Randy and his crew of four young men gave us a quote last Friday, which we approved to trim many of the limbs/branches hanging over my daughter's home in Kentwood on her front yard, 100+ year old maple tree. They arrived as promised, trimmed all the discussed branches, stacked the cut logs in the back yard, dumped the wood chips also in the back yard (which will be used around the house), and cleaned up as promised. I had a terrible experience with Randy's tree trimming. They we're supposed to remove the stumps but hide many under debris they left on top of the stumps. I feel they they enjoyed ripping we off. My wife and I felt ripped off. I understand now why it's recommended to research the people you hire. read more

Had a great interaction with the team from Randy's Tree Trimming. They were not doing work for us, but were cutting a tree down for our neighbor. We walked over and asked what they did with the wood chips and if we could have some. The crew leader paused from his work, spoke with us, walked over to our house and told us he could dump the wood chips in our driveway when they were done with the job. He also let us bring a few branches we had over to their work site and they put them through the wood chipper machine for us. We were very pleased with how friendly and helpful they were! I contracted directly with Randy the first week of March to have a giant maple removed before one side fell. Enter Covid-19. It was well over a month after our Governor allowed them to resume business and we had still not heard from Randy. Enter hurricane cristobal. Yes, it's storm path knocked down more than half of the giant maple that Randy was "too busy" to get to! My kind neighbor's cut up and removed the felled mess for FREE. Finally today, another 30 days later, Randy shows up with a crew of 5 men. My wife very politely attempted to negotiate a new lower price or at possibly cleaning up a few broken limbs from another maple the felled part damaged. Randy very brashly cut my wife off and refused. No price negotiation for less than half the originally quoted tree. No apology for putting us off, and not even a small favor. He then sent 2 of his crew away...and to think two days ago another tree service was directly across the street removing 5 giant trees over two full days and I could have had them do the job for $500 less!!! Just the facts folks. I will not leave any words against Randy. He did the job he came to do and nothing more. Just had a tree removed from the side of our house. It had power lines around it and his team did a great job of avoiding them. They were efficient, friendly and thorough with the removal. Randy is a arrogant person who does not follow clear instructions. I believe he intentionally cut branches I told him multiple times not to cut. June 2017 for the estimate we did a walk through and I told him not to cut the low hanging branches by the driveway, they provided shade and privacy that was very important to me. On July 3,2017 we did another walk through just before he commenced the job at his request. Again I told him not to cut the low hanging branches, only the branches way up high. He then cut the most important large branch I clearly told him not to cut, I ran out but couldn't stop him in time. He destroyed my beautiful view I enjoyed for 17 years, I was extremely upset. Now on March 20, 2018 the next door neighbor hired him to trim this same tree with some limbs hanging over the property line fence. This time he tresspasses almost 2 feet over the property line and cut more of my shade and privacy branches. This arrogant person Randy is the worst I ever encountered. I plan on suing him. read more
