We just closed escrow on July 15, 2012. We only started looking in February and we hit the ground running and so did our agent. Torelli Realty and in particular our agent Holly have been the life raft that has guided us through and kept us safe on this roaring rapids that is the current realestate market. We went directly to Torelli when our journey began. We lived in Costa Mesa and Torelli Realty is very involved in our community. For the many years that we lived in the area they have put on many functions that my family has attended. From Easter Egg Hunts, to a Snowy Christmas'. They put on these functions and give the local schools and their various programs opportunities to raise money. There truly are no words to describe how amazing our agent was. Holly was INCREDIBLE! So professional, so attentive, has an amazing grasp and knowledge of the market that is constantly changing. We have never purchased a home and beleive me when I say, she had her hands full with us. She was quick to respond to every text message, I dont think I ever heard her voicemail not one time, and it showed daily how hard she was looking for us for our Dream Home. She was very inventive when it came to making offers and understand exactly what our needs where. My kids even adored her, they would fill with excitment when we said we were on our way to look at houses with Holly. I have never dealt with anyone or any company where I really felt like I was their only client. That is exactlt what I got with Torelli, and Holly. I knew Holly had her own listings and clients but I always felt like I was her only Client. Truly the amount of time she spent with me daily I don't know how she then managed anyone else. (We were very high maintance) I read some of these other reviews and had to write my own, I was shocked.... I feel the opposite as some of these negative things that were posted. I have 2 young children and I am so greatful to Holly and her Team. I know for a fact that we would not be where we are now without them. I really feel like we got EVERYTHING that we wanted and more. Everyone I meet and talk to I rave about Torelli. To me there could not possibly be a better group of agents out there. These people are amazing and do amazing work in our community. Thanks Torelli!!!! You Guys Rock!!! read more

Here are the highlights of my involvements and interactions with Torelli Realty who represented us in our successful real estate sale this year. As I am a person with limited experience with the buying and/or selling of real estate, it turned out to be a very positive experience. A little over a year ago I contacted Valerie Torelli of Torelli Realty about the possible sale of a Westside Costa Mesa property that I was responsible to sell for the beneficiaries of my parents trust. I selected Torelli Realty because of her local community involvement that made a big impression on me. Over the years there was her yearly Christmas-time snow hill and the Halloween program for the kids and family yard sales that she sponsored for the residents of Costa Mesa. I was inclined to choose a good real estate business that was invested in our city to handle my property sale. Her sales stats suggested that her business had the expertize to provide the resources necessary to handle our property sale. Valerie, the business owner, met with me last summer in 2012 at the property and we discussed her realty business and what she could do for me. She provided her business statistics and was willing to wait until I was prepared to proceed with the sale. We initially planned to sell at the end of the 2012 year, but we were renting to family members and decided to wait until summer time when their children were out of school. That ended up working to our advantage as the real estate market values actually rose in the intervening time. We put the property on the market in the late spring in 2013, with Torelli Realty represented us as the sellers and they brought us over a half dozen offers, three of which were very attractive. We worked with the Torelli broker, Nick Nonis, who expertly helped us evaluate the various offers and navigate throughout the entire process. Along the way our questions were addressed, calls were returned in a very timely manner, and meetings were held at our convenience. I am pleased to report that the concluding negotiations for finalization of the sale worked to the benefit of both the sellers and the buyers. My siblings were all very happy with the proceeds of the sale. Conclusion: Valerie Torelli and her real estate business ROCKS! read more

VALERIE TORELLI When the time came to sell my home because of my declining health, Valerie Torelli appeared to be the realtor to call. Her office had been very active in my neighborhood, keeping us abreast of market conditions and available homes. I owned some commercial properties that were in trouble due to the recession, and was under considerable pressure by a commercial bank in Riverside which had taken a hostile attitude toward me over my commercial loan with them. In good faith, I had cross collateralized my home to sustain the Riverside building. On the first closing attempt on the commercial building, not only did the bank err on their first calculations of what I owed them, but refused the first closing date, jeopardizing my entire deal to sell the property, as I had diligently tried to do for several months. After thousands of dollars of legal fees and calls by my CPA and another work-out Specialist Broker, the bank was showing no flexibility. I called Valerie and listed my home with her group. She promptly got on the phone with the bank and structured a settlement deal which became part of the escrow, tying it into the escrow on the home sale. Valerie then brought in her decorating team and "streamlined" my home to make it look most attractive. In 48-hours, she produced one of the best structured Offers to Purchase I have ever seen in the business, including detailed information on the buyers indicating their capability and probability of closing. The offer was 5% OVER the anticipated asking price, which of course, sped up the closing, which was agreed at 30-days. I have had 30-years experience in the commercial real estate industry, and qualified for a referral fee. I did not ask Valerie for a referral fee, because she had done such an incredible job that I thought she deserved every penny of commission. Incidentally, Valerie was on a pre-scheduled trip out of the country during the final two weeks of closing this deal. Her expert team answered my every question and completed the necessary documents for a smooth closing. She's simply the best. Bill Murdock wamurdock@aol.com read more

