Really nice addition to Maui for the keiki! The island doesnt have a lot in the way of kids play or party places so this is nice that we now have to from time to time. They do parties too! Parking - really easy and plenty Price - really reasonable at $10/hr for kamaaina (free for the parents accompanying) Space - nice and spacious with several "zones" I took my 2yo to check out this new indoor play space in Kahului. We're so happy we did. There's plenty of play space and things to keep entertained. Maui's newest play area geared towards keiki of all ages! We appreciated being welcomed by the friendly staff who had us sign waivers & answered all of our questions. The cost is quite affordable even without discounts! Socks are required, but you can bring your own! Snacks and soft drinks are also available for sale. We opted for the toddler area but will certainly be back to check out the foam dart arena upstairs! The toddler area is for littles 5 and under with adult supervision. The soft play area includes a play structure, play house, tree house & "grassy hill" among other items like cushions & pretend play items. Across the way, the little ones also have access to a popper-style foam ball game which mimics the foam dart arena upstairs. We just hosted my son's birthday party at Top Shot, Maui's brand-new foam dart arena, and I have to say--it was a "hit!" Even *before* they opened, my son spotted their sign and immediately asked, "Can I have my birthday party there?" We stopped by in July to check it out. The team at the front--young staff--were super helpful and kind. You could tell they're still learning and getting their footing, but they answered all our questions, and even let us tour the space before booking. Dina, the owner, was especially helpful and friendly the day of the party--definitely appreciated! We ended up choosing their party package because it felt fresh and fun--finally, something new on Maui! After years of rotating through the same two or three birthday spots, Top Shot was a welcome change. Setup and breakdown would be easier, and the whole place is air-conditioned--a *huge* win when your kid has a summer birthday. On party day, they had four tables reserved and covered with table 'cloth' in our chosen color (blue!) which was a nice touch and complimented our whole Nerf Battle Birthday Bash theme. The downstairs area is perfect for younger kids, with soft play options, and the upstairs is where the foam dart arena action happens. Both levels have seating for parents to lounge, which I appreciated. The staff checked to make sure waivers were signed, gave each child a wristband, and had a safety briefing before they got started. Shoes came off, cubbies were available, and kids could choose their gear--eye protection or face mask--and then pick from an entire wall of Nerf guns from manual to electronic (part of the party package). The arena itself? Total chaos in the best way with darts and balls flying everywhere. The kids had an absolute "blast" and didn't want to leave--they were already asking to come back before the party was even over. It was everyone's first time there, and I think Top Shot gained a few new superfans that day. That said, pricing is on the higher side compared to other places, but like I mentioned, we wanted something fresh and different. Even with kama'āina rates starting at $25 an hour, it can add up quickly--especially for families with multiple kids. Hopefully they'll consider adding some creative specials in the future to make it more accessible. E.g. "Target Twosday: $25 two hour play" or a "Friendly Fire Fridays - Half-off second sibling/admission a. Just something, ya know? Need something different to do with your little ones or older ones right in town? Theres Top Shot. I take my little one here a lot when daycare is closed or if my little one still has a lot of energy to run off and the weather is off and on outside. $10 for kama'aina for a whole hour and $25 for a full day and you can leave and come back if you want to. Its clean, air conditioned, free wifi, the staff is really nice and its right here in town. We need more places like this. I know this is maui and our population is smaller than oahu but we could use more places like this for families. I might be showing my age but I grew up going to places like Discovery Zone on Oahu and of course bowling alleys (another thing we need). We do have 2 Fun Factorys which is good...but anywho here are some tips for Top Shot: -bring your own socks or they have some to purchase for $4 -bring your own food and snacks if you can otherwise they have some to purchase like chips, granola bars etc. - they are CASHLESS fyi. They only take cards for payment Otherwise, check them out. I posted lots of photos. We stopped in one day just to take a tour and we ended up staying. This place was so neat we went twice on the same day. I have a toddler and she had a great time at the downstairs level. There's a lot of hands on and playground area perfect for getting out energy. When my husband first looked this place up he felt like it was aimed at older kids for the Nerf type of toys but this turned out to be an upstairs thing. The place is really great for a wide age range for how they have it sectioned off into different zones. I appreciate how the people working there are great at enforcing the rules posted for safety. This is huge. The place is fun and nice to get out of the heat for a while. Bathrooms were clean and there's a little nook upstairs to change diapers with a changing table. When walking upstairs there's a viewing area with seating, and a cool setup for kids including eye protection. There was a huge artistic Banksy-esque vibe with art around the whole place. The castle area is also cool but I would caution any parent whose kids put little objects in their mouths to watch out. My two year old loved playing here. They also do birthday parties and you can eat here with the option to buy snacks and drinks. This is an awesome place for kids and it's got a great layout I really enjoyed. read more

Wow I love this place, I've only been here once and it was definitely an experience. I went out with all my friends and we all had a fun time bonding with the staff and each other! The staff have obviously been doing an amazing job, especially since most of them are teenagers I think this makes a more positive environment and it's easy for them to communicate with the kids and people their age. Great job Top Shot fam ! The battlefield was an experience, we all definitely had that room full of laughter, it worn us out! read more

I took my 8-year-old daughter and her friend to Top Shot for the first time, and unfortunately, it was a big disappointment. The girls were really excited, but the experience fell short in several ways. The staff was rude and unhelpful. When I asked about the different gun options, the woman at the front desk was very short with me and pushed the more expensive "turbo gun" upgrade, insisting it was easier to use. That wasn't the case at all. The kids spent most of their time struggling to reload the guns, and several didn't even work properly. We got little help and even attitude from the staff at the gun station. I paid $72 for two kids and they only got about 15 minutes of actual play time. Very disappointing experience -- I would not recommend it. Save your time and money read more

Rude staff, one of the younger shorter girls was really rude. The boy that works there is really nice. He got mixed up with bracelet colors. The time for green bracelets were over and he was confused between neon green and another green. I went to assist my daughter and mentioned that the woman downstairs said I had til x time. She rudely said "I didn't even call your color bracelet!" And snobbed me and rolled her eyes. Caught me off guard. Then she snapped at the boy about the colors in front of me. The boy was still so nice and apologized. Another woman that was in the gun room when we first arrived seemed very irritated that my daughter's gun kept getting jammed. She got mad each time my daughter had to take the gun back. Spent a lot of time on jammed guns, and they don't extent your time. It's your fault the gun is jammed, I guess? I don't see this place lasting due to rude staff. Especially with the local community. These are local staff being rude to local residents. Def not a good thing. Coconut wireless is real and news will spread to not go there. If the staff were awesome, I see this place lasting long time, even if the dart arena upstairs falls short. Nothing like the Oahu one for sure. My son wanted his birthday party here. I said heck no. Can't imagine 10 kids with jammed guns and employees being pissed about it.
