It's strange - the older I get, the more I rely on Topshop. I just can't get enough! In the last two months I have got a Topshop store card, and a Topman store card. I pop in every week to see what is new, and even though I DO NOT need any more clothes, I seem to always find something here that makes me think that this is just simply the best, most practical purchase ever, and if I wear if every day then it won't matter about the cost, right? Er, is there a Topshop AA meeting that I can attend?
Topshop Kingston is my local, but unless I pick my times very wisely, it is very busy, and you have to wait ages to get into the small changing rooms. It is also always packed with school kids - during school time no less! I can only imagine that schools now have a 'Topshop hour' which is the modern day version of the field trips that we used to go on at school.
Back to Richmond - I didn't see any school kids; I practically had the shop to myself. I dove into the dressing rooms with armfuls of clothes, and was pleased to say that each changing room gives you a lot more space than Kingston. This branch is a little bit smaller than Kingston, and of course, a lot smaller than the mothership on Oxford Circus. Don't expect to get all the range here, but do hunt towards the back of the rails - different lines of clothes share the same rails to optimise the amount of stock on show.
It goes without saying that I left with some clothes, what can I say? Right now Topshop is at the head of the game, and I will continue to shop here for as long as my bank account can stand it! read more
