No one else was inside when I got there, but after I ordered and left I realized a line of 3-4 people had formed behind me! Seems like a popular place for sure. I was hoping to sit down and try some of the stuff I got inside, but from what I could tell there was no (or very limited) indoor seating. The service was wonderful, the focaccia was actually a recommendation from the staff and I'm so glad I tried it! Potato and rosemary focaccia - my favourite! This thing was steaming and it smelt so good. I had it while warm, and the bread was so soft but also springy. The potatoes were seasoned well. It was much larger than I expected and there are a lot of potatoes, so I can see this being around 2-4 servings! Butter tart - extremely sweet, exactly what you expect from a butter tart. However, the shell and sprinkle of flaky salt set it apart from other ones I've tried. I can see why everyone comes here for it, but this dessert itself is not my favourite. I had it fresh but bought extra to keep in the fridge. It reheats nicely in the air fryer. Pear and brie galette - not super great. It didn't seem as fresh as the other two, the pastry was kind of dry and dense. Not a lot of pear flavour came through, and the brie was also flat and dry. I had it within an hour of purchase without reheating, maybe a few minutes in the oven would've made a difference.

I came early and was able to have a look at everything on the menu. On top of the buttertart, grabbed a cookie, something rhubarb and a seaweed sourdough while I was there too. The cookie was delicious, but had an absurd amount of salt, all in one spot. Flicked some off before digging in. When I came home, I realized my baked goods box had been crushed by the bread. No wonder, when I weighed it, it was almost a kilo! Such a good price for the size. I'm still going through the bread (froze it to reheat), and it has a perfect crust and a good seaweed flavour. I also grabbed a coffee. Watch out! Their lids are leaky :(

I work in hospitality so I know that sometimes there are some hiccups along the way, especially when you're talking about an operation of this size - the server brought us the wrong drink order but made up for it by comping the next round and so, oh well no big deal, and for sure I would say that the service and our server specifically (can't remember her name) was really attentive. But because I work in hospitality I also am critical of quality of food, and things that some don't notice in terms of cleanliness etc and the presentation overall was really great. You pay for the experience, like anything else, but we were really happy with the night and recommended our friends check it out in Vancouver when it was there as well. Let me start with pros: it was a neat experience, our server was very friendly, we were with great company and overall had fun together. (We will have fun no matter what!). The concept was a great idea. The only good food was the chocolate mousse dessert! Now the cons: it was WAY overpriced for the experience. People say "you pay for the experience" bull crap! Not only do you purchase tickets in advance for food and reservation, when you go that price does not include drinks or the service charge. Additionally for the price we paid, the food was down right gross. 1. It took us 45 minutes to get a drink. 2. We were over an hour and half in before we got food 2. The rolls they served I'm pretty sure were Hawaiian Rolls with a side of garlic butter 3. The soup, I don't know what the hell was in it but by the time we got it, it was cold and I couldn't even, it it GROSS. 4. You get a choice of beef chicken and we got one of each. The chicken was so salty and insanely dry I could not eat it. The beef was supposed to be short rib, it was pot roast. 5. You had to take a golf cart to get to the restrooms. In the end they bring you a final check we knew would be a service fee and drink charges. I about hit the floor. For what they charged for drinks I could nicely stock a small bar. Beware of "death by fees". We were charged a fee to rent the dome, a service fee, a credit card fee, a processing fee when we prepaid for the dinner AND and another service fee on the final check which by the way was over the entire bill including the prepaid portion. (In which we already paid a fee) In the end the price for 6 people cost more than an all day trip to Epcot at Disney and would have got better food and drinks there. Anywho for anyone thinking of trying this out I highly recommend you don't. SAVE your money and take your friends or significant other somewhere else !!

Try not ti order the food eat it in the restaurant instead. The waitress is great and very sweet, she always makes sure the food and ambience is up to par. The music is very enjoyable. I only started going there a lot these last few months. The staff is small but officient the three of them work like a well oiled machine, if you are looking for something quick this is the place to be. HOWEVER the reason I am leaving such a poor rating is because the washroom NEVER works it is always out of survive and when it does it smells if not bad awful. The blue dye on the paper used on the plates and the cabbage comes off on the food that can't be safe. Not only that but most of the time when you make a complaint or a comment nothing changes. The boss is great but has not been in for about 2 months and although he's a great guy but we can really tell how much more relaxed the staff is and sometimes how much better they work together without him there... anyways the food is pretty good do as you please with this information.

You must try both these items if you are at the CNE. I asked the cashier whether there is a website or a main restaurant that they sell from and sadly there isnt , so I have to rely on my annual trips to CNE for some turon and halo halo . The service is quick, and I love watching the halo halo being made. As long as I can go to CNE I will get turon and halo halo and so should you :) They have other Filipino dishes that are probably very good but I have already eaten a lot of Filipino cuisine and am focused on trying out new foods each year at the CNE.

The bonbons are very colourful and are decorated artfully, and above all, tasty. There were so many flavours, making it hard to choose. They make thousands of bonbons everyday in a 3600 sq ft kitchen. There is a single lady operating the trailer. The customer service is good. The bonbons are really good! In 2018, founder Kata, showed off her bonbons at a "One of a Kind" show with a table. They became the hit of the show! She sold bonbons in her spare time. She then founded a small store called Lion Coffee. Then she opened up a store, Chocolate de Kat, on St. Clair Ave W. Now in Dec 2024, she uses a little trailer to sell her bonbons at the Queen's Cross Food Hall. This is a pop-up that opened early Dec 2024. There is free WiFi from the mall.
