Apparently, you go here for the chicken and select your level of hotness based on the plethora of hot sauces on your table. The food is Portuguese style and overall we were a satisfied family of 8 people. The platters come with a choice of two sides. If you are a soda lover, make sure to get the bottomless soft drinks. The service was good and the food was good. I had never heard of Nando's before, but after digging further there are a few locations within the states.

I must have been to this restaurant over 50 times and never had a negative experience. Thats a pretty thorough test. The food is consistently delicious, the service is always efficient, and they do lots of corporate discounts for the likes of Co-op and NHS staff. A great loyalty scheme that works really well including an app for your phone where you can see how you are progressing toward some free food, and you can also review your previous visits to Nando's as well as locate the nearest branch - which I found very useful in London. On my latest visit, my entire meal was free thanks to the loyalty scheme, all I had to pay for was my drink. A recent refurb has kept their branch looking fresh and the new booths they have created on the ground floor make the dining experience a little more private than it was previously. The only potential downside can be that sometimes they are too busy, as a victim of their own success. However, nowadays, this has been relieved somewhat by the opening of another Nando's on the Arndale shopping mall less than 5 minutes walk away.

I usually get slightly overwhelmed with so much choice, but for some reason that is never the fact here, maybe it is because there is literally a food for every mood! there is... Pakistani, Chinese, Italian, Mexican American and British. It is also quite an attractive place to dine, there are huge glass windows to two sides of the restaurant which let in alot of light during the day, the atmosphere has always been chilled when I have gone, never noisy or rammed.. all in all quite a tranquil setting, even I suppose for the lobsters awaiting their demise in a tank by the entrance! The service is friendly but sometimes seems a little chaotic in busy periods, this have never detracted from my experience though, as the food is good... not earth shattering though. Considering the surrounds and choice, put that together with the reasonable pricing, and you are on to a winner! Expect to pay around £7 for a main course! Certainly a nice place to go with a group of friends, especially in no one cab decide what type of food to plump for! You can order take away food from here too.

The music seemed slightly disjointed with the Mexican food we ordered. The food came promptly and the portions were generous. We shared a three starter dishes for £12.99 which I thought was a nice touch; enabling us to try 3 different dishes for a reasonable price. The crispy chicken bites were particularly good. My friend was disappointed at the small number of wraps he got with his fajita but was given more on request with no extra charge. His fajita mix (I tried it) was delicious. My steak enchiladas were decent but didn't pack as big of a flavour punch as I was hoping for. On the whole it was a decent and filling meal for a not unreasonable price but I do not think I'll be rushing back.

However after…read morereading Mark B review he has said he wouldn have rated it higher if he had not attended Fazenda. Looking at the website I thought it was worth spending that extra fiver as it looked swisher. Using the websites booking system it was very simple to pick out slot for 19:30. On arrival there was a reception desk who immediately acknowledged us and a waitress who I felt had been waiting for us led us immediately to a comfy leather booth. The waiter who served us for the rest of the evening queried whether we has been before. When we all shook our heads he explained that after helping ourselves to the salad bar we would simply flip this carded disk to green when we wanted meat and red to stop. After choosing a fazenda cocktail and malbec we waited for our drinks before we set off. The booth was stunning we were walled in by bottles of wine . In front lay the well presented salad bar and the lighting in general made it feel eloquent. Browsing the salad bar made me happy it consisted of various cheeses, sushi, stuffed peppers, dolmas, asparagus, stir fry, mushroom and other rices, roast potatoes, pork stews, prawns in mango, whitebait, chorizo and many others . Basically it wasn't your average salad bar it was creative and hard not to go mad with it. Sitting down with our catch we flipped the disk to green and let the meat commence. The service was so frequent and attentive there were no gaps on waiting for meat when it was set to green. We had beef skirt, pork belly, chicken hearts (thought I would give it a go!) Rib eye steak and various other cuts of meat cooked to my standard I.e rare. However my friend was a well done person so the waiters would cut bits from different parts to ensure this. After devouring some minted lamb the waiter asked if there were anything else on the meat menu that we had not tried. Spying the chicken and bacon, black pudding and Gammon with pineapple we selected these. What I noticed is that they do have a veggie option of pumpkin and goats cheese risotto and gnocchi. They also offered tuna steak for pescaterians. To finish I chose a light sorbet consisting of raspberry, scoop of mango and a third scoop of lemon and lime. Overall I could not fault the service so we agreed to the service charge. The ambiance was great and the food. For £32.60 A head I would say it's worth it. I would suggest it's good for groups and couples.

After my last dining experience here, I began to feel unwell I originally put this down to new medication causing gluten like syntomns but after trying the gluten-free pizza again, which looked similar (nothing special in presentation) - it tasted doughy, chewy and disgusting with the toppings sliding off - Maybe the 'best pizza outside of Italy' was made with gluten by mistake? I then tried the gluten-free carbonara, this took a really long time and when it was served it was even worse, the thick sauce was so rich and sickly that I couldnt even have more than one spoonfull and I began to feel sick straight away, it was probably the worst pasta sauce I've taster - perhaps they added more to take away the fact the pasta was bland and the meat burnt/chewy? The staff then proceeded to block me into the restaurant while speaking about me in italian knowing I don't speak it which just topped up my vile experience which would even be embarassing for a chain.
