She is SO quick to reply and help if your flight is delayed or you have a special request like the one time we had a foster kitten added to our crew who needed meds! This team is top notch! Second, our pets are always excited and happy when we get home, meaning they got excellent care. I have a bit of a moody Jack Russell that has been a tell tale sign if the walkers or pet sitters didn't give enough attention in the past, but she's never been out of wack with TT. She loves their walkers and gets very personalized attention-how do I know? The thorough notes I get for every single visit! TT is worth every penny and we love the love they've shown our 2 dogs and cat and even our house plants some vacations they come by and water them! read more

I made the mistake of hiring Toptails Petsitting I met on Tanya the owner at the meet and greet. I would have asked for my money back if I knew my reviews were getting taken down from each site. We have a camera, she didn't do what we asked for the cats. She smoked in the house, left it a pigsty and used our bathroom--her clothes and shoes were in the bathroom when we came home a day early. I reached out since the owner Tanya was our sitter in regards to feeding our two cats Chrissy & Belle. Hire at your own risk! It's no fake REVIEW Miss Grant. The truth hurts. You need to read the article that having all 5 stars makes your business look bad. Sorry, every business isn't perfect and TopTails Petsitting is far from perfection. You're upset because it's TRUE from my notes you didn't feed Chrissy & Belle. You can clearly read my instructions on the photos below. Most people use VPN ( No Fake Browser) replaces your actual IP address to make it look like you've connected to the internet from a different location: the physical location of the VPN server, rather than your real location. I cannot say enough good things about this service. I was away for 10 days and I could tell that Tanya was truly enjoying taking care of my two cats. Every time she came to my apartment I received an update with pictures. I normally miss my cats like crazy but they looked so happy that I relaxed and seeing pictures twice a day helped a lot. If I wrote this review a week ago, it would not be good. But knowing that everyone screws up at some point, I was impressed with how Top Tails handled the situation and was glad I gave them a second chance. I was frantic a few weeks ago when a friend bailed last minute on watching my dogs. With no one else available, I knew TT was just around the corner, so I reached out to them once I realized I was about to be screwed with no petsitter. Thankfully they were able to get me in with very short notice to take care of the meet & greet, getting the keys, etc. I gave them printed out instructions, as well as kept copies on hand on the dining room table, and made sure everything was in my online profile as well. Unfortunately during that first weekend, someone dropped the ball. Honestly, it was just carelessness on the part of the main sitter that was coming to my house. There are a few very specific things in my instructions and she did not follow them. My dogs were left without their potty pads on several occasions, so it was not their fault that they had nowhere to go potty. The house was an absolute mess when we returned. I called the office manager, Holly (who is seriously one of the pleasantest people on the planet!), and told her what happened. She was very shocked, very sorry, and told me she would absolutely get to the bottom of it. After speaking with the sitter, she called me back. There was no reason or excuse for what happened. They messed up, plain and simple. Holly refunded the money back to my account, let me know what steps they were taking regarding this situation, and asked me to please give them another try. I needed a sitter again soon and I just knew this wasn't the norm for them, so I said absolutely. I hired them again the past few days and everything went perfectly! The dogs were very well cared for, all the instructions were followed, and there were 0 issues this time around. Came home to a clean house and happy puppers! So glad I took them up on their offer to try them again! As for the overall service, things I love: - Online scheduling system - this is awesome and makes it SO easy to specify what I want and when I want it - Notes left on every visit letting me know how everything went Things I'm not too crazy about: - As someone who has 3 dogs, it is on the expensive side. Yes, they are in line with their competitors. But for someone like me who has a fenced-in backyard so the dogs don't need to be walked, it is definitely pricier. But I don't mind paying this when I'm in a bind and can't find any of my friends to watch them (my preferred method of dog sitting) - No overnight care. Perhaps a service they may be interested in adding in the future - having sitters stay in the client house. If I can't get friends to stay in my house and watch the dogs, this is my second choice.The latest they come is 8pm and the earliest is 8am, so that's 12 hours overnight where the dogs don't have anything (I normally take them out around 6am every morning). I know it's hard with limited staff, so just something to consider for future options. Top Tails is doing it right. No one is perfect. They recognized their mistake and did something to fix it so that they didn't lose me as a customer. I've already hired them for a third time! read more

I recently used Top Tails while traveling out of town for the weekend. Toby, my Puggle, has never really been away from me as I usually take him when I travel. Thus, this was the first time I have used a sitting/walking service. I was really nervous at first, but as soon as I had my introduction appointment ("Meet & Greet" as they call it), I knew I had made the right decision in choosing Top Tails. Erica (the gal who would be Toby's walker) and Tanya (owner) both came to my house in the evening (worked great with my work schedule!) a few days prior to my trip. Not only were they incredibly nice and SUPER excited about meeting Toby, they were very professional, asked all the right questions, and were "hip with technology", plugging in my answers to an iPad while we talked. They listened patiently while I explained Toby and I's "routine"...Treat when he goes #1 & #2, 1 cup of food AM & PM, playing with Mr. Monkey and where his toys are kept...I could tell Toby was excited as he was wagging his tail the WHOLE time they were there! I was excited to return home after my long weekend since I missed my buddy so much--- But it seems he had LOTS of fun without me! I was pleasantly surprised to find very detailed notes (see photo) of Toby's "adventures" while I was away. I could tell immediately that Erica had taken great care of my little guy. She detailed his visits and reiterated everything we had discussed during our initial meeting- When she gave him a treat and chew toy, how he did on his walk, the belly rubs and play times. I know she was actively involved in Toby's care because she captured his personality SO WELL when writing his activity and behaviors down. It was fun to read them and laugh "Yep! That sounds like my Toby!". All in all, I had a GREAT experience, and would highly recommend Top Tails to anyone who asks. Any other pet lover like myself knows just how much they are family and how important it is to find great care. The reasonable prices are just icing on the cake with this great team. I've got mixed feelings about Top Tails. I started using them earlier this year for dog walks on days that my dog is not at day care. My experience has been so-so. Pros: * Dog walkers are all friendly, professional, and seem to really enjoy being with my dog. * Dog would return as tired as I expected for a 45 minute walk. Cons: * Was told when I signed up that I'd have a primary dog walker with occasional use of a backup. That was true until primary left for another job. After that I had 4 or 5 different dog walkers, most of whom had not met the dog prior to the walk. * The online booking system is nice to have but overall a pain to use. Also, you credit card is charged on booking, not when services are rendered. * My biggest complaint is the appointment requirements. When I first started it was a quite reasonable 48 hour advanced notice. But, it then changed to 4 days notice for weekend appointments. On top of that, a hefty surcharge was added for holiday weekends. In summary, although the service was fine when it fit their schedule, I've now moved over to one of the many other dog walkers in the area who are more accommodating and flexible. Update: I'm also turned off by their relentless self-promotion to customers. They regularly ask customers to write positive reviews and vote for them in contests. I wish they'd spend the same energy on their services instead of on marketing their services. read more

