The best food in Colonial Beach. Great customer service and always ready in 10 to 15 minutes

Food is consistently good. What I like most is that they cook-to-order so the food is always fresh and not stale. They use larger shrimp in the fried rice and the General Tso's is almost perfect - wish they used a little less sauce, but that's just a personal preference. 1st of all, let's just stipulate that Chinese food isn't cheap anymore, even at humble carry-outs like Top's. And don't expect haute cuisine. Stick to the basics. Top's egg drop soup is reliably good. We often get Singapore rice noodle. Pepper steak with onion is what you'd expect. Egg foo yung is better than we've gotten from other nearby Chinese restaurants. Haven't tried their American food at all. Bottom line, keep it simple. read more

If Chinese is what you want, suggest going somewhere else. Bland food, lack seasoning. Even Kung Pao isnt even spicy. Egg rolls are mush.

Their food prices have gone up a lot in the last three years when I said something to the owner she just didn't respond like she didn't really care at this point I think I will have to find another place. Food to is me is at best if they don't change the prices and make better food they'll be out of business before long. read more

No stars place is nasty thought me and my coworker try it out owners were nice but a little to nice prices were good and portion sizes were ok I took a bite of my general tso chicken and it tasted like chemicals asked for a refund and they told me no it's good so we left the only good thing from that place was my bottled coke they also had raw meat next to cooked product right in the fridge read more

Eh.. food is a little over salty... butnnit horribly bad. Service. Yeah. Not friendly at all. Fried shrimp from the appetizers felt like a frozen shrimp from the store. It wasn't that good tempura shrimp. I like that the crab rangoon doesn't have onions. It would be nice if they delivered. read more

When you finish with carry-out order and they say - "10 minutes" - they aren't kidding, no matter how much you order! They are a family run business, and have been here for many years. I have watched their children go from being little tykes to taking orders. They are a pleasure to support. They have a menu with a broad amount of selections, and I've had just about everything over the years. I've yet to be disappointed. read more

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!! Bonnie must of been paid for her five star review. My wife tried to place an order over the phone, she was yelled at by a young boy and then he hung up on her. When I went to pick up my order, a lady rang me up. Very short with me and rude as well. The white rice was terrible, very chewy. The rest of our order was sub-par at best. We have eaten at another Tops China many times and we have never had a bad meal. I have never written a review for a restaurant before, but this experience was so bad and so disappointing that I do not want other people to be treated like we were. read more

My mother is diabetic and was extremely ill from not eating all day. I asked them to deliver some food 4 blocks away.They told me no, they could not help and asked me not to call back. That wont be a problem because I will never give them any of my patronage. Please do not go to this restaurant. read more

Well as a take out place I wasn't really expecting a fantastic meal but it was not good at all. I ordered the szechuan wontons, wonton soup and vegetable lo mein...the szechuan wontons were really bland and smothered in a weird brown sauce...the wonton soups broth tasted like dirt and mushrooms...the veggie lo mein had little to no flavor all though the veggies were very fresh. All in all definitely not a tasty meal, I think we'll pass on this place next time. read more

We where starving, so tops china won our vote. Wish I had went to Mcdonalds. Two "large" 21.00 $ well it was hot temp. Wise my beef lomein was so oily would not stay on fork. The pasta was so thick looked like spaghetti. Not good the meat kinda tasted old very tough, and we got rice noodle 10.95 again the oil was so immense it was far the worst I had ever had.. I can guarantee I will never ever go back. They looked as if they could use the business. They suck. read more

Great for take out. Been coming here for many years and have never been disappointed. Food is always fresh, hot and never any mix up in orders. $50 WASTED. Eggrolls - unimpressive. Shrimp toast - burnt and greasy. Shrimp Egg Foo Young - burnt and huge onions and not much shrimp. Beef and Broccoli, made spicy - uh..I did ask for spicy but...I didn't try the General Tso's, I am afraid. And last but not least - ordered Won-Ton soup, ended up with egg drop soup..yuck! read more

Saw the Hunan Diner advertisments disguised as a Top's review and had to respond. Guess it's just a matter of taste. I prefer Top's because of their Lunch and Combo menu-more variety; convenience-Top's shopping center location is more accessible tor parking and when my dad was alive and wheelchair-bound if we went to Hunan we had to take him in thru the back- a real pain. At Top's food quality IMO is about the same; price is about the same and staff is much friendlier. Also- I prefer to not be eavesdropped on by the nosy busy-body locals that frequent Hunan and to which they cater and Top's doesn't serve alcohol, so I don.'t have to worry about that, so it's easier to just take-out from Top's-or eat there if we have the time. read more

I love this place. It's fast, it's tasty (wonderful curry chicken) and reasonably priced. They do not deliver and neither does the local McDonalds, so if you expect it, you will be disappointed. I am a diabetic myself and the food is quite healthy. read more

I eat their food often. Always fresh & very tasty. Best gravy. Other restaurants don't deliver and neither do they so don't complain.
