It was the MOST TERRIBLE bike packing ever!!! These guys charged me $83.5 and told me to come back in 2-3 hours ...and what I've seen ..they guys just put the bike into the box without ANY protection.. and on top of that look jow the box looks outside ..‍‍‍ You guys need to change your mind about customer service and how to be in business!

Rented two scooters & two e-bikes to hop around the city and visit La Jolla. It was perfect, cruised along the shore and then bolted up into the hills along all the amazing bike paths. Saw so much more than traveling by Lyft and great bike paths going literally everywhere. The daily rental price was very reasonable. Pickup and drop off could have been better, long ride & lyft from the hotel. Delivery would have made it 5 stars.

We rented a couple eBikes for a day of sightseeing in San Diego. The owner was super nice, price for 24 hours was fair, and the bikes were in great shape and easy to use. He supplied us with chargers and helmets. A fun way to scoot around and much better than taking Lyft rides everywhere. Highly recommend Top Jolt Cycles for eBike rental!

Rented two electric bikes from this shop. Todd was very friendly and knowledgable. Helped us with selection of the bikes to fit our needs (and hight) . We rented for two days, so Tod provided us with the charge cords for our bikes, so we can store and charge them overnight at our hotel. Helmets were provided as well. We put quote a few miles on these bikes - they were very comfortable and charge lasted all day both days. Would definitely use this shop again next time we are in the area.

My person and I rented bikes from Todd at Top Jolt for a long weekend. He was able to set us up with bikes and equiptment that was perfect for our plans, riding a couple 40 mile loops around the San Diego area. We were able to pick up and drop off the bikes in Ocean Beach, it was really convenient. Be sure to contact him ahead of time so he can have your bikes ready to go.

Well, when I stroll along any walk path, whether at Balboa Park or here in Ocean Beach's walk path, lots of people are on an e-bike and some have nearly run over me or my pup. So, as the saying goes, if you can't beat them, join them?! I walked in this shop just to look and see and get informed. My first question was what's the priciest e-bike here? Answer: the WEAPON with all the upgrades add ons will put a dent in your wallet $9,999 and you save $$$ if you get the basic for $6k. The WEAPON E-Bike, particularly known in the market as the SUPERHUMAN WEAPON, is a high-performance electric mountain bike designed for serious trail enthusiasts. Weighing approximately 55 lbs, the use of a CARBON FIBER FRAME enhances both strength and agility, allowing for a responsive riding experience. And almost all parts are a challenge to get if the part is out of stock since most suppliers are based in China, who is subject to US tariffs. E-bikes must be used on the street and NOT on walkways/pathways or you can get ticketed by police. Jared was very helpful and informative and I got to look around the shop. The shop was organized and turns out they are authorized dealers of many brands. The shop also sells more affordable $$ e-bikes and are customizable for size and features if upgrades. To conclude, I don't have FOMO and I'm still not convinced I need an e-bike but if I do get one, I would consider this shop because I got great customer service from Jared who was nice and cool. If you're interested in an e-bike this place might have what you're looking for. Recommend