Love love love Tanya and crew. I've used them for dog walking on days when I'm working late or have plans after work. During our initial meeting, the owner showed me proof of their insurance and bonding making me feel secure in giving them access to my apartment. I've never had a problem securing the time I ask for. Scheduling is online and easy. A confirmation is sent to you once a walker is scheduled. Payment is done through a pre-filed credit card authorization form, so I never have to worry about leaving cash or going online to pay. I appreciate that they leave a little summary of the visit, letting you know your pet's deposition when they visited and what "business" occurred on the walk. They take great care of your pet. I've used the place twice now for my cat Pepper. Two different sitters, but both are excellent. Not only did they feed my cat and clean his litter box, but my cat loves company and they provided the company my cat needs. When I got back, my cat wasn't so starved and needy, because he got the attention he wanted from TopTails. What I really loved was the notes that wrote upon every visit. The notes described what happened on each visit and you can tell they did the job, because the descripitions of my cat were very accurate. I read them, "Yes this is how Pepper would react in this situation!" Its easy to set up appointment, just do it online and very cheap and affordable. Top Tails is the best! I moved to Philadelphia just about a year ago and wasn't sure where I could find a good dog walker for my little dog Stella. Top Tails isn't just good, they set a benchmark for other providers. Allison walks Stella almost every time and is absolutely fantastic. Things I like: 1) They leave notes about how the dog walk went and how Stella behaved during the visit. 2) Very flexible scheduling and availability. I have had several trips out of town and Top Tails was always available to help care for Stella while I was away. I've also had to make adjusts to her schedule (my own mistakes--I'd double-booked or done something weird) and Tanya and Holly are super great about adjusting the schedule and fees on my account. 3) Extremely friendly and caring dog walkers. Allison is Stella's primary walker and is absolutely wonderful to Stella. This is SO IMPORTANT. My dog is basically treated like a child (except that I give her strange foods, unsafe toys for children, and animal bones) and having someone walk her that is as alert and in tune with Stella as I am really makes me feel very comfortable and secure when I'm away. 4) They know the other dogs in my building. This is good because if walks overlap, even though Miss Stella has individual walks, Allison knows Stella's dog friends and lets them say hello or play a little if they pass in the hall. 5) Stella is always in a good mood when Allison visits. She is in an especially cheerful and playful mood when I get home from work. 6) Insured and bonded. Again, this makes me feel comfortable leaving my dog in their care. 7) Very familiar with my neighborhood. This is great, because, as you would expect, Allison and the crew know where it's "safe" to take Stella and where not to take her (which isn't always as obvious as it seems). 8) Accommodating to special requests. Sometimes I like to leave the sliding door outside open or the TV on ---or have Stella fed or a variety of other things. Allison and the team always make sure they get whatever requests I have done (shut the sliding door, turn off the TV, etc...). I've recommended Top Tails and Allison to a number of friends in my neighborhood and people at work and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to any one. read more

Top Tails = Top service! We have been using Top Tails for about 2 1/2 years now, and we have never been happier about a pet sitting service. Our cat is always happy when we return from a trip. I love that they fill out detailed reports about your pet. They also water plants, take in the mail, and take the garbage cans/recycling bins in or out. We recently locked ourselves out of our house and our rental company never returned our frantic calls. It was Top Tails, having the spare key, who really saved us. Very satisfied with Top Tails! Our cat has never been boarded in his 16 years of life, having always had nearby friends and family to come over and take care of him. When we moved to Philadelphia, we didn't know anybody and were extremely concerned about having to board him when we went out of town. But then... strolling down Main Street in Manayunk... Top Tails to the rescue! The pet sitters take great care of him, and always follow the detailed notes we leave them about our cat's idiosyncrasies (which change from time to time), such as only drinking distilled water one month, or wanting to drink out of the stopped-up sink and bathtub the next. The prices are reasonable, and I value the option of choosing the length of time for the visit: 15, 30, 45, or 60 minutes. Tanya, Holly and the rest of the crew at Top Tails were spectacular with my dog, Bruce. We used 2-3 times a week for regular walks during the 4 years we lived in Manayunk. We recently moved out of their service area and I was very sad we'd have to find new walkers as trustworthy as TT. I've been using Top Tails now for about 2 months and they have been absolutely amazing. They leave personalized notes after each walk letting you know what your dog did(bathroom wise), how your dog's mood was as well as a handwritten summary of the walk.
