3rd) this time 6-8 inches away from original repair. The roofer who came to inspect yesterday said the "work they did led to this current leak". He said we got the "tail light warranty" as this company will not stand by their work. Hamilton Bros will not come to inspect, they will not give partial refund, they will not do another repair. The roof is leaking for the 3rd time in the same spot. When I contacted Hamilton Bros. he told me he is "A+ rating/Accredited member 15 years. Your false review will not change that madam." Hire them if you want to throw $1800 in the trash and start over having to hire a new roofer for the repair and PAY AGAIN, which is what we are forced to do. Not trustworthy. This is how a small business should be run. Day 1 Patrick gave me a honest and clearly written proposal to repair and replace a bunch of broken tiles on my roof along with repair two large leaks in my facia that had caused the wood to rot. Day 2 Patrick and his crew worked tirelessly to repair or replace the broken tiles as necessary. Stopping only for a lunch break. Day 3 Finished repairing the leaks and replacing the rotted wood facia. Did a finally inspection and cleaned up the work area. Providing me with a before and after photos of all the work that was done...and it was a lot. Hamilton Bros. did an amazing job and were very professional and courteous. He showed up to the house and left a business card but never actually went on the roof. He didn't contact me even after showing up to let me know anything. When we came down to out property we noticed a leak in the ceiling of the master bedroom that had gotten worse. We called several other roofers who told us they could come out to look at the leak till the following week & we were on a time schedule. This happened on Wed the 7th. I contacted Hamilton Roofers & spoke with Patrick who said he normally doesn't come this far north but happened to be in the area & would come out to look at the problem; approx an hr later he was at our door. He also inspected the rest of the roof & found other potential problems but not serious issues that he would address when repairing our roof. Unfortunately because of pre-existing schedules they weren't able to come-out till the following Tues to fix the leak (otherwise 5 stars) As it turned out the leak was coming from the adjoining neighbors roof. They ended up removing half the back section & part of the neighbors 2-3 ft onto their side find & fix the problem w/o an additional charge. I emailed Sunday about a roof repair. No reply. I called Monday and was told he could come by Tuesday morning to look at my roof leak. I text him my info and request a call to let me know what time on Tuesday morning he will be arriving. No reply. Tuesday morning by 9:15 I haven't heard from him. I call him and he tells me he can't be here until Tuesday afternoon. I took off work Tuesday morning since that's when he told me he could be here. Poor follow up. Obviously there is no accountability. With south Florida being full of shady contractors I do believe it's very important to let others know when I come across one. I appreciate the same in return. A round of applause for this company! I had a HUGE hole (Plus other smaller repairs) I had on the roof. Patrick came the same day to do an estimate. Unfortunately, he couldn't work on the roof due to a big beehive situation that has planted themselves inside this hole. I had the exterminator come out the next day to spray and kill them. Patrick came that very same day and started working on my repairs. Soon after, I learned he took out a huge part of the wood that was saturated with a beehives nest and replaced it with new wood.
