We've tried our best to attempt going to CSP, but every single time something came up; ridiculous! So, finally in late May 2026 we were able to go. There are many trails for equestrians, mountain bikes, and pedestrians; some for all, some for one activity. Since we had all 3 children with us we decided to go on the Nature Trail which is for pedestrians only. Parking was slightly confusing because there weren't that many cars around, but we found a safe spot and from there walked to the trail entrance; it wasn't too far. There are restroom/shower facilities which were clean. Due to my 3-year-old thinking that she's invincible and running off all the time I leashed her for the first time. It worked out fairly well and she didn't fall off any "steep" parts of the trail. I was ready for the double or even nasty looks, but for the first time ever on a hike we did not encounter another soul. Not sure if that was eerie or fantastic. The reason being that the weather threatened rain for this day and I think that is what kept most people out of the woods. It probably did sprinkle a bit, but there was so much green foliage covering the trail from above that we heard the drops falling, but never became wet! Amazing! Almost an amazing Amazon rainforest in truth. The humidity was incredibly thick and you could notice the difference off the trail very quickly. We kept joking that we were hiking in a rainforest in South America or Africa. The trail itself has ups and downs but nothing too crazy. It partially follows a creek, the name I have already forgotten of (thankx brain fog) and Google maps ain't helpful either. Sigh! Anyway, beautiful trail thick with trees. My son found a tortoise that he kept insisting on was a turtle so that was cool. There's also a lake available for boating and fishing I believe, but I don't think it's desirable for swimming. Would definitely love to come back some day to check out other trails and activities. I mean for our urban Upstate area this state park is huge and offers so much. I read they also offer equestrian meetups or the like. And yes, as the name Yelp page suggests (although I'm trying to get it changed to just Croft State Park), there is a campground available as well; the cooler months would be ideal. This is an organization that's a beginning building block to help a kid be all they can be. They learn skills, earn badges, learn respect by example, and go on field trips during the year. They learn camaraderie through their group activities! How do I know so much about this organization? I used to be one! Highly recommended!

Most of the "light displays" were just figurines with lights on them, nothing seemed arranged with any sense of order or design. "Based on the website and the news promotions, I truly thought I'd be walking into a magical wonderland of lights. It definitely didn't live up to that expectation." Almost everything required a separate payment, except for the petting zoo, but the animals were far too large for the small space they were kept in. The whole setup felt disorganized and confusing. There were plenty of inflatables, which might suit very young children who don't need much to keep entertained, but overall the experience didn't feel thoughtfully put together. I wouldn't return.

I attended two separate baseball games this afternoon. One for my five year old grandson and the…read moreother for the seven year old grandson. This is a pretty decent public complex. There's a nice playground for the younger kids and a covered picnic area for families and groups to congregate. There's only two baseball fields but they were in great condition despite the heavy rain that fell on this area a couple of days ago. The men's restroom was in excellent condition. I think that the concession area could use a little bit more diversity. The snacks seemed a bit limited. It was a toss-up between three stars and four. I opted to go up with four stars because my Yorkie Lucy was welcome.
