In addition, the business office staff were great! They explained, communicated with respect and offered payment options and always had time to speak with you. They created a safe environment and the school was clean. II was one of my best decision to attend b/c it was indeed a pleasure and learning experience. Sondra E Blue

This institution is an absolute disgrace to the medical community and should be shut down. As…read morestated in other reviews, St. Agatha Career School robs students of their hard earned money by claiming to offer various certifications which are no where near satisfactory for the purpose of employment. As a previous student of their Summer 2019 Phlebotomy program, I can personally say that their course was completely half-assed: they gave us the answers to every state test so that when the final certification test came around, many of my classmates found themselves ill-prepared and did not pass. The textbook they gave us had so many typos, it looked as if it were written by a teenager. We often spent our required 120 course hours sitting around the room, with no assignment other than "free study time", because the instructor came to class unprepared. I could go on and on, but most importantly, the St. Agatha courses offer no ACTUAL CLINICAL EXPERIENCE which is absolutely REQUIRED to gain a job in the medical field. No one wants to hire a phlebotomist-- even if she or she is "certified"-- if he or she has NO ACTUAL EXPERIENCE WITH PATIENTS. I am upset that I gave so much of my time and money to this pitiful, shameful program, and write this lengthy review in the hopes that future potential students do not make the same mistake. If you ever want to have any type of future within the medical field, DO NOT GO TO ST. AGATHA CAREER SCHOOL!

I ask her why she said momma I don't know what I'm doing. Me as a parent voicing my concerns on how is this possible? being a CNA for over 25 years never in my life heard of doing clinicals before learning about it so I called the office and one of the employees asked me how old is my daughter I told her 21 she told me on the federal law. She cannot give any information about my daughter's school , so I went on and said does she have clinical tomorrow? She said yes I said well. I will meet you tomorrow after clinical for you to explain to me. Why is she doing clinical and not ever have took a class to know what to do as a CNA. A hour later she called my daughter and said that she cannot no longer take the class at their school and she will fully refund her. I just wanted to know why she's doing clinical before learning anything about even being a CNA taught to know what to schooling.

Long post alert!!!! Sooooo let's talk about toxic work…read moreenvironments. Unitech Training Academy has to be one of the WORST places to work or attend (don't send yourself or your child to that school). Why here's a few reasons, 1 they haven't had a Pharmacy tech teacher since April and students didn't have books for 3 weeks but they still charged them $15,895.00 for their program and dropped students(while still charging) for not showing up to a class that didn't have an instructor, mind you I was always told to never tell a prospect that the program didn't have an instructor but I definitely still had to fill the class. The EKG/Phlebotomy teacher wasn't even Certified and preyed on the younger students. Mind you that class also cost $15,895.00. I would often voice my concerns about this because it was my job to get the students to enroll and it was also my job to make $15,895.00 make sense (which it doesn't but I did a great job making it). When I voiced it they would gaslight me and add that my job is to enroll nothing else. Well since I felt bad about convincing these individuals to join a school with VERY outdated equipment (no hospital uses the machines they teach with), no teacher and very poor leadership (NO ONE knows who the director is because she stays locked in her office and she doesn't show any concern about them at all) I would only do the bare minimum. I was then written up and was told that I had to the 12th of September to set 30 appointments a week (mind you I don't even get 30 leads a week) or I would be terminated. I started mentally preparing myself to be fired because in 2 years I was the 4th admissions rep so I knew my time was coming. Well that time came today not only was I TERMINATED for not meeting the requirements by the 4th and not the 12th. They terminated me with no paperwork. When I asked the Director for the paperwork, as well as the paperwork from my 2 previous write ups that they never gave me no matter how many times I requested it, I was told she had to check and see if she could give me what I am asking for. I'm not upset at all that I was let go because I have been preparing myself to be removed because I was beginning to question character and integrity and God removed me from where I truly didn't want to be. But the manner in which they unprofessionally went about the matter is what led me to this post. Now that I can freely speak don't waste your time or money at that school! You will have to use Pell grant, subsidize and unsubsidized loans to pay for it and you will get NO REFUND check... save your coins and go to Delgado or Nunez or a free program

My daughter, although excited, felt ill-prepared. They put her in the driver's seat without so much as explaining what the buttons do in the car. The owner was extremely condescending and raised her voice at me when we had to reschedule because of a senior event. She even came to my car saying she my daughter wasn't at an 80% and only had one more lesson: I thought she was supposed to teach her to drive? Is that now why we pay almost $500? Not only that, the school doesn't pick up the student, they have to come to the school. Ultimately, we took a pause between lessons, and our village taught her to drive and got her comfortable behind the wheel. The owner was completely amazed at her 180-degree progress, and she was able to test and pass on her first to last lesson. I do not recommend this school at all, especially if your child has limited to no driving experience.

I'm really disappointed that they didn't even take my son on the interstate. It's kind of like signing up for a cooking class and only teaching them how to do scramble eggs.