Avoid this place like the plague…read more EZE Ryders is a scammy, rude, incompetent shop that does not give a single damn about its customers--even if you drop thousands here. I've spent over $9,000 with them in less than a year. What did I get for that loyalty? The worst service I've experienced anywhere. Their service department (especially Omar and the big bearded tech) is openly rude, dismissive, and condescending. They act like it's a burden to do the job I'm paying them for. Examples? Sure. Twice now they've accused me of lying about crashing my commuter e-bike just because my derailleur snapped. Newsflash: On powerful e-bikes, you can snap a derailleur cranking the throttle uphill (like on Cortez Hill). I've done it 3 times on 3 different e-bikes. They apparently have no idea what they're talking about, but they'll stand there and lecture you like they're bike gods. Even if they were right (they're not), who cares how it broke? Your job is to fix it. Their workmanship is a joke. They've given my bike back with loose parts (a safety hazard), failed to fix things correctly on multiple visits, installed parts that don't even fit properly, and left my handlebars filthy. For $9k you'd expect at least basic competence. When they got sick of fixing my old bike (which they never got right anyway), Derrick the sales guy pushed me into buying a new $5,000 bike--telling me it would be "easier for them to work on." That turned out to be a lie too. I even paid extra for their overpriced "warranty package," which Omar later admitted covers absolutely nothing you don't already get from the manufacturer for free. Basically, they sold me a worthless add-on for profit. Most recently, I called Derrick for a same-day cable tension adjustment. He told me the service department was wide open and to bring it in immediately. I got there in ten minutes. Omar was literally scrolling his phone behind the counter, but told me they were suddenly "too busy" and I'd have to come back tomorrow. He also claimed I had too many miles on my brand new $5k bike for them to work on it. What? And then, as always, he couldn't resist blaming me with another laughably wrong "diagnosis"--claiming I ride only in high gear. No, the cable tension was off and the chain was catching. That's why I brought it in. It's your job to fix that, not guess wildly and insult your paying customers. In short: They don't know what they're doing. They don't care about customers. They lie to sell you bikes and worthless "warranty" packages. They do sloppy, dangerous work. And they're shockingly rude the entire time. If you value your money, safety, or sanity, avoid EZE Ryders.

Luckily I had a spare tube, but unluckily I didn't have my 18mm wrench to remove the rear wheel. They said they could do it, and I dropped the bike off. They closed in two hours and said it would be done by 5. Walked by about an hour later (no call), and the bike was in the store and done. Go inside and no one was in the store, but I heard someone in the back. After a few minutes we looked in the back and asked if the bike was done. It was, and it was $20 for the fix. I was happy with that! Started riding out of OB, and by the time we hit Morena area, something felt off. Looked down and the tire looked soft. Within 5 more minutes it was dead flat. Had to call for a ride all the way back home. Today I looked at the tire closely with a flashlight and saw that they never removed the tiny piece of metal in the tire that caused the flat. Took the wheel off and put pressure in the tube, only to find the leak was on the inner (rim side) of the tube. Nothing sharp on the rim, so they must have messed up on the install. Why replace a tube and not inspect the tire? And a bike shop that installs a tube wrong that causes a flat? Gave this place 2 stars just for the fact that I'm only out $20

The owner (?), Bill, was very friendly and helpful - let us know the issues with the bikes we were interested in and showed us several alternatives in various price ranges. We appreciated him not trying to sell us the most expensive options, but instead taking the time to help us find the right bikes and accessories for us. He was personable and not in a hurry, and gave us what felt like a good deal on bikes we were excited about. That part of the experience was five stars! When we left, Bill let us know that bikes would be delivered to us the following Wednesday or Thursday. Both days came and went with no word from anyone at the shop, so I emailed Friday afternoon and got an answer Saturday, with an apology and an offer to deliver Sunday morning, which was fine. The person who delivered them let us know Bill had thrown in an extra lock as an apology for the delay (we had only purchased one lock, as he said one lock could be used to lock two bikes), which we appreciated. Still a four-star experience at this point (five would have been reaching out Wednesday or Thursday to let us know there was a delay). We rode the bikes a few times during December and loved them! (Aside - good thing we had that second lock, because trying to lock both bikes with one would have been damn near impossible). After two rides, my husband's rear brakes stopped working. He called the shop and got a message saying to text a certain number (no option to leave a message), so he did and got two words in response - "brake adjustment", and then another text that said, "are you able to stop in?" He replied that we don't have a bike rack that will hold an e-bike, and said, "if you know of a good YouTube video of it, I can do it myself" and then never heard a word back. No troubleshooting, no service recovery, no apology for the brakes not working after two rides on a brand new bike, no recommendation of a video. Just silence. If I were basing this review off our experience buying the bikes, it would be five stars. But in our experience, this is the kind of place that gives you great service while you're purchasing and then doesn't seem to care much once they have your money. Disappointing.
