Absolutely the most kind and professional nail technicians I've ever had! I've been a regular for years now, and they never lowered their standards. The shop is clean, they give great recommendations and are very helpful. The pedicures I get there are the best in NE Ohio that I've visited. They are super throughout and don't rush me out of my chair, just because a customer is waiting (unlike other nail salons I've been in). They are working small renovations that keep looking better & better and are constantly cleaning too! 10/10 service! read more

I had to add another star. The new pedicure setup is amazing. The new chairs have basins that use disposable bags to keep things cleaner and more hygienic. My mom still get the deluxe pedicure. The staff is so friendly. They know my mom and I by name. Well we do get people to upgrade to the deluxe pedicure when we are there. No they don't pay us or give us freebies for doing it. It is just worth it. Plus I also use it as a cheat day and get my favorite veggie burger and sweet potato fries at the burger place on the corner. read more

Received a pedicure and the tech was really rough. She sanded the top of my foot with a pumice stone! Ouch! She also placed all her fingers between my toes which was kind of painful. Service price was reasonable. They should also speak English instead of their native language while servicing clients. It's rude when you make eye contact with other nail techs while they are speaking a foreign language. Made me wonder if they were talking about me. Loved my nail color! read more

Ouch!!!! Most painful pedicure ever! The lady doing my pedicure was so rough. She pulled and yanked when working on my toenails. I yelled "ouch" at one point and she didn't even acknowledge it but just kept yanking. I had to tell her "stop that hurts" before she stopped. The employees here just talk amongst themselves and yell commands at you instead of talking to you respectfully. The place itself stinks of the chemicals they use and has no air flow. It was hot and smelly in there. Never again! read more

I absolutely love this salon! I went here on a whim because I was new to the area and this was the first place I saw. There is no need for me to look anywhere else. I have been to several nail techs and every one of them have done a great job. I usually get a Shellac manicure which lasts in good shape for almost 2-3 weeks. It still doesn't chip or peel after that, just grows out. They have so many colors to choose from too, not just in regular polish but in the Shellac as well. The pedicures there are really great as well. They are affordable and very professional. It's often busy and I see the same people in there frequently which tells me they consistently do a nice job. It may not be your fancy mall or high name salon but for the price and the service it's worth it. They've done better than several of the high end salons I've gone to. read more

Though I don't get manicures or pedicures too often, when I do, I always come here. Reasonable prices, great service, clean and sanitary. What more could one ask for? I liked to go here because it was close to my house and the staff is kind, but the last couple of times I went for a pedicure the woman was very rough and cut me with the cuticle nippers. I've also noticed that they reuse things like nail files, buffers, and pumice stones. These products are porous and cannot be disinfected and are supposed to be discarded after one use. It worries me that I will end up with an infection from using dirty tools on top of them having just cut me. It is not worth $30 to end up leaving with sore cut up toes. Plus $30 should more than cover all expenses of a pedicure such as using a new decontaminated nail file and pumice stone. read more

I've been here a few times. It's clean. But the nail techs are just a no for me. The older lady who did my fill in told me she had to charge me so much because of the poor job done by the salon that did my nails originally. First off, she only had to do 2 repairs. She complained the whole time and kept trying to talk me into getting gel polish. I did not tip her. I decided to give them another chance and got a different nail tech who argued with me about the color I chose saying "won't look good on your skin" & "too light pick something else". I used to love this place as they always do a great job. The last few times I was there I had to walk out because of the few people they now have working there. There used to be many more employees working on a busy weekend but today I counted 5. There were 8 names on the list and they quoted an hours wait. What they do is have clients sit in the pedi chairs and at the mani stations to make it appear there are fewer people waiting. I've gotten stuck sitting at one of the stations and had no one acknowledge me for a half hour. Also, they used to greet you when you walked in the door but not anymore. I feel like they've gotten less appreciative of their clients and they are just not into customer service as they were before. read more

HORRIBLE!!!!! Had my nails done with French shellac. Next day, one of them peeled off. Had to go all the way back to get them repaired. Two days after that, TWO of them peeled off. Went all the way back to get them fixed. VERY NEXT DAY...the one that was just repaired, PEELED OFF. If I could give 1 Star, I would! Today is one week since I've had them done, and I've been there twice to just have them repaired! Never will go back! read more

This is a TERRIBLE place to get your nails done! I've been there three times and each time something went wrong. Then when you tell them about it and want to speak to the owner/manager, they avoid your request like they don't understand you (knowing damn well they do). They do shotty work and this place and it's workers aren't worth your time or hard earned money. My advice: STAY AWAY! There are plenty of other nails salons out there. Don't let the name "Top Star" fool you because there is nothing "Top Star" about this place or its employees. I used to love this place, I would always go here for any nail needs and also recommended a A LOT of my friends to come here but after the last time I was in I will NEVER be back. I went in for a shellac manicure and was taken care of right away but then I get this young guy at the station who is nothing but rude. I told him as soon as he came over that I cut one of my fingers and that I might bleed when he does my manicure and he asked me if I cut my own cuticles and I said that I did sometimes but not too often then he said "well I hate to brake it to you but they look like shit". I am a nail tech so I can assure you that my nails didn't look bad at all when I went in there,this is the WORST customer service I've ever seen or heard of, and of course I wanted to get up and leave right there but I didn't, looking back I'm not sure why and now it's 7 days later and I have 5 chipped nails and one nail that's completely missing. They 100% fail in customer service. I have been told incorrect wait times (wasted 45 minutes before being told wait would be an additional 30 minutes), they discourage setting appointments, so waiting is inevitable. One of the techs is terribly rough and causes pain during manicures (I've heard other customers say, "ouch", "that hurt", "I hated (my pedicure)". I went there b/c my regular girl was busy--biggest mistake! While it's true, the prices are reasonable, I am extremely dissatisfied. The equipment is dirty for starters. Not a sign of a good business. My nails were left sharp and uneven looking. The tech barely spoke to me but had no problem chatting with nearby co-workers. At least 3 of my fingers hurt from being mowed over with the nail tool. My right thumb was gouged by the tool he used without apology. (My cuticle is a lovely shade of red now.) read more
