The place does not accept American Express. But then, the food is also rather lackluster. With lemonade being sickeningly sweet and having an odd, chemical flavor. The Budweiser Prohibition Brew we ordered was replaced with Budweiser Zero - a much poorer alternative. The food is edible and we did not get sick after eating it, but it is on the more expensive side, given the quality. In particular, everything was very greasy - which is not always a bad thing with a diner, but here it was not great. My steak - ordered medium-rare, came medium/well-done which I had to ask to be replaced. It did get replaced with a (nearly) properly cooked (more solidly medium, not rarer) one. I wish it was 14 oz ribeye I paid for, not a thin 8 oz, though. The meat was tasty, a bit lacking the flavor, and the bone was large - not worth the price. The fries were good. The place is halal certified. So the bacon you will get is chicken-based. The environment is very "movie 1950s" - unlike the true diners, but also lacking the atmosphere of the 50s. It would be very enjoyable for its ambiance, if not for the fact, that the place is filled with families with young kids, and as such gets kindergarten loud at times.
