If large and upscale clubs aren't your thing, you'll probably have a good time here. This place…read moreseems to cater to a mostly local crowd. Moog is small, literally underground, and the electronic music you'll find here is genuine. Not the commercial nonsense typical of a big, touristy venue. Bring earplugs or cotton for your, the bass is heavy. Some of the best dance nights out I've had have been in tiny spots like Moog. It's dark as he'll on the dance floor too. I subtracted 1 star for the smoke machine. That stuff is not needed and it's a little irritating to the senses. Other than that, I am a fan of this spot. We found it by accident and I'm glad we did!

Locals and tourists alike flock to get down to the international acts in this underground establishment. Upon walking up to the place on an undisclosed Barcelona narrow street I was greeted with echos of bass in the distance. Good vibes all around and the usual with these events, drinks and substances flowing like water, the locals buying out the bar, out-of-towners here to get down until the morning, local knuckle heads looking for a fun night, bouncers keeping everything in check, and folks flexing some night moves. If you are looking for a loud, bass heavy night of underground/worldwide music, make the off the beaten path treck here and enjoy a long night and see what Barcelona has to offer!

Otto Zutz is not the absolute best club in Barca. It's probably not even in the top quartile,…read morehonestly. But, it was walking distance from home, and that counted for a lot. I always had different coupons to get in (pick em up at shops and bars and restaurants all over the place, you will encounter stacks everywhere), so I don't recall ever paying a cover. The three floors of various music can be confusing but simultaneously fun, depending on who you're with and what state of mind you are in! It's a good place to start off the night, or to go for an random night of dancing. Heavy pours at the bar for sure, but I found that's pretty typical all around the city. Easy door, no face control type BS that you might find elsewhere, and a steady crowd of locals makes it a good and not brutally expensive night out!

The bouncers and security were very helpful in pouring some mixture on my toe, shoving some cottonballs into the wound, and slapping on a bandaid that wouldn't even stay on because my foot was saturated with blood before yelling, "HOLA! Done!" and calling it a day. This ended my night. I'm sure if this hadn't happened I would've perhaps had a swell night at Otto Zutz, but ladies with the open toed sandals beware and Otto Zutz please keep your establishment safe.

Our bartender was very generous with the portions of alcohol lol! The DJ played a variety of salsa and bachata music. Our tattoo artist recommended Antilla on Wednesday nights because that's 'Salsa night'. We went the next day but we could not keep up! Information You Should Know: - Yes, Wednesday nights are Salsa nights. Maybe a little Bachata. - It was free to get in but there's a catch... you're given a beverage ticket requiring you to purchase a drink at the bar and ONLY then can you leave. So, you get a piece of paper at the door, hand it to the bartender, pay for your drink, and get new piece of paper allowing you to leave whenever you want. I honestly love this concept! You get something in return instead of just paying a cover like you do in the US. - So You Think You Can Dance? I thought I could but once I saw the level of skill on the dance floor I moved and stayed sipping my Gin and Tonic. It was very intimidating! But it was a lot of fun watching others effortlessly dance all around. - Friendly towards tourists- We were a group of 4 and clearly not locals but we felt so comfortable being here! No one looked at us differently or treated us any differently. Overall, if you are a good dancer then you will love this place. If you're a beginner like me then maybe not so much. Hope this review helps!

We all made separate reservations but came as a group since the place booked us all at 9pm. We read the dress code on the website and it says "no flip flops" and "no athletic shoes." Nothing said "no sandals" and definitely nothing said "you must wear heels." We get to the establishment - which didn't even open on time. They made us stand in line for 20 minutes. As we all approach the door, the glorified bouncers decide we can't come in because we're wearing "flip flops." Allegedly. NONE OF THE LADIES have on flip flops - we're all wearing dressy sandals - flat sandals, but dressy/nice. The bouncers then proceed to go to the back of the line and get all the white patrons and bring them inside - many of them wearing both athletic shoes/sneakers (dirty ones at that) or flat sandals (some white girls even had on the EXACT SAME SHOES as some of the ladies in our group)! We asked to speak to the manager. She came out and acknowledged us for about 2 minutes then quickly ran back inside. I should make it known that the lighter-skinned folks in our group were allowed in for their reservation - even the ones with flat sandals. It's evident Gatsby is incredibly wealthy and incredibly racist because they just turned away 45 BLACK patrons. They evidently don't need our coins and they don't need yours. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE!!!!!! DO NOT SUPPORT THIS ESTABLISHMENT!!!!! #ImNotAFoodie #ImJustAGirlWhoLovesFood #YelpEliteSquad
