There are varying levels of obstacles and zip lines on every course. Our favorite course was the zip line course, as it goes the highest into the trees and has the most speed for the thrill seekers :) The workers were helpful when needed, but mostly hands off otherwise. Because of the cool lock and safety system, it's really impossible to mess it up (unless you just totally don't clip in at all) and so easy to use and slide along from obstacle to obstacle. (see pics) We stayed for about 3 hours and enjoyed every bit of it! Highly recommended :) *Note - during the holidays, they have specials at a pretty big discount to buy tickets for the spring when they open.

There was a group about to leave that we could join so it worked perfectly. We filled out the wavers and also rented a Go Pro for our helmet. After that, we got our harness from our two guides. The two guides we had were amazing and so informative and the kept us entertained the entire time. They actually made the experience fun for us. For 80 per person, you get to ride six different lines that range in height, distance, and speed. Before every ride, the guides give safety tips and the best way to enjoy the ride. For a first-time rider, I'm so glad I was in the hands of Canopy Ridge I felt safe and I was never unsure on every line. It also involves some hiking but only a few steps. We enjoyed being in Nature and the weather was perfect. If you are ever in the area of Canopy Ridge Farm is a must.

The class II and III rapids were the perfect size for us. It was slightly challenging in a few places but nothing terribly difficult. It was absolutely exhilarating! Our guide Eric was incredible! He was super knowledgeable and really seemed to know the river very well. We all felt really lucky to have him as a guide. After watching a few other color rafts/companies get stuck continuously, we knew we chose the right people for this adventure. 10/10 will definitely be back again. Things we were glad to have... glasses chords.

We had so much fun ebiking in Banff last summer that i thought it would be fun to do in Asheville…read moretoo. I booked the easy ebike ride which was a 12 mile bike ride into Tennessee. We had a 2pm start (1:30pm arrival) and were the only people registered so private ebike tour for us. TJ was our guide and he was training someone so we ended up with 2 guides, which was great. Both of them were very knowledgable about Asheville, nature (i learned what poison ivy looks like) and biking. It took me a few minutes to get my ebike bearings, but then were off. The first part of the ride was on gravel, which was a little tricky, but it was all good when we hit the road. It also started raining and we got pretty wet...i couldn't decide if the rain made the ride miserable or more fun. Maybe both! The biking itself wasn't too hard and honestly we probably could have done it on regular bikes and gotten a workout, but i do find ebiking super fun. We stopped a few times, which helped with our sore butts and learned about the area. A few hours later we said goodbye to our new friends and headed back to Asheville (about an hour away). They also offer many other activities like white water rafting so recommended if you're looking for a little adventure.

Availability of areas is limited right now due to renovations, but I had no real complaints other than the price. I read online that from 11-12 each day it's limited to kids under 6 and adults are free, but I was charged. When I questioned, I was given free passes for the next time...so just beware. Also, you are required to purchase non-slip socks, but the cost is minimal and you can re-use next time.

The cabins are well designed, updated, and clean. There are tons of activities to do there - we did the zipline, the giant swing (UH mazing!), kayaks, and paddle boats. The staff was helpful and friendly. We also did the hike around the lake which was well laid out and had tons of wildlife along the way - especially turtles! We hiked to a pretty waterfall off of the trail and the whole walk was easy enough for our 5 year-old to do. There are gazebos along the lake to sit and relax and look out over the lake. From what I understand, there is even more to do in the summer! (Slopstical course in the mud looked fun but wasn't open yet for the season) Overall, this is a great place to take a group!
