Great school academically! My child is excelling academically however will not return next year!…read more The schools policies are ridiculous. No after school care without a copy of school schedule or employment verification! Most schools allow you to go to after care if your parent is late getting you not Saint Benedict they actually sit your child in an office until they're picked up when there's an after school program that they should be allowed to go! What if you no longer have a car and are depending on relatives to pick your child up that's still not a good enough reason for after school care! What if your child's van service can't pick them up until 4pm still not a good enough reason to need after care! But if you're unemployed and can spend time volunteering and can pick up your child daily at 3 go for it! The teachers are great though!

Beware of Abuse. My daughter was a student at this school for her 3rd and 4th grade year(2021-2023)…read moreI was originally impressed with the school's pedagogy and their promise to "nurture the whole child". What proceeded was 2 years of mental abuse that resulted in physical abuse by her grade teacher(The current 5th grade teacher). The administration then proceeded to gaslight my child and myself. I was told we would need to sign documentation stating that her teacher was never physically abusive towards her if I wanted my child to return to the school. The physical abuse was seen by 4 of her classmates but the administration still decided to not address the abuse. Some of the other teachers are wonderful educators but the administration is lacking and the school environment fosters abuse.

If you need any chemistry courses, save your time and money and look elsewhere. This place has a…read morewoefully subpar chemistry department and the "professors" don't seem to know how to translate their knowledge into practical concepts. Last year, there was a shortage of chemistry teachers, so they pulled a physics teacher to teach chemistry. That poor guy was struggling because he said he hadn't taken chemistry since undergrad. He was a nice guy but he was all over the place trying to remember the many concepts and formulas so I dropped the course. This year, I've got an older seemingly lazy guy who just doesn't inspire students to learn. He doesn't know how to teach to the entire class nor in other ways but expects everyone to grasp the understanding in a few practice problems. He grades very harshly and comes across as difficult to deal with. His course has me loathing chemistry and even more Delgado for not being able to secure better chemistry teachers. I guess the saying is true, you get what you pay for. Paying over $1,000 for a lab and lecture isn't cheap for subpar courses. Oh and don't trust those rate my professor reviews...many are false and inaccurate.

The registration process was simple. The instructor was experienced and quite knowledgeable. All course materials are sent ahead of class digitally. I would recommend this to prospective students who want to add to their skills list, as I unreservedly recommend Delgado and they're "new normal". #yelplove

I've been very pleased with this school on all fronts; the academics are first class, family support is outstanding, and perhaps most importantly, they believe in high standards in a loving, diverse and supportive environment. The kids are happy and engaged every day, and complain when I pick them up. There is low teacher turnover, and the administration is accessible and very in touch with each student as an individual, never a "number". I can't recommend this school enough, and am proud to be an ICS mom.

I attended Hahnville High from 1978 to 1981. It was horrible. On the first day of school in the…read moretenth grade, I could have walked away from the school and never been missed. The incompetent fools that ran the school would not let me register for classes until the first day of school. I had relocated to Louisiana, through no will of my own, from another state. Unless you are from the area, which I was not, you are an outcast. The football coach at the time thought only his jock football players could use the weight room. My parents paid the taxes for that messed up school just like the jock parents! Everyone should have had access to that weight room. A lot of bullying went on in the restrooms as well. Since I can never have my high school years back, I refuse to believe in God for having left me to rot in Louisiana during high school. I was so glad that I went to the University of Florida and got out of Louisiana when I finished.
