I guess our job was just too small and they truly were not interested. I find it hard to believe a tree company is so busy that they can't even call back after a month. When we first moved in, we noticed that the tree looked like it had been sealed with some black tar and we worried about its health. We called West Michigan Tree Services to come take a look at it, and they gave us some advice and a care plan. They treated the tree and injected some fertilizer into the roots. They did some other work to it as well in order to give it the best possible outcome. I'd hate to lose this tree, so I'm willing to invest some money into its care. Each spring I receive a tree care contract via email that includes the cost of service for that year and what will be done. If you pre-pay before a certain date, you get a 10% discount, and the work is done that spring. We've been doing this for the past few years, and our tree is looking great! I'm so thankful for the certified arborists and staff for helping us care for our tree. They also provide tree removal and stump grinding, pruning, and land and lot clearing services.

I had to call the office 6 times before they answered this morning. Charged for clean up, however there are still 3 large pieces of tree in my yard. They're was some type of manager (Lansing lesson) there because their Lansing crews had been "caught doing stuff they shouldn't" Do not use this company Edit / Follow up: After reaching out and waiting they did send me an invoice for just over 8500 for the same job, never did receive an invoice for the 13 thousand that they sent to my insurance company. This still seems excessive to me and I did reach out and they were unwilling to lower it any more. They charge for a full 8 hour day no matter how long they are actually on the job, which they state is standard practice, however none of the other three tree companies I called do this. I never received a response to my email questioning this, however, Rebecca was able to email me within minutes when I asked where to send the check. The contact that they make you sign leaves absolutely no protection for you the customer, they can do what ever they want and there is no recourse, including not honoring any estimate given. If you don't pay within 30 days they will charge you interest. This is a predatory company and they are very good at seeming like they are their to help until you get the invoice, then they will not help at all.

One of their men came out to look at the tree on our house. They said they could do the job but gave us no estimate. This maybe partly our fault because we were just grateful to get someone to come out after the storm because we knew other people were in need of tree services too. They came after 2days which was fine because the tree did not penetrate through our metal roof. Thank goodness for that. So the crane came but had to wait for the crew to show up . It did take almost all day to do the job. There was no bill that day. About a week later we received a bill of $30,000 plus for the work. It was One tree! My husband called because we thought it was a mistake. They said they could adjust it so now only$26,000 for the job. Our insurance gave us a check for all the work that was needed to be done other than the tree. We had to pay out of pocket a few thousand dollars to have the other things done. The tree company did not remove the tree or do a good job cleaning up. So if you use Able make sure you get in writing what they are going to do for you and the cost. I wish we knew more of what to do in this type of emergency.

We had them trim a tree as well as completely take out a dead tree. The work on both trees was excellent, quick, and clean. Large limbs from a neighbor's humongous maple crashed through our fence and into our back yard. We…read morewere VERY concerned that more limbs would fall onto our garage, AC unit, or dining room at any time, since the other limbs had fallen on a non-windy day. Josh Hall came out and analyzed the situation, confirmed its urgency, and said he could move us up in his schedule due to the potential danger. He also quoted a price for removing the trunks that had already fallen. His team came out the following Monday, which proved providential, as a big storm was due to arrive that afternoon. They removed the most dangerous portions of the tree before the storm hit, then returned next day to finish the job. My wife and I were GREATLY impressed not only by the skill and professionalism exhibited by Josh and his team, but also by their friendliness, politeness, and attention to detail. We'd been concerned that a couple of nearby pine trees might be damaged by the process, but Josh took care to protect them and they survived with barely a scratch! We appreciated as well how they protected our lawn from the heavy machinery being used, and how WELL they cleaned up ALL of the debris. They also cut and removed the huge trunks from the initial event and even gathered up the broken pieces of fencing, saving me the extra cleanup. I know this is a long review, but Sherry and I can't praise Halls Tree Service (Wyoming) enough for their excellent and timely work.