I was working with Valerie already with the sell of my home so I decided to let them go ahead and have them help me with the purchase of my new home. I worked mostly with April O'neil and she was awesome. April listened to every detail of the dream house I was looking for and she did everything to help us find it. I feel her and I really connected and I can honestly say I found a friend in April. April and I would go out looking at houses and it felt so comfortable like 2 friends just out and about. She is a very easy going person and is very good at her job. April is also ok with telling you if she doesn't know the answer to something but she will get back to as soon as she finds out. April kept us informed and up to date every step of the process, she was very informative. Sometimes she would call just to say there was nothing new going on but she didn't want us to be worried because we had not herd from her in a couple of days. Seth works in the office as well and he was also very helpful, he came and cleared out a bunch of stuff for us and on moving day one of our helpers got tied up so Seth came over within 20 min notice and helped my husband load all the heavy stuff into our moving truck. Buying a house can be such a stressful time but April, Valerie, Seth and the entire Torelli Team all made it so easy. So from the bottom of my heart thank you all. We couldn't have done it without each and everyone of you. The Savage Family read more

Our friends sold their house with Torelli Realty in early 2011 and referred us to Valerie Torelli to help us buy our home. I used Yelp to check on Torelli Realty and have to be honest, I told my friends they were nuts. Then my friends pointed out to me that there are filtered messages that I should review as well. After I read those reviews I felt a little more comfortable and decided to give them a try. Upon engaging Torelli Realty for help, we met with Valerie and told her what we were looking for and what are budget was. She seemed thoroughly engaged in what we wanted and asked us how we wanted to be communicated with. At first we didn't understand what she meant by that, then she explained, she asked if we wanted to be called, emailed, texted with updates. This was truly a new thing to us. We told her we would prefer phone, but that text and email would work as well. Let me go back a little, there was a specific neighborhood that we wanted to be in but kept getting out bid by cash buyers. We were in a very competitive price range. Valerie understood our desire to be in this neighborhood and she sent out letters, flyers, and then she went and door knocked in the area until she was able to find us the right home. Our experience with Valerie Torelli and her team (Holly & Nick) was great. I give them 4-stars, because no one gets 5-stars from me unless you absolutely knock my socks off. read more

Valerie Torelli ROCKS! I recently interviewed several real estate agents to sell a house for me in Costa Mesa. Her professionalism and, more importantly to me, integrity shined far above the other agents I spoke with. As the process evolved , it was clear to me that she cared just as much about all the people involved as closing the deal. I had a tenant that she spent much time and energy helping to re-locate, which was above and beyond the scope of her job. She was successful and showed me that she cared not just about making the sale, but compassion towards another human. There were a few other obstacles that she had to overcome to in order to present the house which she dealt with in a very efficient manner. The bottom line was she was able to sell the house surprisingly quickly and at a much higher price than I thought possible. On a scale of 1-10, she earned 1000. I told my brother, who was a realtor , about my experience with Valerie. His response was " You Scored! Most agents are wannabes, but she is that rare agent that really knows how to conduct a transaction effectively on all levels." Valeries lives up to every word of her motto: "Live in such a way that if someone spoke badly of you, no one would believe it." I wish more people had her integrity. My experience can be summed up in 5 words; "She hit a Grand Slam!" Thank you Valerie! read more

