Amazing to think these were built so long ago! It's not huge maybe a quarter of a mile long, you just walk around, lots of iguanas sunbathing! It was pretty hot there, so wear sunscreen and bring a hat!

They are not the most popular spot for Mayan ruins but its easily accesible if you do not have the time to visit Chichen Itza. There are around 40 stone structres and you need to do your own research. There are not many signages or information next to the structures. You will see a lot of iguanas in this location. An interesting location to explore if you are in the hotel zone. Do not miss it.

Then when i arrived to check in, they said last rode was at 8:30. And we ended up going up around 8:20. So just make sure you go with time. If you do end up going, do daytime or subset hours. Not night time as you wont enjoy it the same.

The chips were pretty good and the salsa had a kick! The area is a bit touristy so prepare to be hassled a bit as you walk around with people pushing menus in your face. The piña colada was sweet but tasty and the XL version is pretty big! As others on reviews from other sites mention, they add a 20% service charge without explaining it (hand written bill) and then asked for more tips at the end. Decent service but definitely not worth 35-40% tip - I wish their business was more honest. Here's a reminder to always check your bill!

These snakes all stand at guard, with their tails in the air, forming a traffic circle that almost looks like an astrological calendar with snakes. I believe this is the same serpent god as Quetzcoatl in Teotehuican. The heads of the snakes are like what you seen in local archaelogical sites like the Palace of the Thousand Columns in Chichen-Itza. They spray water out during the day, and are illuminated at night.
