This is a great little independent grocer to find ingredients for your Mexican and Latin American cuisine. You need to bone up on your Spanish, as most of the signs inside are in Spanish.
Inside the front door were packs of dried fish and a table with specialty breads. I was looking for dried chili papers to make mole sauce. They had a great selection reasonably priced starting at $1.99 a bag. I easily found what I needed. They also had a large selection of reasonably priced spiced. The aisles were packed with specialty beans, rice and other dry goods.
The meat counter looked fantastic with lots of fresh beef, pork and chicken. They had an assortment of sausages and dried meats as well. Again priced were reasonable. I picked up a large package of corn tortillas as well.
The produce in the produce section was not at its optimal freshness but priced were reasonable. I picked up a couple lines at 4/$1.
There were displays of Interesting Mexican candies that looked fun. There was only only one check out clerk and she was a little slow but friendly. read more
