Memorial Day weekend, I was able to walk right in, and sit down for a pedicure. Mind you, they had a full house! They had 8 customers in total, each had their own staff member helping them. Very kind, helpful, listened and clarified. Prompt service, I didn't feel rushed, they spent time giving a very good massage too! This is my first time here, and they have far exceeded my expectations!!! read more

Great way to keep 50.00 that they were paid and not do anything for the money. The lady checking me out was rude and when she was explaining that the card had expired and said" I guess you lost that 50.00." Now that was admitting that they had gotten 50.00 and I was not going to get service for the money that a friend had given me for a present. Finger nail polish came off with in a couple of hours after leaving. In general a very poor experince. Considering it is a small business in a small city. I can not in good faith recommend that anyone ever give a gift card from Kathara Spa you or your recipient may be out the money.

As I was getting them taken off I noticed that I had a slight nail fungus on one of my nails. I brought it to the nail techs attention and all she said was "do you want to get a new set and/or just get polish." How can you ask someone that when you can clearly see a fungus on my nail. Second, she said that she was finished getting the acrylic off, I told her there was still some left and her response was "you can sit longer if you want to." They have definitely lost a customer

I'm not sure…read moreif they read my previous review or if it was simply because they were less busy, but they actually cleaned my cuticles during the manicure this time!! I also really love how efficient their process is. They remove my polish, have me soak my fingers while they work on my pedicure, and then finish up with the manicure. It makes the whole appointment flow really smoothly without feeling like I'm sitting around waiting. Just a heads up: they only accept cash for tipping. However, some of the nail techs have a QR code for Venmo/Cash App, so I was able to use that instead. There's also an ATM in the salon if you prefer to get cash. The salon also seemed cleaner this time, which I appreciated. I think I'm going to start trying to come when they're less busy. I usually go on weekends, but this time I went during a weekday and had a much more pleasant experience overall. Still not a 5 because of the priceyness.

I called about 45 min before coming in, and was quickly shuffled back to the same girl who did my nails the first time. I don't have any issues with her, but I did ask to be seen by someone else- this was ignored (or maybe they didn't hear me). I did down at the stable and the original girl feverishly starts filing my nails down. Now they are paper thin, which is what I didn't want. She returned back to other client and continued to work. As I sat there for a good 45-60 min, I watched other girls come in and were seated nearly right away. During my wait, my niece had a full set put on. I went to the gal who did her nails, the same gal with whom I had spoken on the phone with earlier, and she told me my only option was to get in line with my original nail tech. I asked for a refund, and was told no. She eventually gave in and did some filing and painted them clear (I will say for whatever reason she started to paint my blue nails white?‍) The following day, I chipped my paper thin thumb nail on a door, despite being told that the "thinness didn't make them more brittle".

I didn't ask for any extra stuff. No design or anything. Just gel over my real nails. They were talking about the situation in their language in front of me and giggling like I was in the wrong. They finished my nails but my right hand was darker. They added too many coats on the right hand and not enough on the left hand. She drilled some away but it still looked off. I paid but I didn't tip. I would definitely go to another business. This one is not really good or friendly. The atmosphere in there made it seem like they didn't want to be there and it was a chore for them to do my nails.