I just recently completed a short sale of my house in Corona and could NOT have done it without these guys. I had previously tried a refi, modification and rental management and nothing was working out. I was introduced to Torelli Realty by a friend and am so thankful that I took their advice and worked with them. The short sale took almost two years and during that time I worked exclusively with Nick Nonis. It was a long and hard fought battle and it was always reassuring to not get "pawned off" to another agent and have the same contact throughout the entire process. Of course, during the process, IndyMac didn't know what any of their divisions were doing at the same time so whenever I'd get a call from IndyMac that something had gone wrong all I had to do was call Nick and he'd give me the reassurance I needed to keep my sanity. He was always available and kept me up-to-date with all needed information. The amount of work it must have taken to get this done is unmanageable to me! In all honesty, the two years sucked... Bad. And although I hope to never go through this again I will definitely use Torelli Realty when I get back on my feet and am ready for home ownership again! Matt M read more

Valerie and team at Torelli Realty are Realestate Pros!! I put this team to the ultimate test... TWICE!!! Back in 2006 Valerie sold our home in Costa Mesa for $100,000 OVER Market prices.. Valerie was a champ about it..She didn't say.."this won't work, we'll never get this price, we'll never get the appraisal, this will be impossible... bla bla bla.." Instead she said.. "Let's do it!!" And sure enough, we sold for exactly what we were asking.. Fast Forward to 2018 ... Here we go again.. I wanted to sell another home and you guessed it... Demanded we attempt to move the market prices up again and asked her to list my home for about $100K over the market prices.. She said - "We've done it before so let's do it again.. " BOOM.. Did it again.. Valerie swings for the fences and for me, connected for a grand slam in both cases! Simply put.. If you want to sell your home for the highest amount possible and even more than that, you need to hire Team Torelli..... Thanks to Valerie, my wife and I were able to acquire our dream home in Cabo San Lucas.. This required a big chink of cash and was only possible because I was able to sell for OVER asking ! read more

Torelli Realty has been our only choice when it comes to either buying or selling our home. In fact, we've done both and wouldn't think of going with anyone else. We recently put our home for sale in this rather down market. In approximately 1 month, our home had an offer and soon closed. Her entire team was extremely helpful during the entire process. Holly took some fabulous pictures of the interior and exterior and they showed so beautifully on the MLS. Without question, these pictures helped sell the house and Holly continually kept us updated with interest/offers. Once an offer was submitted, Nick was right there throughout the entire process communicating with us and being our advocate as the sellers. We felt totally secure with having him in our corner and he's a bulldog when it comes to negotiating with the buyers and protecting our interests. We've known Valerie for about 10 years and she knows the business. But also, she is a great person who surrounds herself with hard working, great people and that is what makes Torelli Realty a super real estate company. We would highly recommend them. read more

I love visiting Torelli Realty's office! If you've never been you have to make it a point to stop by and say Hi. Valerie the President loves showing off the office. She see's it as the Anti-Real Estate office :) I was referred to Torelli Realty after Valerie did a presentation for Entrepreneurs at CalState Fullerton. Being an Entrepreneur myself I was intrigued by her story and how she's fought against the odds to get to where she is today. I have not personally used Torelli Realty to buy real estate so I can't speak to that but what I can tell you is that I've heard nothing but good things about them, with the exception of a few negative reviews here. They do charity events as well for the Costa Mesa and surrounding areas which I think is fantastic and something that not a lot of businesses take the time to do. They go out of their way to be a part of the community. Seriously go see for yourself. Take a tour of the office and you'll know instantly whether they are a right fit for your needs or not. read more

I am not a regular Yelper, but I recently had a wonderful experience with Valerie and felt it was important to give her a 5 star review. My husband and I have been waiting to refi our home for several years. Due to the home value drops over the past few years, it has been impossible. Valerie's signs are all through our neighborhood and a most recent sale of a home (similar to our home) prompted me to call her with some of my questions. Her receptionist transferred me and I expected another associate to handle my call. To my surprise, Valerie answered the call personally. She was very helpful and offered to do anything she could offer information that would help with our appraisal. Yesterday, we got news that our appraisal came in high enough for us to move forward with our refi. Valerie was instrumental with her knowledge of the neighborhood was a valuable tool for our appraiser. It is clear why so many people use your services to sell their home! Thank you Valerie! read more

I'm giving 5 stars to Valerie Torelli and Torelli Realty because of their community involvement. Every year they put on several events, including neighborhood wide Yard Sales where they take care of all the advertising and promotions. Their first and major event for 25 years running is Egg-Citement, hosted around Easter time. Last year it featured the Easter egg bunny, a petting zoo, and a ton of activities for kids of all ages. Around Halloween they put on a Pumpkin patch for all the residents around their office located at 1700 Adams Ave, in Costa Mesa. In the past they've had free pumpkins, a pumpkin decorating contest, a pie eating contest, petting zoo and tractor rides. Probably their most famous event is their Snowday. Torelli Realty brings in about 40 tons of snow to Costa Mesa once a year. For some residents it's their first time ever getting to play with snow. So there you have it! For these things and more Torelli Realty gets this rating. read more

