The place is a bit of a hidden gem. Crammed between mc Donald's and a servo. I went here on a Saturday night with my brother on our mission to have American style food flowing through our veins. When you first walk into the place I'm sorry to say it doesn't look like much.. It looks like your traditional take away shop with a food warmer and a big drinks fridge. But man look a little closer and you will be very pleasantly surprised. The menu is awesome with such a great spread of different combos that just make you want try every single item! We both got the holy trinity burger. Pork belly. Pulled pork. Bacon. Topped with a tasty crunchy slaw. Oh man it was ridiculous. Combo it up for an extra $$ and your set with some mad chips and a drink to wash it all down. I was expecting some full on American drinks like at other places but the 1-2 types they have at this place weren't included in the combo so we didn't go there. Unless you want to be sad then angry them depressed then unsatisfied this is definitely not the place to come if you're looking to eat clean and healthy. My chicken salad had cold pieces of chicken meat. How I regret not having any salad and just going a warm quarter chicken. Around me everyone else was ordering combo burgers that looked so dirty but so delicious. My 3/5 rating is probably am average of my disappointing chicken salad mixed with everyone else's compliments about the burgers. However they didn't think the burgers were as good as some other places such as grilled. I'll just have to come back on a bad food day to try it out for myself. read more

I'M SO EXCITED ONLY CAPS LOCK CAN EXPRESS IT! So I live in a really unexciting part of Sydney. There's really not many places to go for good food. We have our local favourite spots like everywhere else (Chinese, Thai, Kebabs) but I'm pumped about Tornado's because I would actually invite someone to the area just to try it. I ordered some take-away tonight and had a Onion String Burger Combo. Next time, I'll just order the burger. Man it was massive. A home made lean patty, onion rings, cheddar cheese, smoky bbq chipotle sauce, mayo on a massive home-made bun. D-E-L-I-S-H. The chips were scrum-diddly-umptious as was side of coleslaw. Add a coke and I parted with a measly $13.90. Great value. I really can't wait to go back. But I really should. I feel a heart attack is imminent. You should definitely not make a meal like that a regular thing, but it's good to know it's worth it when you feel like a real treat. read more

This is one of the best burger and chicken joints around Bonnyrigg. We ordered two 'Mad Cow' burgers and a small set of chips. That was already too much! They give two beef patties and double cheese so you can definitely share around with this monstrous burger. It has an amazing American taste and I would recommend it to anyone wanting a full meal. The atmosphere is great as you sit on very traditional wooden chairs with a rugged table. Service is great and I am definitely coming back. The only thing is that one burger will set you back around $16. Wish they would lower down the prices a bit because it's definitely one to try and love. read more

This place is awesome. Seriously awesome. I've been here twice now. I would go more often but it's the sort of thing that needs to spaced out to appreciate its greatness (and also to minimise the risk of a heart attack). The food is amazing. This time I ordered the Holy Trinity burger combo (pulled pork, pork belly, pieces of bacon with pickles and your choice of cheese). One thing is clear: I shouldn't have ordered the combo, the burger was more than filling on its own. With that said, the chips are excellent. They're quite moreish and a little spicy. On to the burger. It had an abundance of each meat. The pulled pork was moist, the pork belly was tender and the bacon was cooked perfectly. Personally, I enjoy it when you get bacon on a burger and it tastes like bacon, rather than ham. I usually steer clear of pickles (I've never really liked them) but perhaps the ones they used are of a better quality and/or cut properly. I quite enjoyed the contrast. The serving size, as mentioned earlier was quite large. I got it to take away and found that when I got home it wasn't the easiest thing to pick up out of the container. I bet it would be a gloriously messy time trying to eat this at the restaurant. I'll have to save that pleasure for another day. They also have a selection of American soft drinks available for purchase which adds to the theme and experience quite well. As much as my body is telling me to wait a while before my next trip here, I can't wait to go back, but then comes the dilemma of choosing whether to try another burger, or opt for the flattened chicken, buffalo wings or the ribs. The customer service there was spot on. I love the people and the atmosphere of it, plus there was a live band playing during the time I was there. The food was okay, wasn't the worse and wasn't the best it's a little pricey but portion wise it was a lot to handle. None of us could finish the meals. I'm sorry but are we aspiring to become a nation of obese lard-junkies, like our American counterparts? I generally try to eat healthy but do occasionally splurge and, on this day, I was in the mood for splurging, and an 'American-style burger' sounded appealing. I had a tornado burger combo and left there feeling queasy and repulsed, swearing to never return. The burger patties are cooked on a hotplate in a pool of oil. Add to that a cream-laden sauce and some 'liquid' cheese and what you've got is a disgusting combination of grease that sat so heavy in my stomach (and dripped down my face and arms) that I didn't eat a thing for about 8 hours afterwards. Apart from being a coronary waiting to happen, the taste was just not appealing. The side salad was a tiny tub of coleslaw that was the most tasteless thing I've ever eaten - I guess the mentality is, 'people don't come for the salad so why even make an effort'. The only thing half decent about the meal was the chips, which were a little overcooked but tasted ok.
