I had two diseased trees in my backyard that needed to be cut down. Being new to the area, I really didn't know who to call. I got a few quotes that were reasonable, but I didn't feel comfortable with the vendors. I found Livick Tree Service online and thought they did a nice job on their website, so I gave them a call. Can't tell you who I talked to, but they indicated they were pretty busy, but had a bigger job to do in the area and believed they could get mine done on the way back. Although they gave me a time frame (which I don't remember), I didn't hear back, so I called again and they indicated they were still tied up on a larger job, but should be able to get to it soon. Fast forward to the next morning... I was looking out by windows into the backyard and my trees were GONE! I thought I was seeing things at first. I walked out and sure enough, they had come and taken down the two trees. I am a very picky guy and their work was nothing short of amazing. They didn't leave a trace that they had been there. No twigs, no loose brush, nothing. I was amazed at how clean my yard was when they were done. Livick Tree Service does fantastic work at a very reasonable price. I say this for several reasons…read more Nelson Tree Service worked with my finances, understood that I'm not made of money, they got the trees down, and I will rest a lot easier now that I know my kids are safer sleeping in their beds at night. This one tree was a monster, maybe 80' tall, and 2.5' diameter at the base. They didn't have to do this for me knowing I couldn't pay in full or even pay much at all. They did it, because they knew it needed to be done. They did it, because they didn't want them to fall on my house or my kids. There aren't too many companies like this out there. Cherish them when you find them. Another company for example told me it would cost almost 3x as much, that they needed specialized equipment, and that they wanted me to take sections of my fence down too... Nelson's? They showed up, climbed up, used ropes, and saws... No damage to anything.

Two weeks later they showed up unannounced, causing me to be late for a medical appointment. They then did an excellent job trimming my neighbor's tree. Their answering service says to leave a message, which I have done and have been ignored. I would not deal with these people. No respect shown here.

I had a very tall tree that was splitting and if it fell it would of did a lot of damage to the metal roof of my gazebo. Eric came right over and accessed my situation with me. He wrote up a very detailed estimate and did exactly what we had discussed and his price was fair. I wouldn't necessarily vouch for his honesty either. When he failed to coplete the job we agreed on he claimed that we agreed on something else. It's why, unlike others who gave us a proposal, he never offered a written proposal. He also offered an unusually wide difference between cash and a check. I can understand charging extra for credit, but a check?? I wasn't going to argue with him, but, as I told him, I wouldn't hire him again no matter what. I had some good photos to attach, but I had trouble uploading them. I think they are pretty persuasive, but you should have the idea anyway.