My family and I have known Valerie for many years. She sold my parents the lovely house on Capri Lane in the Mesa Verde Country Club. My mother loved Valerie and made us promise to ask Valerie to help us sell the house, which she did. Valerie was very fair, realistic and optimistic. We got an excellent price for our house. One of her agents, Annie, brought the perfect buyers to purchase our parents' home. Annie, too, was great to work with. I have especially enjoyed working with Alan and Heather, who helped me buy my current condo. They have been very patient, very understanding, and very enthusiastic throughout the entire process. Valerie called me to say she had found the perfect condo for me and she was right!!!! It has been a pleasure working with everyone at Torelli Realty. Darcy has been super! I was looking for a second home in the OC area and was finding it very difficult to locate, select and buy a home in the price range I was looking for. The market was moving exceptionally fast. Darcy Olsen from Torelli Reality quickly identified what I was looking for, set up several searches for key areas and walked me through what to expect in the market. It was apparent she knew the area and what to expect. In a few weeks she found a home for me. This particular house had been listed for about 30 minutes, seriously before she had contacted the other realtor previewed it and had me in it that evening. I worked with Darcy to make an offer again that evening and she and Torelli Reality handled the rest. I was very pleased with both Darcy and Torelli Reality and would use them again should need to buy or sell another home. read more

Torelli . . . professional services with a personal touch. Buying or selling a home can be a stressful event, particularly when navigating the likes of inflated property values, predatory lenders, loan servers and so on. My wife and I have purchased and sold homes through Torelli Realty and every experience has been fabulous. It's difficult to find businesses that appreciate the concepts of "providing service", "respecting and protecting clients decisions", "creating emotionally positive experiences" and above all - "exhibiting high levels of integrity". Recently we had to short sale a property, obviously not a good situation. Nick and Valerie not only created a plan for us, but they managed the whole process and guided us through a difficult situation with the greatest of ease. THANK YOU Torelli for all that you do. read more

WOW! I am so impressed with the quality of service I received from Torelli Realty. As a Texas Realtor for over 30 years, I know what it takes to give great customer service. Valerie was so thoughtful in helping me determine what needed to be done, and kept in touch during every aspect of the process. I was able to have my parents home under contract before it even hit the market and received a great offer, that closed in 30 days. It's the little things that make a difference, not to mention the high energy and knowledge she has shown from the beginning to the end. The whole process was wonderful and I would highly recommend her to any of my clients considering making a move to Orange County. Thank you Torelli Team. L.Baird read more

After reading some of the reviews I just had to say something about Torelli Realty. I have worked closely with them on several transactions and my experience has been totally different than several of the people who have left terrible reviews. In one review they are blamed for an escrow company possibly making a mistake. Possibly not. In another review they were blasted for a Redfin posting. These seem to be comments not from real people but from plants trying to take pot shots at this leader in Costa Mesa Real Estate. I am working with an agent now on a complex deal and I have found her and the Torelli team to be helpful, knowledgeable and professional. I highly recommend this company and will continue using them. read more

When dealing with Torelli Realty, be sure to read your contract carefully and insure it's correct. If Ms. Torelli say's you can fire me at any time, get it in writing. Ms. Torelli is a bully and has no customer relations skills and is very unethical in her business practices. She listed our home for less than the contract stated and before we authorized it and then tried to sell it for even less. I'd rather light my head on fire and put it out with an pick rather than do business with Torelli Realty! So heed my warning and steer clear of Torelli Realty you'll be doing yourself a favor and not get months of irritations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Torelli Realty only care about there own bottom line not yours!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

Our recent experience with Torelli Realty was amazing! From the very beginning, the owner Valerie assured us that she would take good care of our family throughout the difficult process of selling our home in this terrible market. The Torelli staff is outstanding! They are not only professional but also caring people. My husband and I were fortunate to work with Nick who is not only impeccable at his job but also a very approachable and kind person. His negotiating skills are to be commended. My entire family owes a great debt to Torelli for making a very difficult situation easier. It goes without saying that we would highly recommend Torelli and we feel grateful that they guided us through this process. read more
